Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 1522 Simple Recruitment~ (2)

Chapter 1522  Simple Recruitment~ (2)

As he had managed to successfully recruit the Zhang Clan to join the Star Shattering Sect and had already planned on how to integrate them into the sect, Xuan Hao was suddenly hit by the realization that it might not be the best idea for him to have a large and relatively strong faction like the Zhang Clan join the Star Shattering Sect.

Not only did it create the possibility for factions and power struggles to start appearing inside of the sect, but it might also result in the current image of the Star Shattering Sect as an ancient hidden sect disappearing when they saw the strength of the current sect elders.

In short, having the Zhang Clan join the Star Shattering Sect could be considered selling the future of the sect to complete his main sect quest a little faster.

With that in mind, he had already voiced that the Zhang Clan would be handling things outside of the sect and the only ones from the Zhang Clan that would truly enter the main sect would be their younger generation, which could be considered acceptable, as they would have no way to properly assess the strength of the Star Shattering Sect with their low cultivation base.

On the other hand, because of their low cultivation base, it might end up with them believing that the Star Shattering Sect was far stronger than it actually was, as the current younger generation of the Star Shattering Sect was nothing to scoff at, with no lack of Core Formation Realm and Nascent Soul Realm disciples. Even having his own disciples at the Domain Lord Realm there to give the image of a much more powerful sect.

Of course, there was also the excellent cultivation environment on the Shattered Star Peaks and the information on cultivation that should far surpass the Zhang Clan itself, as it seemed like knowledge of the Dao Seed Realm, Dao Domain Lord Realm and Profound Immortal Realm wasn't something that was normally available across the continent.

In another way, the sect could also make use of its information on the Dao Seed Realm and Profound Immortal Realm to keep the elders of the Zhang Clan from growing suspicious in the future as they were not allowed entry into the main sect.

As long as the Star Shattering Sect could provide cultivation resources and help them with insights into higher cultivation realms, it should not be a problem for the Zhang Clan Ancestor and the elders of his clan to remain outside of the main sect and help manage the territory of the sect for a few years until the elders in the sect became strong enough to the point where them entering the main sect wouldn't make any difference.

But… Dealing with the Zhang Clan and ensuring that it wouldn't end up causing any future problems for the Star Shattering Sect was one thing. Adding the Qing Clan to the mix would be a completely different matter altogether…

Thinking about it, Xuan Hao realized that the current Star Shattering Sect would not be able to take another large power like the Qing Clan under its wing. In a sense, even taking on the Zhang Clan was a bit too much and would be stretching the current Star Shattering Sect to its limits.

Not so much because the sect was lacking the resources to provide for the Zhang Clan, but more so because there was a lack of higher level cultivators among the elders of the Star Shattering Sect. Resulting in a limited number of people who could interact with the elders of the Zhang Clan without giving away the fact that the current Star Shattering Sect was far weaker than what they might be thinking.

Because of this, Xuan Hao could only reluctantly give up on adding the Qing Clan to the Star Shattering Sect as well.

From the looks of things, he would most likely have to focus on recruiting wandering cultivators in the future, as the problems they might end up causing for the sect would be far more manageable compared to absorbing an entire clan.

"With that in mind, I should take a look and see if there is any wandering cultivators in the Soul Ascension Realm currently inside of the city before I take my leave." Muttering this to himself as he reluctantly glanced in the direction of the Qing Clan, Xuan Hao closed his eyes for a brief moment as his divine sense spread out around him and began to thoroughly search through the entire city.

Of course, given that he didn't bother trying to hide his divine sense, it was almost immediately discovered by the two other Dao Seed Realm cultivators in the city.

Unfortunately for them, the moment they made contact with his divine sense to try and figure out who it was that was daring enough to directly sweep through the entire city and essentially lay bare any secrets they might have hidden inside of their estates, they were met with the reality of trying to resist a divine sense that was in no way weaker than someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm-

"Aaah!? C-Celestial Immortal Relam!?"

"Nooo…!"

And soon enough the despairing screams of the ancestor of both the Qing and Xue Clan's painful and surprised voices echoed throughout the city, as their divine sense was directly crushed the moment they tried to resist his divine sense.

The only lucky thing for them was that the damage to their divine sense wouldn't be permanent and could be recovered in a few years.

If Xuan Hao had been someone different, he might have just directly killed them for daring to try and fight him. Especially so considering that the strength of his divine sense was rather obvious if those two hadn't acted so recklessly when trying to block it from invading their estates…

Then again, all of this could have been avoided, but Xuan Hao was also full intend on showing his strength to the Zhang Clan Ancestor before he left so he wouldn't try anything funny. At the same time also subtly confirming whatever thoughts he might have had about him being someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm.

After all, on the current continent, the only ones capable of easily suppressing and injuring someone in the Dao Seed Realm like he had just done was someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm…

Ignoring the chaos that started to sweep through the city as what had just happened started to set in, Xuan Hao went over the information he had managed to gather from using his divine sense to directly scan the entire city just now.

First of all, both the Xue and Qing Clan were far stronger than he had first expected, as they not only had close to double the number of Soul Ascension Realm cultivators that the Zhang Clan had, but their Dao Seed Realm cultivators were also stronger than the Zhang Clan Ancestor, both of them having reached the Peak of the Earth Immortal Realm, the Half Bloom Stage or what could be considered the Middle Stage of the Dao Seed Realm.

In no way were they weak, but at the same time, Xuan Hao also understood that neither of the two could be absorbed by the current Star Shattering Sect, as they were too strong for the sect to fully absorb and manage.

Even the Zhang Clan is too much, but it could be managed by only absorbing the younger generation and training them for now, while the elders of the Zhang Clan would be put in charge of the sect's external territory. Avoiding them becoming aware of the current strength of the sect's elders.

Shaking his head as he thought about this, Xuan Hao instead focused his attention on the rest of the cultivators currently present in the city, not part of any of the three clans.

First of all, the Explorer Union branch in the city did have Soul Ascension Realm cultivators present guarding it, but the wandering cultivators throughout the city were at most in the Domain Lord Realm, with the strongest among them being someone at the Ninth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm that looked like he was about to prepare for his first tribulation.

Going after someone close to reaching the Soul Ascension Realm could be considered an option, but after inspecting that cultivator more closely and finding out that he had some rather troublesome hobbies, Xuan Hao quickly gave up on recruiting him to join the sect.

From the looks of things, outside of the Zhang Clan, there wasn't really anyone else that was qualified for him to step forward and recruit them to join the sect- n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Whoosh~!

So, with everything sorted regarding the Zhang Clan and their slow migration to the territory of the Star Shattering Sect over the next few years, Xuan Hao left the city and began moving deeper into the Eastern Central Region. Intending to go to some of the more populated parts of the regions where wandering cultivators tended to gather in search of opportunities or precious cultivation resources.
