A random pokemon journey

To my surprise I got an invitation to the new Realgam tower the next morning over my PDA. It wasn't a personalized thing but more along the lines of one of the automated messages that got mass sent. Still I thought it was an interesting distraction as I hadn't seen another competitive tournament since the one I myself held right before I left Hoenn. "What do you guys think, sound interesting?" I asked my pokemon with mixed responses. Rune, Tank, Vulcan and the little one were interested in seeing this tournament. Hades was as usual neutral in that it didn't care either way.-

Gaia and Yani weren't interested at all though and chose to stay home while the four of us went to go check the tournament out. I rode on Vulcan to the tower while Tank, Rune and the little one flew overhead until we got there. We made a bit of a commotion when we arrived as the other people coming for the same reason as well as those here to participate saw us. There was a lot of gaping mouths and awe filled gazes as I dismounted Vulcan and recalled everyone but Hades that as per it's usual was chilling in my shorts pocket.-

"No need to gawk, I'm just here to watch the show same as most of you." I said with a small smile. This was enough for these straightforward folk and I was reduced to just another face in the crowd. By the time it came for me to find a seat all of the lower seats of the huge colosseum stands were taken. That was fine since I preferred sitting at the top anyways as I gave me more room to act if something unexpected happened.-

To my surprise I was approached by someone in a uniform before I could find a seat I liked. "You have been cordially invited to watch the tournament from Master Nascour's private booth if you would please follow me." the dude said politely and I raised an eyebrow. 'Does this guy genuinely not know that I was the one who sacked the lab or is he playing at something?' I wondered but didn't hesitate to follow servant dude as I was confident that I could handle anything they could throw at me. The private booth itself was built in such a way that it was prime seating material at the perfect height and distance from the arena to see all the details.-

It was a fairly opulent as well with a built in minibar and rich white marble floors and bronze statues of the different legendary pokemon sculpted in exacting detail. Then of course there were the seats themselves in this case having a total of four polished wooden thrones with soft red velvet cushions in which three were already taken. In one of them sat a mountainous man with long brown hair and a thick mustache, the mayor of Pyrite Duking.-

Another seat had a short plump older man with his hair styled into to balls at the back of his head and was wearing a red gentleman's suit but despite the smiling face and gentle appearance was anything but. I knew this was the mayor of Phenac, Escade because he fit the description to a Tee. 'So that's where Cypher got their funding and backing from, no wonder they wormed their way into damn near the whole region. That fucked up aura is even stronger than the obviously evil dude sitting next to him, this guys definitely the big boss of the group.' I thought calmly as I greeted everyone here in a casual manner.-

"I must admit that it surprised me to get invited like this considering everything that has happened. Not that I'm complaining mind you as this seating is truly top notch." I said honestly as I casually took the remaining seat. Duking grit his teeth and Escade chuckled good naturedly but the pale demonic looking silver haired Nascour waved his hand dismissively. "The strong take what they want and the weak have no place to complain. We had something you wanted and you took it, albeit a bit more viciously than perhaps necessary. Recruitments going to be slightly more challenging after that incident." the guy said calmly but his voice had a sinister tone to it.-

"You speak as though you expect to get away with it but from where I'm seeing all this you still have a rather large obstacle to overcome and those two have been dismantling your outfit with unstoppable force. I myself won't get involved anymore even if they should somehow fail, you all are simply not enough of a threat to warrant it." I said with a smirk.-

"It is relieving to hear that you won't interfere, as for those two I will personally handle them if they make it that far." Nascour said coldly. "Now now gentlemen, while I may not understand what exactly you are speaking about what I do know is that we are here to witness this grandest of spectacles right?" Escade said acting as a mediator. I thought about revealing the dudes true colors but decided not to ruin the surprise "Indeed, Ah right that reminded me but Mr. Duking I was looking to improve the standard of living in the region and as the mayor of Pyrite I was hoping you'd like to use my resources to renovate your town?" I said with a friendly smile.-

"Uh really? Not to belittle my town but even us locals know it's a rough place, you sure you want to risk so much on a gamble that may not pay off?" The huge man asked trying to dissuade me but I shook my head. "You misunderstood me, I fully expect not to make any profit from this at all. In a manner of speaking you could consider this me donating money to a cause I believe in."-

"Orre is not the gentlest place but it has a unique charm to it I have come to enjoy in my time here, putting some mere money into such a thing bothers me little. So feel up to ripping me off to make your town prosper?" I asked with a chuckle. "When you put it like that seems almost wrong to say no." The big man said grinning widely. "Oh before I forget none of you mind if I let my pokemon watch right?" I asked and even Nascour just shook his head after a tiny peek at Escade who said he didn't mind.-

I released my pokemon who bristled slightly at Nascour and Escade but stopped when I held up a hand. Much like myself they all minus the little one knew how to use aura and thus picked up on the two twisted and strong auras the two villains had. "Ignore them and enjoy the show." I said calmly and both my pokemon and the two villains took that as for them.
