A Female Forensic Doctor Transmigrates into a Book as the Female Supporting Character

Chapter 43 - 43 Seventeen

43 Seventeen

Yin Tao had been busy in the autopsy lab, and only managed to sort out the test results when Feng Jing and Captain Chen returned to the police station.

“Little Yin, how’s the situation?” Feng Jing asked when he saw Yin Tao.

Yin Tao handed the autopsy reports and test results to Feng Jing and Captain Chen before she shook her head and said, “There’s no clear information. We can confirm that there are seventeen victims.”

Feng Jing and Captain Chen were shocked to hear what Yin Tao said. Seventeen victims, this case could be considered a serious case.

“The dismemberment method is different. There’s more than one murderer.” Yin Tao felt that there were too few clues in the case. “Moreover, the victim’s DNA was matched. Sun Peng was also among the mutilated corpses. He had already been killed.”

“What!” Captain Chen had originally listed Sun Peng as a suspect, but it seemed like he had to start over again.

“Sigh, the neighborhood is too old. There are no surveillance cameras in the corridor, and most of the neighbors are old folks. Their hearing is not good to begin with. When they know that there’s a case next door, they all avoid it. We can’t get any information out of them.” Captain Chen was worried. This was the first time he felt so lost.

“We can only start with the victims. Let’s confirm the identities of the seventeen victims first.” Feng Jing realized that he had to work overtime recently. There hadn’t been any progress made on Wei Feng and Li Chao’s cases, and this case was even more gruesome in nature.

“Captain Feng, in the past, were there human organ traffickers or blood selling syndicates in City A?” Yin Tao saw Feng Jing’s eyes lit up when she finished speaking.

“Are you suspecting that it’s human organ trafficking?” Feng Jing had not thought of this.

“Not really, but the body parts and broken limbs should have been drained of blood before they were decomposed. If it wasn’t to sell blood, then it was to better store the body parts.” Yin Tao thought of the different body parts and felt a little uncomfortable. It wouldn’t be that bad if the murderer’s intention was to sell blood, but if the intention was really to better preserve the body parts, the level of madness would have been too much!

“The police have been cracking down on the trafficking of human organs, but I’m afraid this phenomenon will always exist in the black market.” Feng Jing knew that although the city looked calm on the surface, the dark underbelly was unimaginable. It was impossible to completely eliminate it with the police’s strength alone.

“Captain Feng, I’ll go and sort out the victim’s information. You and Dr. Yin can take another look and see if you can find any other clues.” Captain Chen walked into the police station with the autopsy reports and test results.

“Captain Feng, my master is still looking for missing information. Come with me to take a look.” Yin Tao brought Feng Jing to the autopsy lab. Su Ning was still carefully examining the body parts. Even though they were broken beyond recognition, Su Ning did not give up on splicing and checking.

“Dr. Su.” Feng Jing respected Su Ning very much and admired his earnestness.

“Captain Feng, there’s another new discovery.” Su Ning gently picked up a small piece of body part with skin tissue and gestured for Feng Jing to take a look.

“Most of these body parts have skin on them, as if some parts were deliberately cut off. Also, there are some tattoos and moles on the skin. I think the killer’s psyche is probably that he dismembered the body parts for fun.”

Su Ning’s tone was calm, but what she was saying sent chills down one’s spine. It was reasonable to dismember a corpse to hide it, but it was really difficult to accept that it was done for fun.

“Moreover, none of these limbs are from the same part of the body. Master and I just put them together briefly. Other than not having a head, the remaining limbs can roughly form a general human figure.”

Yin Tao thought for a moment before she continued, “The seventeen deceased constituted the left and right arms, neck, chest, waist, left hip, right hip, left and right legs, and the incomplete limbs.”

“Did the murderer do this to reassemble a person with different mutilated bodies?” Feng Jing also felt that the case was a little ridiculous. If this was really the murderer’s goal, then they would be dealing with a psycho.

“I think so. However, he gave up on this idea for some reason. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have abandoned this bucket full of body parts.” Yin Tao was very worried that the murderer would go on collecting body parts again, in which case there would be more victims in City A.

“We can only start with the victims and see if there are any mutual acquaintances or if they have anything in common.” After Feng Jing finished speaking, he exchanged a few words with Yin Tao before returning to the Serious Crime Unit.

Yin Tao felt a little uneasy. In the original novel, Yin Tao didn’t insist on being a forensic doctor, so the novel mostly depicted the love stories between the male and female protagonists, and some commercial disputes.
