The system said that the potion was powerful but I honestly didn't realize just how powerful it was until then and tripled the promised payment while embarrassed. 'I wonder if Mr. Stone might be interested in selling this stuff?' I pondered after paying up. Obviously I was going to dilute the potion by a lot as there was a pretty high chance that at least one idiot would try and down an entire bottle without reading the use instructions first. Still even diluted I had little doubt that it would prove popular due to there not being anything like it currently available.-
That was actually an interesting fact about this world that I discovered quite some time ago. The heavy inclination towards pokemon rather than humans meant that quite a few things that were created on earth simply never happened here. One such thing was the sexual stimulants like Viagra that had simply never even been thought about despite there still being people that would want such a thing. Hard drugs were also not really a thing here as even after reading about the drugs that did exist I found none that went anywhere near the level of danger that heroine or cocaine posed to the body.-
Most drugs in this world were hallucinogens that had addictive properties or of course medicine that also had addictive properties if used incorrectly. In a funny twist recreational hemp use had always been legal here due to it being almost entirely harmless and even had health benefits if used in moderation. Knowing this I didn't hesitate to bust out my trusty pokenav and dial up Mr. Stone. "Alex! It's good to hear from you lad! Steven let me know he received the letter quite some time ago but I assumed you were busy so I refrained from bothering you."-
"I take it you are free at the moment judging from your call?" he asked in a friendly manner. "Yeah I've been busy training my team for my next challenge while also polishing my alchemy skills. That's actually why I was calling in fact as I created a couple original potions from my experiments that I think will sell quite well." I said honestly with a small smile. "Oh really? What do they do exactly?" he asked curiously. I then explained what the tears of blood and demons whisper did and even gave the Plusle and Minum pair as an example of the laters efficacy.-
"Hmm , The first one sounds promising for training vision based moves and abilities but the second one sounds rather questionable if I am being honest." He said seriously. "I can understand your hesitance but if you would like you can always put it through a trial phase before determining whether or not to truly sell it in a stable manner first." I said calmly. "Let me talk to my sales team and I'll get back to you about it but the first potion I know for certain that it will be accepted so you can expect to get a nice payment for it at the very least." he said before hanging up.-
I was fine with how that conversation went as I had already roughly understood the direction it would go before I even hit dial. Honestly I thought it was a pain to even deal with the whole selling of my recipes thing but there was nothing I could do since being a trainer was expensive and any source of income was welcome and needed. Even out of the money I had from my previous sale with Mr. Stone was rapidly dwindling after I got into Slateport again as I needed to restock on food and materials for normal alchemy work as I had already blown through my whole supply of the stuff in my mad experiments.-
Vials , flasks , pill capsules and purified water were bought in bulk alongside several bundles of healing potion herbs at grade three. More powerful pokemon obviously needed stronger medicines so naturally the ingredients to make those medicines were also graded based on how strong they were. It helped save alchemists and their clients time and hassle when making potions or supplements for their pokemon.-
Interestingly enough the part of the city that once was heavily avoided because of the traffickers there had quickly been claimed by tourists or sailors that didn't want to leave the city and were all for cheap real estate. I did notice the strange looks I got from the Jenny clan as I passed through the city but chose to ignore it. After being told to leave by Looker I was well aware that my small hill of corpses from the traffickers would be known by much of the league in a short amount of time.-
I didn't care either as all this would prove was that I was willing to take a stand against crime even if there wasn't enough evidence for the normal justice system to do so. The criminal moles in the league would then pass on this information to their bosses which would hopefully keep them away from me. 'Ah who am i kidding knowing how arrogant these teams and other criminals are I'll probably get targeted for assassination.' I thought with a sigh as I headed for the docks to try and find Mr. Brineys ship since he was supposed to come get me today or tomorrow.-
I assumed he parked the boat at the docks since that only made sense but I was perfectly willing to admit he may have gone to the beach again like when he dropped me off. I have no idea why most of the sailors had white and blue uniforms on and honestly I didn't want to know as I walked the docks while looking for the boat. There were a few personal use boats at the docks but none of them looked like Mr. Brineys so I could only sigh and head towards the beach.-
Unlike during the evening when there it was empty the beach at the moment was full of people that were there for whatever reason. Lo and behold so too was Mr. Briney and his boat relaxing with his Wingull as they waited. "I hope you haven't been waiting too long for me." I said as i walked up. Mr. Briney looked up from his magazine at this "Hmmm? Oh it's you lad , no we just got here about an hour ago in truth." the old man said with a grin.-
"Lets not delay then and get going so you both can find a place for the night." I said with a smile. "Good to see you in such fine spirits lad , last time you had a sort of barely contained fire burning behind those eyes of yours. Not that it's any of this old sailors business ho ho." he said with a chuckle as he started up the boat and began our ride to Dewford. 'What is with older folks and seeing through me?' I complained mentally as this was the third time since entering this world that I was seen through by an older person.
