A Husband For Killer Mom

Chapter 156 - 156 Ch. 156 The First Fight

156 Ch. 156 The First Fight

While Michele was looking for fresh air by the pool, Anxia looked for one on the roof while looking at the night sky. At first, her vision was clear, but it became more and more blurry as if something was blocking her eyes.

“I’ve really turned into a crybaby,” Anxia muttered as she bent her knees in front of her chest, then looked at her hands on her knees as she buried her head behind her folded hands.

She tried to calm herself down so she wouldn’t keep crying. Although tears had stopped flowing, her heart still ached. Anxia never expected that fighting with her husband would make her this painful. She would not have quarreled with her husband if she had known this.

Why? Why does she always make mistakes? Why did she always end up regretting she did something?

Back then, while she was undergoing the harsh training of master Yu’s right-hand man, she could have chosen to give up. Anxia could have resigned and died on the spot. Anyone who failed to face master Yu’s training would be left to bleed or starve to death.

Many candidates failed, and there were always deaths almost every day. Most of them chose to give up and decided it would be better to die than live to become a killing machine.

But at that time, Anxia was unwilling to give up. With determination and the will to survive, Anxia overcame all the obstacles, sweat, and blood. She tried to be the best before finally getting her first assassination assignment. And her first victim to her ruthless hands was none other than...

Anxia’s trance of the past was interrupted when she noticed a light coming from her hand. She raised her head to look at the source of the light and noticed her bracelet was glowing yellow.

‘I’m sorry,’

.....

Richard’s couple bracelet had five different colors, and the two agreed to give the meaning of the five colors. One of them was yellow, which means ‘I’m sorry.’

“Just in case we get into a fight in the future.” was his answer when Anxia asked why did it have to be ‘I’m sorry’ for the yellow light.

“But we never fight.”

“I hope so. But, it never hurts to be prepared.”

“If I make a mistake, I will immediately look for you, and you can also come directly to me. We don’t need to assign this meaning to yellow.”

“Why? I don’t think it’s a problem. I know you prefer to hide from me when you’re mad at me. So this will make it easier for me to lure you out so I can chase you back.” Richard explained while pinching his wife’s nose with exasperation.

Anxia smiled slightly, recalling their conversation two days ago. Who would have ever guessed the term would also be helpful? After blinking a few times, the yellow light stopped, and now it was a pink flashing color that adorns the words of RC’s Queen.

‘I miss you.’

That is the meaning of the pink color. Anxia was moved by the two lights and knew Richard had been looking for her. She decided to get off the roof and look for her husband.

At first, she didn’t know her own feelings, but after learning that her husband was missing her, she realized it. She also longed for that man.

Even though they had been living together for two years and rarely separated unless Richard went to work, Anxia somehow felt that she had been separated from her husband for years since they had fought.

Upon arriving at the ground floor, Anxia saw Richard waiting for her while opening his arms towards her. Without hesitation or saying much, Anxia immediately ran into her husband’s arms and smiled with relief when she felt a kiss on the top of her head.

“Let’s not fight anymore. I can’t sleep without you by my side.”

Anxia immediately nodded her head in agreement with his proposal. “I’m sorry. I promise that will never happen again. But I still can’t accept that she gave Lori the cold shoulder.”

Richard let go of his embrace and bent himself so his wife wouldn’t keep raising her head to look at him.

“When was she being rude to Lori?”

“She wouldn’t let Lori near her boy.”

“What?” Richard didn’t know whether to laugh or be angry at his wife’s answer. “So you accidentally spilled tea on Michelle just because she wouldn’t let Lori near Eugene?”

Anxia’s forehead furrowed, and she bit her lower lip as if she was trying not to say anything.

But Richard knew his wife’s way of thinking so well that he could guess what the girl was thinking.

“You must be thinking I’m blaming you again and defending Michele.”

“It wasn’t me who said it.”

“Xia Xia, I am not defending anyone. If I have to defend someone, I will defend you without a doubt. But, I genuinely hope you will open your heart to him. After all, she is also part of my family. Okay?”

“Okay.”

“That’s my girl.”

Richard hugged his wife again, but just as Anxia was about to hug him back, a clearing sound broke the silence and caught her and Richard’s attention.

As soon as she saw who had come to interrupt their moment, Anxia’s mood worsened when she saw Richard instead showing a friendly smile to the intruder.

“Michele, I thought you were asleep.”

“I’m going out for a while to get some fresh air. How about you?”

“We will return to our room.”

“Ah, before that, do you mind if I talk to her?”

Richard wanted to refuse the request, but he didn’t want Michele to suspect that he knew about the two girls’ past relationships. In the end, he left the decision to his wife.

Anxia only glanced at Michele and put her mask back on as she told Richard that she didn’t mind talking to Michelle one-on-one.

Like it or not, Richard had to return to his room first, leaving the two of them praying no more drama between them. He trusted Anxia, who said she would not repeat what she had done earlier this afternoon. Therefore she was willing to leave the two of them alone.
