After that, the Spirit King, Grandma Cicerius, and everyone continued chatting.

They discussed the wondrous things the Spirit King had experienced, the strange sights Old Lady Cicerius had seen, and their thoughts on Layla’s vision of the world. They also discussed me, Lefi, Nell’s country, Lyuu’s village, and Rir and his family’s life in the forest.

The conversation was lively and continued endlessly while I took care of Riou, Sakuya, and Setsu.

Eating sweets and drinking good tea, chatting with those who know you well.

The Spirit King had no face, but I could tell from the way he was behaving that he must be smiling.

I’d like to continue chatting with the girls, but it was getting late, so I cut the conversation short for now.

“Well, it’s time for dinner! You two… the Spirit King may not eat things, but please stay with us.” (Yuki)
