Chapter 213. Armor Crafting.
Chapter 213. Armor Crafting.
Once Liu Shu's conscience was back in the town, she heard many people calling her name, asking what happened. Liu Shu looked at all of them and felt a headache. 'Let's see… Who do I answer?'
After thinking for a while, Liu Shu decided to just throw the truth out and focus on other things. A skirmish on that level did not feel too significant for Liu Shu, especially when Fortuna didn't give her all, at least in Liu Shu's opinion. "I fought with Fortuna, but she left. I will go recover now. Don't bother me if it isn't urgent."
Then, she focused on herself while leaving the top authorities in the town, feeling like their hearts were going to explode with anxiety.
Liu Shu ignored everyone's voices and sighed, moving her conscience into the <Lignified Vault>. "Let's see, how many shards did Eric procure me?'
Currency: Sylvanium Shards [2412], Etherium Shards [2510], Ascendium Shards [1390], Celestium Shards [1462], Cognium Shards [842]...
Liu Shu looked at those numbers with awe. "Let's see. You need ten shards to create flawed equipment; a complete one is made from 100 shards, and a flawless one needs 500. Of course, this same proportion was kept when going from Sylvanium Shards to Ores and higher. According to the material science book, <Sylvanium Shards> transform into <Ores> and then, <Ingots>, <Alloys>, and further up were not mentioned…"
The World Tree pondered further. "To create an F rank item, you use <Shards>, E rank you use <Ores>, D Rank <Ingots>, and C Rank <Alloys>. There is an average conversion of 100 per tier as well… Hm~. I should be able to create something nice. I can transform my thousands of <Shards> into a few tens, creating a few E- Rank items. Or, I can use them to create hundreds of F- Rank armor for the people."
Thinking about it was not enough, so instead, she looked around her vault to find items that were near Level 20 and of relatively good quality.
The problem was that most armor was either unranked or F-Ranked. Sources for the material currencies were hard to secure, so many people had no choice but to use unranked or very low-ranked equipment. Having high-ranked armor was a great advantage.
Liu Shu pondered for a long time, unable to know what type of equipment to make. "I need to divide the Sylvanium to use the rest alongside it. I have 2400 Sylvanium and 5200 of the other shards. Hm… 7600 shards can create 760 F- Rank equipment, 76 F Rank equipment, 15 F+ Rank equipment, or 7 E- Rank equipment."
With that information in mind, she decided to create five E- Rank equipment, one for Flor, one for Ignatia, and three for the three Sylvans. Then, invest the remaining 2600 shards and turn them into 260 F- Ranked equipment that could strengthen a single division as long as the skill accompanying the equipment was strong enough.
'What can I create that will be strong in large quantities even when the stats are probably not good enough?' Liu Shu looked at her skills, and her gaze quickly caught her main crafting skill, which had absorbed basically all her crafting knowledge. "<Runic Living Wood City>... Runes?"
The World Tree was quick to have an inspiration this time around. Her mind flashed with a lot of new information that she had learned about runes, and she started planning. 'The weakness of the Rose Fairies is that they are quite fragile. Their small bodies allow them to move fast and dodge. However, if they are ever hit, they will receive massive injuries.'
Liu Shu looked at the materials in the vault, which had piled up over the last few months, and she spotted a large batch of wind-attributed wood. There was Wind Timber, from an E- Rank tree; Skywood, E Rank; and a few units of Tempest Oak, the E+ Rank variant. "Hm~, there are a lot of wind-attributed materials. Haha, did Flor anticipate I would do this and bought lots? Let's get a few extra for Tempestria and Flor. Since I am here, let's search for fire-attributed materials for Cinderielle and Ignatia and life-attributed ones for Verdantia~."
After that, Liu Shu looked at the materials and hummed. "I need a place to work…" She pondered and concluded that she should create a room below her own body. The ground expanded below her, her roots digging things while also maintaining the structure and integrity of the land above.
After creating this room, she looked at the walls created by her roots with a pondering gaze. "I need to remember to create proper walls and form a rune field to help me craft items. Well, let's first start with the easy ones, the E- Rank items."
These were much simpler for Liu Shu because they were individual crafting pieces. She just needed to focus on them and pour all she knew about their owners into the craft, trying to make it as fitting as possible.
The skills of an item appeared depending on a combination of intent, materials, rank, and crafter. All of them influenced the final result, giving it better or worse abilities.
The items that Liu Shu decided to create were wooden armor. While it sounded clunky, building them with several joints and ways for the body to move easily was not a problem. Then, adding a few extra processes to the wood gave it a light, durable, but flexible integrity, making it almost as comfortable as everyday clothes.
This process was not a fast one. Focusing on it helped Liu Shu with the crafting speed, but she still took four days to create all five E- Rank armors. However, Liu Shu felt that it was worth it.
The finishing products were not only powerful but also very stylish.
[Would you like to name them? Or would you prefer if the System name them?]
Liu Shu hummed and giggled. 'I want to name them easily! That way I won't mess them up! Name them <Flor's Fairy Queen Armor>, <Ignatia's Flaming Carapace Armor>, <Cinderielle's Flame Enhancing Armor>, <Tempestria's Wind Enhancing Armor>, <Verdantia's Life Enhancing Armor>!'
[Understood. Naming <Fairy Queen's Armor>-]
"Huh? Stop!"
[...]
Liu Shu asked, confused. "Why are you not adding the names?"
[... Would you prefer to use <Flor's Fairy Queen Armor> instead of <Fairy Queen's Armor?]
Liu Shu somehow felt a doubtful tone coming from the system, so she strongly and confidently answered. "Of course! That way, no one can steal them! If someone asks, how are they going to defend themselves when they are caught? Saying something like: 'Oh, yeah, this <Cinderielle's Flame Enhancing Armor> is not Cinderielle's; it is mine.' Ridiculous!"
If the system had thoughts, it would've probably felt that it was a lowkey intelligent move.
[Understood.]
After naming all of the armors, Liu Shu excitedly went to check the attributes.
Flor's and Cinderielle's armor pieces had <Etherium Ore> mixed with the materials, giving it an edge in Aether stat increases.
[Level 20 Flor's Fairy Queen Armor (Low-Grade Flawed Level)]
+4400 Aether Mana
+2100 Phoer
+2100 Anima Energy
Aether (+200), Physique (+100), Anima (+100), Willpower (+100).
Skills:
<Rose Fairy Queen Vital Strike>: As long as the wearer is a <Rose Fairy Queen>, they can activate the hidden power of the armor, doubling the attack of the next strike. It can be used once every minute and consumes five percent of the user's Phoer Body Shards, up to 50,000. (Boost loses effectiveness with levels).
<Rose Fairy Queen's Guardian>: When receiving lethal damage, the armor will break and absorb all the damage it can. Additionally, the vital energy hidden in the armor will nourish the user, giving them a 20% stat boost for one minute and healing 20,000 Phoer Body Shards.
Note: A carefully crafted armor that's specialized in boosting the offensive power of the <Rose Fairy Queen> while giving it a second chance at life. The power it hides comes from a beginner Rune Crafter and Woodmaker who used part of a World Tree's branch to enhance it. The second skill is a materialization of the unwavering intent of the crafter to protect the <Rose Fairy Queen>.
[Level 20 Cinderielle's Flame Enhancing Armor (Low-Grade Flawed Level)]
+4400 Aether Mana
+2100 Phoer
+2100 Anima Energy
Aether (+200), Physique (+100), Anima (+100), Willpower (+100).
Skills:
<Sylvan Flame Barrage>: For the following three minutes, all the skills that the Fire-attributed Sylvan will use will have one extra projectile but consume 20% more Aether Mana.
<Sylvan Flame Armor Heart>: The armor has a core with the ability to gather up to 100,000 Fire Aether Mana Shards for later use. If the armor is destroyed, instead, it bursts into a powerful fire nova that won't damage the user.
Note: It's a perfect armor for young Fire Sylvans who want to use offensive abilities without caring about defense. A piece crafted with the intent to allow the Fire Sylvan to unleash hell on those they deem their enemies.
These two armors were incredibly strong and gave significant increases to their <Aether> stat and <Aether Mana> reserves and abilities. Meanwhile, Tempestria's and Ignatia's armors were bulkier and clearly crafted for close-quarters combat.
[Level 20 Tempestria's Wind Enhancing Armor (Low-Grade Flawed Level)]
+2100 Aether Mana Shards
+4400 Phoer Body Shards
+2100 Anima Energy Shards
Aether (+100), Physique (+200), Anima (+100), Willpower (+100).
Skills:
<Sylvan Wind Torrent>: The user can spawn a fierce and sharp wind storm around their weapon and armor, increasing both offensive and defensive power. It consumes Aether Mana and Anima Energy each second depending on its intensity.
<Sylvan Wind Armor Heart>: The armor's durability is increased while also giving the user a 10% speed boost. It can accumulate 50,000 Aether Mana Shards and 50,000 Anima Energy Shards for later use.
Note: It's a perfect armor for young and reckless wind Sylvans who want to charge ahead in the middle of the battlefield, adding great defense to the user. A piece crafted with the intent to allow the Wind Sylvan to dance unhindered among their enemies.
[Level 20 Ignatia's Flaming Carapace Armor (Low-Grade Flawed Level)]
+2100 Aether Mana Shards
+4400 Phoer Body Shards
+2100 Anima Energy Shards
Aether (+100), Physique (+200), Anima (+100), Willpower (+100).
Skills:
<Exoskeleton Fusion>: The armor can briefly fuse with the <Ant Queen>'s body to combine their defenses and enhance them, giving the <Ant Queen> skin a hardness similar to that of her carapace.
<Ant Queen's Distress>: If the armor is going to be destroyed or the <Ant Queen>'s is going to receive lethal damage, all ants in the surroundings will gain a rage buff, increasing their lethality and strength. The <Ant Queen> will also gain a 20% stat boost for 1 minute and be healed 20,000 Phoer Body Shards before the armor completely destroys.
Note: An armor that increases the <Ant Queen>'s defense to another whole new level. It was clearly created with the intent to protect her against all attacks and hastily rescue her in a worst-case scenario.
And finally, Verdantia's armor, which was focused on Anima Energy and boosting her soul.
[Level 20 Verdantia's Life Enhancing Armor (Low-Grade Flawed Level)]
+2100 Aether Mana Shards
+2100 Phoer Body Shards
+4400 Anima Energy Shards
Aether (+100), Physique (+100), Anima (+200), Willpower (+100).
Skills:
<Sylvan Life Flow>: Using a large amount of Anima Energy and supported by Life Aether Mana, you can create a large area of healing energy that will only affect creatures you consider allies.
<Sylvan Life Armor Heart>: Your armor will create a large healing wave of energy before destruction or when the user is going to receive lethal damage, healing all creatures in a ten-meter area by 15,000 Phoer Body Shards. The armor has a core with the ability to gather up to 100,000 Anima Energy.
Note: It's the perfect armor for thoughtful Life Sylvans who want to support everyone on the battlefield. It is a piece crafted with the intent to allow the Life Sylvan's potential to be used, increasing their impact in battle tremendously.
When Liu Shu finished reading all the armor details, she was delighted with the result. They were all strong armor pieces that would help them and increase their survival chance. "Great~. I hope they like them!"
