Chapter 913 Of Beam And Ice II
Lee Seng and Cesar sized each other up. They glared at each other as they waited for the other to make the first move.
'In position.' Keng telepathically communicated. He floated off to the side, clutching his stomach. 'Let's make this quick!' Keng blasted Cesar, starting the fight. Lee Seng ran forward, summoning Sun blade into his hand. Cesar grunted as the pressure pushed onto him, phasing himself enough as Lee Seng swung his sword at him, missing.
With a single flick, ice exploded outwards from Cesar's feet. Lee Seng turned, reappearing next to Keng in an instant.
"That's handy." Lee Seng patted Keng.
"He's struggling to get out of the gravity." Keng's hand followed Cesar, watching Cesar struggle to get out of the gravity hold. Lee Seng dropped to the ground, pooling Dark Matter into his feet.
"Gravitum: Celestial Flash." Lee Seng disappeared in an instant, swinging his sword straight for Cesar's head. Sun blade flew straight through Cesar's body. "Tch." Lee Seng swung the sword downwards, destroying the ground all around them. Swords of stars exploded from the ground. Cesar's phantom cloak began to fade, a large sword catching Cesar in the arm.
A large pillar of ice from beneath Cesar's feet, encasing him in ice. Keng swept his hand upwards, pushing down, smashing the pillar. Cesar howled as icicles flew in every direction, temporarily disrupting Keng's hold on him.
Cesar rushed at Lee Seng, swinging the icy sword at him. Lee Seng moved backwards, dodging the attack and raising his sword to retaliate. The two swords collided, going back and forth as their swords connected. An icy blast flew out of Cesar's sword, forcing Lee Seng to move out of the way.
Lee Seng met Cesar's attacks with ranged attacks, quickly mimicking the phantom Deimon's fighting style. Keng fired off gravity blasts, watching as Cesar's accuracy quickly increased, blocking the attacks with the right amount of force.
'He's able to take all of this information in at once?' Lee Seng thought. He jumped out of the horizontal slash, feeling ice explode out of the blade and pierce him.
Keng's attacks picked up speed, forcing Cesar away from his brother. He blasted Lee Seng out of his hold, listening to the blood splatter onto the floor. Lee Seng sucked in a breath while Cesar twirled the icy sword and pointed up at Keng.
Ice flew out of the sword eating the space around him.
"He's trying to keep me out of this." Keng whispered. He blasted the ice with ease, pushing more pressure onto Cesar. Cesar's form shifted, giving off an ethereal look as the temperature dropped.
"Absolute Zero Phantom." Cesar blew out cold smoke. The icy sword grew thicker with frost and ice. It grew larger in size while Cesar's entire form became snow white. The security guard outfit turned white with a frosted Dark Matter crown appearing on his head. Cesar raised his pointed finger up to the sky, releasing a beam of cold energy at Keng.
Keng pushed himself out of the way, feeling ice grow along his left side. 'His Dark Matter Energy is different. It's way more condensed now.' Keng's body ignited with celestial fire as he watched the beam of condensed ice fly upwards. The skies began to grow cloudy as a thick layer of ice grew below Keng.
Keng pulled cosmic energy into his hand, letting it go at the thick layer of ice. He watched as the ice began to crack and reform.
"Wow." Keng whistled. "I guess he's upgraded, again. Will you be fine?" Lee Seng jumped out of the way, feeling ice build onto his body. He hit the ground and rolled onto his feet. Lee Seng moved forward as Cesar released more ranged attacks.
"This is annoying, but it's not the end of the world." Lee Seng replied. "In the meantime, rest. I'm sure an opening will come." Icicles erupted from the ground, moving straight for Lee Seng. "Runeweaver: Fire." Flames ignited into existence, colliding with the icicles.
"You think that will be enough to kill me?" Cesar asked. The icy Deimon glared at him with his icy purple eyes. Snow and ice billowed around him like a cloud of smoke. Cesar pulled the icy sword over his shoulder as a sinister smile appeared. "Let's see if you can keep up with this." Cesar ran at Lee Seng, swinging his sword. Lee Seng raised a barrier, watching Cesar's sword collide. Ice and cold smoke billowed out of the sword.
As ice covered the barrier, Cesar raised his sword and struck again. Lee Seng moved backwards, feeling the ice breathe on him. He cursed under his breath as Cesar's sword crumbled to the ground. Lee Seng's tails darted forward, extending and flying past Cesar. Lee Seng watched his tails instantly freeze.
'Just like I thought.' Lee Seng thought as wisps flew out of his tails. The wisps chattered, eating away at the ice before they froze and fell to the ground, shattering. 'He not only freezes physical objects but Dark Matter, itself.' Cesar swung at the frozen tails, shattering the energy and freeing Lee Seng.
Lee Seng pulled his tails back, turning and slamming through the ice. He needed to give enough space and think about what to do. Cesar rushed after him, breaking the iced barrier. Lee Seng continued forward, glancing behind him. The ice advanced towards Lee Seng, nipping at him. Lee Seng jumped into the air, watching as the ice followed after him.
'Do you think you can fight? I'll need you for this next part.' Lee Seng told Keng.
'Huh? I thought you said you got it?' Keng replied. Lee Seng bobbed and weaved through the air, making sure not to strike the ice. He weaved through the air, looking at Cesar to see if he understood what he was doing.
'I do, but I just need a jump scare. Think you can do it?'
'Ah, fine. What do I need to do?'
'Just spook him into phasing.'
"You'll never be able to get out of this! This ice is my strongest ice!" Cesar shouted. He launched himself up into the air and leapt for Lee Seng. Lee Seng glanced behind him and smiled.
"Who said anything about getting out?" Lee Seng asked. "I'm not the one who's trapped in here with you… You're trapped in here with us." Keng flew out of Lee Seng's body, hand out. Gravity flew out of Keng's hand, pushing Cesar backwards. Cesar gritted his teeth, phasing as he flew into an ice pillar.
Lee Seng continued to draw the ice, linking it in odd spots. He spun through the air, flying overhead of Cesar.
"Now!" Lee Seng shouted. Cesar's eyes widened as the pressure grew. Keng pushed downward with all of his might, holding the phased Cesar in place as Lee Seng dropped straight to Cesar. "Solarium: Ever-burning Devourer!" Lee Seng's blade ignited, flying straight through Cesar and hitting the ground. Golden flames ignited, pushing upwards past Lee Seng. Wisps shuddered, filling the space with their noise as the flames quickly ate the ice.
[Notice: Mutant Manipulator is rolling!]
[Mutant Manipulator has disabled Phasing.]
The flames danced through Lee Seng without issue, eating away at everything in its wake. He watched Cesar's eyes grow wide as his entire body unphased.
'What's happening?' Cesar managed to think before the flames ate him. He screamed, flames pushing themselves down his throat.
'I used holy flames that would eat any cold Dark Matter.' Lee Seng thought. He pulled the sword upwards, hitting Cesar's crotch and pulling the weapon towards him. He raised the sword and watched Cesar throw himself onto the ground in a last ditch effort to stop the burning.
"AHH!" Cesar screamed. Lee Seng held the sword over his head and swung downwards at Cesar's waist, cutting it in half. Keng lifted his arm and turned away as the flames danced around him.
'He managed to alter the flames and use Solarium's fire-based spells to his advantage.' Keng thought. 'He may not have a quick enough head to run runes in his head, but he can quickly do this?'
A beam of ice flew out of Cesar, freezing LEe Seng and the flames. He roared in pain as the fires didn't die, but started to multiply. The Sun blade shone brightly, destroying the ice. Lee Seng lifted the sword and plunged it into Cesar's heart, watching Cesar's last ditch effort suddenly stop.
Have I… really been bested…?' Cesar gasped. He lifted his shaky hand and grabbed the Sun blade. He squeezed his hand onto the blade, attempting to pull it off as it burned him.
"No…" Cesar softly spoke. "It can't—" Lee Seng twisted the blade and watched the ice fade away. The flames slowly dissipated, leaving a tired Lee Seng and semi-injured Keng.
"Oh my god." Lee Seng dropped to his knees. HE clutched his chest. The Negative had pushed itself onto his chest. He gasped for air as Keng descended to his brother.
"You okay?" Keng asked, grabbing Lee Seng as his legs buckled underneath him. He carefully set Lee Seng down onto the ground and knelt, ignoring the pain in his stomach. Lee Seng slowly nodded, letting Keng carefully study him.
"L-let's rest." Lee Seng gasped. "Just for a little bit."
"Sure." Keng nodded. "For a moment." Lee Seng's eyes rolled back and his body drifted backwards. Keng yelped as he barely caught Lee Seng's head between his hand and the ground.
