I have Nine Lives

Chapter 137: A big announcement

Chapter 137: A big announcement

Felix glanced at the queen who was still trying to bite her way out of her bindings and escape making the situation rather awkward as her subordinates already accepted their fate making her the odd one out of the 10,001 tied people.

Her acting was rather childish at first, but since Felix didn't have anything to do while the others were escorting the foxes into the elevator, he decided to observe her for some time as he would enter last.

The more he looked at her. The more he understood, at first glance, he thought that she was just acting out due to anger and that she thought that her capture happened mostly due to luck on Felix's part.

But the more he analyzed her, the more he understood her. He finally realized that she wasn't angry and that her outbursts were her way of coping with the situation.

He could see a deep fear in her eyes that made him mellow out a bit, while she was certainly a bitch.

Felix was above her and he wouldn't pay her with the same actions. He was still angry at her, but his anger diminished the more he saw her tied up from trying to struggle and escape, she was rather pitiful and this made him feel that he paid her for what he did to him in the end, her torture did not affect him, and she only captured him.

"What's your name?"

Felix's voice stopped the queen's struggling as she sagged in her bindings. Her face was down as she looked at the ground making her expression unseeable.

Her antics stopped for the first time since she was captured.

She kept her head down as she asked with a trembling voice:

"What will you do to me?"

Felix could understand that his answer would make her have varying reactions, but he was going, to be frank with her:

"I'm not sure myself I think they want you to publicly declare that you will hand over the spring part of the continent to us."

The woman chuckled as she wanted to clutch her chest but her arms were immobilized so she just stood there with a blank look on her face as she raised her head and looked at Felix:

"Are you sure those are the only things that your superiors will do to me?"

"Yeah, pretty much. We aren't monsters you know?"

"If you act well, we will just let you be as long as you swear on your ancestors that you will serve the lion tribe."

The queen was puzzled as she looked at Felix, she heard quite a lot of news from the summer part foxes when she was staying at the tree, and she knew that the other invaders were very vicious, and they coveted the beauty of the fox kind.

Were the lions different? Or did he just say this so she would put up less of a fight?

She sighed as she knew that there wasn't anything much she could do anymore besides sulk and accept whatever was coming to her, but as a queen and pampered person since her childhood, she could barely accept what was happening.

Finally, the elevator was loaded up and Felix grabbed the queen and entered it before its doors closed and it started shaking as the captain who knew how to operate it introduced the coordinates for the home base.

This operation took around one day, and when they returned they met with the happy and proud faces of Landers and Diorno, they looked at Felix with an approving gaze, seemingly saying that he passed the test that they gave him!

"You have done great, even though I can see that all of the troops aren't present, it's impossible to do perfectly on your first operation as an order-giving general, but I'm still proud of you!"

Landers patted Felix's head then looked at the queen who was by his side, and had her head down, she was almost hyperventilating as she had been surrounded by the lion troops for a few minutes, and she thought that almost all of them were looking at her eyeing her curves, and whispering to each other things that shouldn't be mentioned.

But it was just her imagination combined with her deep anxiety.

The troops could care less about her as most of them either had girlfriends or wives waiting for them at home, some couples even joined the army together.

"We finally captured the last puzzle piece to finish the spring part, it seems that the reinforcements were a good idea on Siracha's part as we are currently ahead compared to the other 2 continents."

Landers then took a hold of the queen's bindings as he ripped them apart, leaving her free.

"Your majesty, we will need your cooperation from now on, do you understand?"

The queen didn't know what to say as Landers looked deeply into her eyes, she knew that he was trying to intimidate her using a combination of his aura and soul power, but that didn't mean because she knew it didn't work.

Suddenly, out of a nearby house, Manitola's voice could be heard:

"Aunt!"

The frozen queen started to relax a bit hearing a familiar voice, but then her head moved directly towards the direction where she heard the voice from.

"Manitola?"

Manitola quickly made her way to her aunt as she gave her a big hug and checked if she had any injuries:

"It's good that you are ok. Where are mother and the others?"

"They are in a safe place for now... but I'm not sure how much time it will remain safe."

She glanced at Landers and the others.

Manitola shook her head as she saw how cautious her mother was of her comrades but she knew where she came from so she decided to comfort her:

"It's ok, aunt, they aren't bad guys... well not that bad, at least they won't do anything to the captured people, unlike some other people that I know..."

Having someone she knew to comfort her and telling its gonna be okay made the queen, less stressed as she took in a deep breath and then looked at Landers while asking:

"What do you want me to say?"

The queen finally accepted her fate as she looked into Landers's eyes.

"Very good, all you will have to say is I'm going to leave the spring part of the Sparron continent to be managed by the Lions and swear an oath on your ancestors that you will serve our tribe from now on."

It was just like Felix had said, which made her look back to him and say:

"My name is Malora."

She didn't tell him her name, but now that they were going to work together from now on, she decided to indulge him.

She then walked with Landers towards a hastily built platform with a new device pointed towards it.

The device was black colored and placed on a stick, its shape was rectangular with a piece of glass at the top of it combined with a handle for easy carrying.

"Stay in front of this while I activate it and say the words I told you."

Landers walked behind the device as he pressed a button on it, making it shine slowly, showing that it was activated.

Malora directly went to work as she said what she was supposed to:

"People of the spring part, I queen Malora the 2nd have abdicated the throne and gave control to the Lions of the Tarot continent along with my people becoming subordinates of their tribe as I will swear upon my ancestors now!"

After her ritual, the one-sided contract between her tribe and the lion's was made, making them direct subordinates.

Landers nodded as he stopped the device and told her she did well...

*********************

In the other parts of the Sparron continent where the message also appeared, some ravens morphed back into their human forms as they swore under their breath and looked towards the Spring part.

They were surrounded by an icy blizzard that made things hard to see normally, but they were using their souls to detect their surroundings, so they didn't have trouble navigating through it.

One of the ravens was Wu Xiao, who knew one of the reasons the lions had conquered the spring part so quickly was Felix.

He felt it deep in his soul that he was the most important reason, their fight, back at the island created an imprint upon his soul.

The imprint was acting both as a detector and a way to divine things about Felix, but the ability to divine wasn't very strong because of their strength difference.

"Those damn Lions... it seems that we will have to double our efforts. We can't let them come and share a piece of our pie!"

"Yeah!"

While the Ravens were arguing, the same could be said about the Kangaroos and the spiders as well as their subordinates, which were of different and diverse races.

Malora's announcement was like a gun powderkeg that was set ablaze and exploded!

Everyone on the continent, be they invaders or defenders decided to double their efforts at their own activities as they realized that things were taking a turn for the worse for them.
