...

Taking advantage of the wizards being away to capture people, only five or six wizards remained guarding the area.

The repulsive half-human, half-fish demon was extremely cautious, seemingly aware that there were mages pursuing it.

While feasting on souls, it also deployed a defensive barrier.

"This damn fish is quite cautious!"

Chris immediately noticed that this demon was proficient in magic, specifically dark magic.

dark magic was powerful and inclined towards offense. The Midgard mages leaned towards white magic, which emphasized defense, although they also possessed high-powered spells, their overall strength was weaker.

Dark magic focused on attack, while white magic leaned towards defense. However, from an offensive perspective, white magic did indeed pale in comparison to dark magic.

Moreover, white magic had a higher learning curve, while dark magic was simpler.

One had a lower degree of mental corruption, while the other had a higher degree, making it easier to become a puppet of power.

Domam recruited his henchmen in such a way, targeting individuals with obvious weaknesses, making it incredibly easy to recruit them.

Chris secretly took out a bottle of alchemical potion, capable of inflicting significant damage to the barrier set up by the demon.

A faint cry reached their ears, the whispered agony of a soul being devoured by the fish-man demon.

"Now's the time, you little brat!" Chris grinned wickedly as he threw the alchemical potion. The bottle shattered against the barrier, creating a hole and unleashing a blaze that consumed the dim enchantment.

"We're under attack!" Just as one wizard uttered those words, he was frozen into an ice sculpture, forever fixed in a moment of outcry.

Snowstorm swept across the sky, turning the previously mild climate into a bone-chilling cold. Heavy snowflakes began to fall from the sky.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Chris descended amidst the swirling snow, his extraordinary power making him much swifter than an ordinary mage. With a single punch, he shattered the head of a wizard.

The sensation of power coursing through his fist, the satisfaction of obliterating an enemy's skull - it was no different from the feeling of conquering a woman successfully!

"Hahaha! Die, you trash!" After pulverizing a wizard's head with his fist, Chris saw another wizard, thirty meters away, preparing to unleash a curse. Without hesitation, he pulled out an assault rifle.

Rat-tat-tat! The sound of metal clashing filled the air as bullets pierced through the wizard's chest, creating a burst of blood.

The wizard's hideous face expressed an indescribable shock. "Isn't he a mage? Why did he suddenly pull out a machine gun? Damn it, this is beyond my league!"

A traditional duel between mages, suddenly interrupted by an assault rifle - it felt incredibly out of place, devoid of any mage's honor and dignity!

"You stupid bastard! Times have changed, you foolish child. Are you still clinging to tradition?" Chris sneered, removed the safety pin from a grenade, and tossed it in front of the fish-man demon.

BOOM! An explosion resounded as the fish-man demon used its magic shield to withstand the grenade's blast. "Hmph! Petty tricks!"

"SOOP!" Chris teleported directly beside the fish-man demon, delivering a kick that sent the demon stumbling.

Simultaneously, he pulled out a large bottle of sulfuric acid from his backpack and poured it directly on the fish-man demon, regardless of whether it would disfigure it.

This specially processed and enhanced sulfuric acid was corrosive enough to rival the blood of an alien creature.

Hiss!

"Ahhhhhhhhh! You beast! How dare you harm me?! You wretched creature! I will kill you!" The fish-man demon screamed in agony, the corrosive damage taking its toll.

Its sturdy beetle exoskeleton and fish scales helped withstand cuts, stabs, and even elemental magic to some extent. But no matter how calculated it was, the demon never anticipated someone would stoop so low as to use sulfuric acid against it!

Mages were bound by rules. They had to adhere to established practices and lacked the flexibility or capability to adapt. The idea of performing parkour while casting spells sounded great, but their abilities didn't allow for it. They lacked the qualifications.

"Just for that statement, you must die!" Chris grinned wickedly and launched an ice frost spell, enveloping the fish-man demon in an extreme cold. The ice and snow transformed into sharp blades, continuously striking the demon's outer shell.

"You fool, do you think this can kill me? Demons don't die. You trash, despicable ant, wait to meet your demise!"

The fish-man demon desperately tried to break free but found its feet frozen, rendering it immobile. The ice layer kept forming and shattering repeatedly.

Its strength gradually diminished, and although the fish-man demon appeared intelligent, it behaved like a complete imbecile.
