Chapter 956 Finding Cargo Crew (4)

"Over here." Ritsuka motioned, leading the large crowd towards their things. Dead bodies of Deimons scattered about as Lee Seng turned. He folded his arms together and watched as Cargo Crew 4 moved past him.

"Where should we head to afterwards?" Evan asked Lee Seng and Ritsuka.

"Nero insists on trying to find the cargo shipment." Lee Seng answered. "Plus, we've got Calis to find."

"You'd think we would've ran into him by now, guessing how low security all this is." Ritsuka motioned. "I wonder why they kept low security if the cargo crew was here." The three men turned and watched the crew members slowly pour out.

"We'll probably find out soon." Lee Seng sighed. "I have a feeling we weren't the priority…"

"Squad Leader, are you sure this is a good idea?" A small group was surrounding the squadron leader in the item room. A young man looked distressed about the situation. He pointed outside and continued talking. "Are we really going to believe he'll help us? What if he conjured those 'allies' of his? What if this is all a ruse?"

"There wasn't much security. Why would they hang us and tell us we're going to be sent to some Queen? Aren't we 'important' then?" Another group member asked. Nero brushed his chin and nodded. His team members were right to worry.

'The opinion on Lee Seng is widely different.' Nero thought to himself. 'Especially after the incident, things got way more complicated with the news surrounding his… appearance.'

"Let's not do anything too hasty as of yet." Nero told the group. "If they aren't on our side, we'll backstab them, but… Let's keep an eye on them, alright?"He looked at the group for an answer and they all slowly nodded. The rest of the group exited, drawing the trio's attention. "Alright, looks like we're good to go."

"Any ideas where the cargo could be?" A crew member asked. The members turned to the trio group. Lee Seng turned to his friends, wondering if they knew anything. Evan pointed to the right.

"We haven't gone that way yet." Evan answered. "Maybe that'll get us out."

"Alright." Nero nodded, turning his attention to his group. "Let's get going then."

The tunnels were tight with a group of twelve people. They were barely three-man wide. Lee Seng led the way with Evan and Ritsuka behind him. Nero and his crew hung in the back, quietly following. Lee Seng scribbled a rune into his arm and moved his hand over it.

'Copy.' Lee Seng felt the rune pull away as he turned and gave Ritsuka and Evan a playful pat.

"Are you sure we're going the right way? What if we aren't?" Lee Seng asked Evan and Ritsuka with a genuine smile. He turned back and slashed the rune, activating the telepathy rune.

'This should be easier for us to communicate.' Lee Seng telepathically told the others.

'Alrighty.' Ritsuka responded. The tunnels split into six different areas. Lee Seng looked at each one as the crew members filled the space.

"Which way do we go…?" Nero asked.

"We should go this way." Elizabeth pointed down the second tunnel from the left.

"I think we should go this way." A crew member pointed down the fourth tunnel from the left.

"Where should we go? Do you get anything?" Evan whispered. Lee Seng didn't feel anything in any of the tunnels. He looked at the tunnel on the left end. He focused on it, slowly turning.

"Over there?" Ritsuka asked. A strange energy crept forward. Lee Seng tilted his head and moved through the crew members.

"I think we should go— hey, what the hell…?" A crew member asked as Lee Seng brushed past them. "What's his problem? He's exactly like how I thought he'd be."

"Hey, buddy. Just because you're some IT boy, doesn't mean you get to walk over us like—" The blonde crew member reached up to grab Lee Seng, when Lee Seng dashed forward.

"Move!" Lee Seng shouted. Flames billowed out of his left hand as he reached outwards, moving through people and grabbing the air.

"What is he doing?!?" One crew member asked.

"He's crazy!" Another crew member shouted.

"Are they turning on us?!?" Another crew member asked. They turned, readying to attack when a meatball with tentacles appeared. A large eye shook as a loud screech erupted from its non-existent mouth.

"What the hell is that?" Elizabeth asked. Lee Seng squeezed the eyeball monster, roasting it into a black crisp.

"Are you really here?!?" Lee Seng shouted, waving the burnt meatball monster around. "I guess that means I'm coming for you!" He slammed the meatball monster into bits against the wall and rushed off.

"Lee!" Evan shouted running after. Ritsuka followed, leaving the crew members in confusion.

"What… just happened?" Elizabeth asked. "I thought they were going to betray us, but they… just left us like that? What should we do, sir?"

"Leave them. Find the cargo." Nero motioned. "Let's go."

Lee Seng followed the tunnel, tracing the wall as he went. The sinister energy grew and with it, Calis's energy barely registered.

'I know he's here!' Lee Seng thought.

'Who?!?' Ritsuka asked.

'That Eyes man! Calis is with him!'

'He's with him?!?' Evan gasped. 'We shouldn't go then! It's a trap!' Discordant chimes pinged everywhere around Lee Seng. He had walked straight into a trap, but that didn't matter to him. Lee Seng's hands lit on fire. Lee Seng slashed with two fingers, twirling in through the air.

Magical fire circles appeared, taking all of the hits while Lee Seng zoomed forward. The sinister energy grew all around him, revealing the meatball eyeballs. Lee Seng finger gun shot two eyeballs while the rest shot their tentacles straight for him.

The meatball tentacles froze in place and a dark shadow beam flew out. Evan and Ritsuka jumped through the flames, watching as more meatball eyeballs showed up. Lee Seng landed, turning and shooting three more fireballs out of his fingers. Evan froze four more eyeballs, summoning his shield and tossing it. The shield bounced off the first eyeball, ricocheting to the next eyeball and killing the four quickly.

Ritsuka dashed from monster to monster, leaving a dark trail behind him. He landed on the ground and turned, watching as more eyeballs began to fill the space.

"Hmmm, I thought I'd have to find you myself…" eyes spoke from thin air. The eyeballs slammed together, falling to the ground into a mini meat mountain. "But it's my lucky day! You've shown up in front of me!" The mini meat mountain squashed together and Eyes came out of it with a grin.

Failed One 004 formed with his arms wrapped around his chest. Many eyes stared at the  frowning trios. Lee Seng's hands flexed, letting the flames dance between them while Eyes sighed.

"Such a sad sight… I guess you came here because you wanted to end things but you won't be able to sadly… I got a job to do and these poor Deimons aren't doing anything!" Eyes lifted his hand and released a freezing pulse. Lee Seng, Ritsuka and Evan froze in place as Eyes flashed forward, separating the three from each other and reaching for Lee Seng's neck.

Lee Seng slammed into the wall. Rocks spilled as Eyes' grip tightened. He let out a smile as his other eyes kept watch of Evan and Ritsuka.

"You thought you could kill me?" Eyes asked Lee Seng. "You aren't even close—" Flames rushed out of Lee Seng's body, engulfing Eyes. "W-wh— AHH!" Eyes pulled away, patting himself as the flames ate him. The freezing pulse dissipated, freeing the trio from Eyes' grasp.

'Get him!' Lee Seng shouted. The trio ran forward, readying timing their attack to sync up with each other. Diminished Sun swelled into Lee Seng's hand, igniting as he slammed his foot and swung straight for Eyes' head.

"Argh!" The trio shouted in unison as their weapons moved straight for the kill. Eyes screamed, shaking all of his eyes on his body. The trio froze, mere inches away from Eyes. The three watched all of the eyes lit up, pushing them backwards. The three slammed into the wall, freezing in place.

"You have new tricks…" Eyes spoke with large amounts of breath. He cracked a smile as he slowly raised his head to look at Lee Seng. "But it didn't do much to me!" Eyes rushed forward, extending his arm out for Lee Seng. Eyes' hand wrapped around Lee Seng, squeezing down as the wall exploded behind Lee Seng. He pulled Lee Seng towards him and waited for Lee Seng's neck to snap.

"You will die here!" Eyes shouted. He squeezed harder but felt his hand unable to squeeze anymore. Lee Seng's jaw was clenched. "You anticipated this? You're crazy to anticipate it!" Eyes threw Lee Seng behind him and lifted his hand up to Lee Seng. "Many Eye Beam!" Tiny beams fired out of Eyes' body, arcing straight for Lee Seng. "Die, again, you husk!"
