Chaplain!

Chapter 119 Street Cleaners

The next morning, when George Johnson got out of bed, he felt even more furious!

He already took Emilia as his fiance, but yesterday, when they were in the auditorium, she was publicly showing affection for Oliver Walker!

If he married her, wouldn't he be cheated on by that woman?!

But….his heart was in a mess!

He really liked Emilia. He liked her so much that he was about to go insane.

So, he made up his mind and screamed, "Mike White, gather a few of them and follow me to Pearl Street!"

He had to teach Emilia a lesson!

He was going to stir up trouble for that old woman!

Mary Grimm had been cleaning the streets in Pearl Street, and it wasn't a secret.

Every morning, before the sky turned bright, she would ride her bicycle along with her broom and sweep the floor in order to earn a few extra pennies.

Emilia wanted Olivia to take a few days off from school so that she could rest, but Olivia insisted on attending, and Emilia had no other choice but to allow her.

As for Emilia, she picked up three of the medals that were on the table.

She wanted to pay a visit to the Military Department in Colorado to see if there was information on Oliver Walker in the army.

The entire family was busy with their own errands!

Oliver Walker, who had nothing to do and was not welcomed in the house, had trouble fitting in.

His mother-in-law refused to acknowledge his existence, and his wife wasn't speaking to him as well.

The atmosphere at home was awkward!

Then, he pulled out his phone to make a call. Since he was back home, he had to do something meaningful, and he didn't want his mother-in-law to be so tired from work.

In the entirety of Colorado, he could only call Leon Williams since this was the only man he knew.

At the same time, when Leon Williams received the call, he was stunned at first. Then, he quickly stood up from his chair with excitement, "Mr. Walker, what can I help you with?"

He was feeling extremely nervous!

He started wondering whether he did something wrong?!

Oliver Walker asked, "You're well connected here in Colorado. You should know which street my mother-in-law is cleaning now?"

Leon Williams was caught off guard, but he quickly asked, "You mean?"

He didn't want to assume anything, so he didn't continue saying much.

He might be digging his own grave if he said the wrong thing!

Oliver Walker continued speaking in a calm manner as if this was nothing surprising, "Get me a set of the janitor's uniform. I'm going to clean the street with her!"

Leon Williams was shocked!

Initially, he thought that Oliver Walker wanted to put on an extravagant gesture to welcome his mother-in-law. He didn't think that Oliver Walker wanted to clean the street. It was...

Totally absurd!

Totally unexpected!

This man made it impossible for anyone to know what was going on inside his head.

Seeing how the other party remained quiet, Oliver Walker frowned, "Would this be something very difficult for you?"

Leon Williams asked in return, "Mr. Walker, it isn't something difficult but…..are you serious about it?"

What Leon Williams had seen so far was just the tip of the iceberg.

But, he was already amazed by this man's existence!

Then, this man was telling him that he was to clean the streets?!

This...

Oliver Walker answered, "Of course, I'm being serious!"

In fact, he knew what Leon Williams was worried about.

However, he had his own reasons for doing so.

No matter if it was his wife or mother-in-law, none of them trusted him.

If he did anything that was difficult for them to understand, it might only make the situation worse. It would be better for him to do something simple so that he could show his determination to his mother-in-law.

Perhaps to the others, he was someone important and respectful.

But…..was there anyone who knew that he only wanted to be a normal man?

A simple man who can be accepted by his wife and mother-in-law!

"It's not…..difficult!"

Leon Williams gulped before answering, "I'll…..I'll get it done….."

Although he hadn't known Oliver Walker for a long time, it wasn't hard for him to notice that this man was someone down-to-earth after the previous incidents.

He never liked putting on an extravagant entrance like the warriors who returned from battle. He didn't care about what others thought of him and would only do what he liked.

As for such a request, he definitely had to do as told, and most importantly, he wasn't allowed to get in the way of it!
