Bloody history
Bloody history
"Uh can someone explain what just happened?" Birch asked confused at the entire situation that just happened. "Nothing you need to worry about , just a personal issue is all." I said reassuringly and he looked doubtful but chose to drop the matter there. "Well all that is left is to gets some tests run on you and then you'll be free to go training in the middle of nowhere again." he says teasingly "What can I say , it's the only place I can find a decent challenge for my team normally." I said with a shrug.-
"Can i get you to leave some blood on this for your tests?" Samantha asked pointing at a slide for a microscope. I drew my spear and jabbed my thumb on it's sharp tip before wiping the blood that leaked out on the slide under the speechless looks of the others. "Does that work?" I asked as I healed the wound in an instant. "Yeah but why do it like that?" Samantha asked confused. "It was faster this way." I said honestly. "I suppose , now lets see what secrets that tasty looking body of yours is hiding." she said with a wink.-
"SAMANTHA!" Watson chastised loudly. "Not my fault the guys built like a god and not lacking downstairs either from what I can see." she says unashamed of her actions. "And you are free to pursue any such interest AFTER this business is over with." Watson said firmly and she groaned but didn't argue. She slipped the slide into a slot on the same machine and started it again but this time there was a problem. "What the hell?" she asked confused as she looked at the computer that let out a sound.-
"Is something wrong with Alex?" Birch asked worriedly and Samantha turned to look at me seriously. "I don't know why but his genetics can't be looked at. I don't mean they don't match but that no information about them can be read , I've never seen or even heard of something like this happening before." she said seriously. All eyes turned to me and I shook my head "Don't look at me I have no idea whats going on." I said honestly. I didn't either since I didn't have anything that would explain something like this at all. "Did you get nothing at all from his blood?" Watson asked and she shook her head.-
"No I got all the normal stuff , you need more salt in your diet by the way." she said with a shrug. "So only his genetics were unable to be read? How intriguing , And besides his sodium deficiency was there anything of note in his results?" Birch asked interested in the answers. Samantha scrolled through the results before answering "Well it looks like his is an aura user from how active his cells are but otherwise it says he is pretty normal all around biologically speaking." she said honestly.-
"Wait you can use aura!?" Birch exclaimed in shock and I nodded "I haven't really made any attempt to hide it." I answered honestly. "That explains a lot of inconsistencies at least." Watson said calmly. "Inconsistencies?" I asked confused. "Aye , the reports of things you've done match the work of a pokemon rather than a human in a few spots like that bit in Slateport. Your body might be strong lad but humans are pretty frail compared to pokemon in most cases so it just didn't add up until now." he explained honestly. I nodded in understanding since it was pretty straightforward all things considered.-
"Why are you so calm about this , do you have any idea how rare aura users are!?" Birch asked in an excited manner. "I don't see why it would make a difference if I was an aura user or not to be honest. Not like I care to go about flaunting it or anything." I said honestly. "I'm with the lad on this one Birch , it really makes no difference as he is already on the list and doesn't need to be told not to spread the use of the stuff for obvious reasons." Watson weighed in and Birch could only sigh dejectedly.-
"Is there something wrong with spreading aura use around?" I asked since I hadn't seen any such information online when i looked it up. "Aye lad auras a mighty and fine thing to have of that there's no doubt but there's a difference between natural aura users and those that are taught it. Natural users are all about balance and the natural state of life and nature in general , they tend to be like you in that they fit in the wild more than they do cities. People who are taught aura however while inclined towards those things are also the same sort of people they were before they learnt it."-
"Sad to say most people would have the power go to their heads and go about doing bad things as a result. Even worse is when it becomes a public part of a country or region such as the case of the old kingdom of Rota that was home to the aura guardians at one time. The orders power is a legendary thing but due to the isolated nature of Rota they only accepted citizens of the kingdom and refused to share their secrets with the other regions near them , Kanto and Johto."-
"There was a war as a result and that once mighty order was destroyed to protect the kingdom and with it the secrets of aura they held as their libraries were burnt down and their members exiled into hiding all over the world. It was one of the few recorded instances of Mew herself appearing to intervein in the affairs of humans as she had seen enough needless destruction. The kingdoms still there you know to the north of those two regions but before that wasteland Orre." Watson explained seriously and i got chills since that was no small matter.-
A fucking legendary like Mew had gotten involved which was more than enough to tell me that the sheer amount of destruction and bloodshed had to be insane. To put it in perspective the great war between Kanto and Johto that they talk about in the games wasn't bad enough to get the same treatment as that one. I shudder to imagine such a scene as it must have appeared to be hell made manifest for a legendary to feel the need to step in to end it.-
Legendry's showing up to aid individuals was uncommon but still within normal things and was considered an honor. But the ONLY time they stepped in for humanity as a whole was when shit was damn near apocalyptical in nature. "Alright so don't spread around aura , noted." I said seriously. "The abilities of aura users has been a topic that us professors have been trying to figure out for a long time but natural users are highly rare and unfortunately quite secretive." Birch chipped in eagerly.
