Chapter 89
Su Qiuge’s action to stand up slightly paused. She looked down at the girl and asked with knitted eyebrows, “……what?”
The girl became silent, so Su Qiuge took the initiative to ask her, “Little sister, who are you waiting for?”
The girl paused, then suddenly said, “I remembered my mom told me not to talk to strangers.”
Su Qiuge: ???
Su Qiuge’s face was full of question marks, “Then why did you talk to me just now?”
The girl hesitated for a moment, then she pointed to the band-aid on her knee, “Because you are Hello Kitty.”
Su Qiuge explained, “I’m not Hello Kitty, the little kitten on the band-aid is.”
The girl nodded and then said as if it was a matter of course, “You two look the same.”
Su Qiuge: ?
Su Qiuge stopped entangling herself with this question and instead warned her, “Take this band-aid off when you get home and make sure to not get water on the wound.”
The girl tilted her head, a little puzzled, “Can this sticker cure illnesses?”
Su Qiuge smiled, “Of course.”
The girl raised her head to look at her, “The doctor said I am ill, can this sticker cure me?”
“After I get better, mommy will let me play with a skateboard.”
When she was watched by those pair of large and beautiful eyes that were full of innocence, Su Qiuge felt her heart faintly jumped.
She gently wiped away the dirt on the girl’s face and said with a smile, “Mhm, it can.”
The girl retreated a step, the roots of her ears a suspicious red.
Su Qiuge thought she was rejecting the intimate actions of a stranger, so she withdrew her hand.
When she saw this movement, the girl hesitated for a moment before she finally said, “Are you leaving?”
Su Qiuge originally wanted to say ‘yes,’ but instead she asked, “What’s wrong?”
The girl was silent for a moment, “Can you wait until my big brother comes before leaving?”
So it was originally like this.
The corners of Su Qiuge’s lips curved slightly, “Sure.”
When she finished answering, she suddenly noticed that the little girl was staring nervously behind her.
Su Qiuge was confused and turned her head.
She just so happened to see a figure and a somewhat startled expression appeared on her face.
It was Xie Xinglin.
He carried a black shoulder bag and met Su Qiuge’s gaze for a moment. Then, his cold and indifferent gaze fell on the girl, his voice carried a questioning tone, “ Why did you run out?”
The girl appeared to be afraid of him and hid behind Su Qiuge.
The Su Qiuge who hadn’t reacted yet: ?
Don’t tell me that the big brother this little girl mentioned was Xie Xinglin?
But she’s never heard that this person had a little sister?
Su Qiuge tilted her head and asked, “You are her brother?”
Xie Xinglin nodded and his facial expression was casual. Then, he slowly said, “Pei An’an, if you still don’t come out, I won’t visit you in the future.”
The girl seemed to be frightened. She contemplated for a moment before she immediately trotted out. She very cautiously tugged the corner of Xie Xinglin’s sleeve and said, “Big brother, I was wrong. I won’t do this next time.”
Xie Xinglin remained unmoved and raised his eyebrows, “I sent you back so late last night, yet you still ran out today. Your mother almost called the police.”
The girl sniffed, “Big brother, I was wrong…I really know I was wrong, it’s just that I don’t want to stay in there. It’s so boring in there, I want to go home.”
“Big brother, I want to go home.”
Xie Xinglin’s eyelashes drooped slightly and he didn’t respond. Instead, he directed his attention towards Su Qiuge.
Su Qiuge touched the tip of her nose and explained, “The little girl asked me to wait here with her for her brother. Unexpectedly, it was you……since you’re here, I’ll leave first.”
Su Qiuge was originally curious about the identity of this little girl, but it wasn’t right for her to ask. Who would have imagined that Xie Xinglin seemed to know her thoughts as he raised his eyes and blankly explained to her, “This is Aunt Liu’s daughter.”
