Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox

Chapter 170 – What it means to have Aiko in your team…

Chapter 170 – What it means to have Aiko in your team…

Aiko was sitting on Lady Liu's lap and munching on meat.

Meanwhile, Chen Shi was inspecting the teeth once again, since they didn't poison the air. He didn’t have to worry that it would poison Lady Liu, but even during the inspection, he didn't forget to glare at Aiko.

The Great Roc Mother felt both amused and envious.

Amused because watching the Inscription Saint trying to put up a fight against Aiko and still lose was funny, but envious since Aiko occupied one of the best spots, Lady Liu's lap.

Aiko naturally ignored them, since she had a piece of meat, she didn't really care about their thoughts.

It will still take some time before everyone arrives, some were already late, which was expected. Not everyone took this really seriously and some were just petty jackasses that loved to ruin everything.

Aiko was slightly upset since she would have taken the opportunity to explore the city if she knew that everyone would be so late...

But she couldn't leave now, since they could arrive at any moment and she would miss the main Palace. She didn't want to risk losing this opportunity and she definitely didn't want to come here later. She disliked Humans more and more, which didn't help their cause.

Aiko was not the only one who had a high distaste for Humans, some even hated them.

Human... Stupid creatures that are favoured by the Heavenly Dao, making it easier for them to breakthrough each stages. Meanwhile, the Beasts had to struggle during each and every breakthrough, most dying in the process, but those that survived would be enslaved by the Human's Enslaving Technique. Not only would they lose all their freedom, unable to do anything without their master telling them, but they would also lose the ability to advance in Cultivation.

In short, humans are not only gifted a golden spoon from birth but also possessed the techniques and nature to permanently ruin the life of a beast...

This was the biggest no-no in Cultivation World. Ruining someone's chances to cultivate.

Of course, this no-no applied only to Humans and nobody cared about Beasts, it was fine to ruin their chances when they painstakingly fought to their bitter ends just to ascend to the Peak of this World.

...

"Finally!" Aiko slapped the table. "Took them fucking long enough!" She snorted.

The others didn't say anything, but they shared Aiko's sentiment since they had to spend 5 more days here.

It was painful and boring, not to mention there were still assassins coming after them.

Well, those parts were not boring for Aiko, since she got to play with them.

One time she tied their shoelaces together so they would trip. Another time she would slam their toes with a wooden stick so they would be jumping around.

These were fun for Aiko, but then she would receive judgemental looks from everyone. She was upset that they didn't share her sentiment of being bored.

Chen Shi was all over Lady Liu, the same was for the Great Roc Mother.

Aiko was pushed aside and had to find her own fun, but she couldn't understand the Blood Fox's and the Umbra Fox's games, nor did she want to play Go with them, since she would be losing miserably.

This was the unfortunate situation Aiko was in, she had to find her own fun, but then those baddies would judge her for it!

Aiko cried out in her mind since this situation was finally over! But her frustration ran deep and she would unbottle herself soon...

...

They walked from the side palace to the main Palace. The paths were wide, yet the floating lamps illuminated their path.

"Why the fuck are we going in the night." Aiko cursed openly. Sure, the scenery was amazing, but Lady Liu was supposed to sleep! 'Inconsiderate bastards!' Aiko cursed in her mind again, since she received a sharp look from Lady Liu and could not voice herself openly any more.

"It can't be helped, the beauty of this place is revealed during the night and each and every Monarch would display their wealth in the most glorious way." Chen Shi was holding himself back, but he unfortunately shared the same sentiment as Aiko.

When they first received the invitation, it was supposed to be during the day, but those bastards changed it!

"It's fine, we can always leave." Lady Liu smiled gently, but that smile felt sinister.

Chen Shi gulped, he had a bad feeling, while Aiko gave her thumbs up.

"What do I smell here..." A sensual voice drifted into the group's ears. "A group of vixens and a stupid bird."

There was a half-snake lady looking at them from high above the stairs. She had green hair and a flat-chested body. She was quite thin, but her face was attractive enough that you would forget that obvious washing board. Aiko felt some sense of kinship with her, if she didn't say something stupid like that.

Aiko would have none of that!

The group's faces distorted, but before they could do anything, there was another voice...

*Sniff Sniff*

"What do I smell..." Aiko sniffed gently.

The group choked, but for the first time, they didn't try to stop Aiko.

The other Beasts near the snake lady took slight interest in this daring Fox, but they already knew how it would end.

"It doesn't smell bad." Aiko nodded slowly. "This Snake Soup smells delicious, but we should also create some snake heart liquor to go along with it." Aiko nodded gently, appraising the snake lady like a piece of juicy meat ready for roast.

The Beast choked up, since this development was completely different to what they expected and they appraised the little Fox again, but before they could finish that appraisal, that little daring Fox continued.

"Uh, but..." Aiko hesitated. "I heard that old meat tastes bad." Aiko sniffed again.

"Ugh, this meat is even improperly marinated, it smelled good at first, but now it just smells like badly preserved cologne." Aiko continued firing away with her mouth.

"Now that I look at her, even the dress-ing is poorly made. One would think that this thing was created for 'grave robbers'." Aiko made a repulsed expression.

The snake lady was completely red in the face from rage and her face distorted into that of an ugly Beast.

"Ew!" Aiko recoiled. "It's not even old, it's already ancient and withered meat!" Aiko cried out that her delicious meat turned into a withered, spoiled mess.

The snake lady's reason snapped and she attacked them.

The space distorted and blocked that attack, but it didn't end there.

The Great Roc Mother waved her hand and that snake lady was injured by the distortion of space, coughing up a mouthful of blood.

"Go go, get them Puppies!" Aiko was cheering for the Great Roc Mother's breasts.

"I'm not a dog!" The Great Roc Mother retorted like she was hurt.

"Your titties disagree! Now go get them and crush them!" Aiko cheered on.

Her group gulped, it was obvious Aiko was frustrated by the wait and she was firing in all directions indiscriminately to vent out her bottled up anger.

"Oi! Horny nerd! What are you waiting for?! Go get 'em too!" Aiko stared at the Inscription Saint.

"I don't know what's nerd, but stop insulting me!" He glared back, but he still formed a barrier around Lady Liu and formed a few Runes.

The Beasts shivered, from both, their fighting prowess and sharp mouth.

The Runes were fired, as well as the distortion of space.

But a huge shell formed around the snake lady, blocking that strike.

"Enough, stop fighting." A giant turtle broke apart their spells.

"Oh! A turtle." Aiko subconsciously salivated and the giant turtle subconsciously shivered.

"I heard that turtle meat is tender no matter the age..." Aiko narrowed her eyes. "But it's apparently only on the inside of the shell." She browsed his shell carefully.

She tiptoed towards the Inscription Nerd. "Say, can we crack the shell, I'm hungry." She pulled on his long sleeve with the cutesy act.

"That won't work on me." He snorted. "But now that you mentioned it, I also wonder how turtles taste..." He narrowed his eyes.

"In that case, you can count on me!" The Great Roc Mother 'punched' her chest, making it jiggle in all directions. "I specialise in cracking hard things!" She laughed happily.

A booming laughter crashed from inside the building. "Now that's a lively council!" A large lion came from inside.

He looked over the groups, but then paused.

Aiko pointed at him. "Ah! It's you!"

He was happy that that little Foxie remembered him.

"It's the member of that bully group!" Aiko finished.

He choked up. "I didn't bully you, little Fox!" He defended himself.

"But you also didn't try to stop them!" Aiko retorted back. "By the way, how is Buddy doing?"

"Because they are my comrades and I knew they wouldn't hurt you!" He retorted her retort. "He is doing fine, but is currently too busy." He sighed.

Aiko nodded. "And what brings you here?"

"I'm the overseer. So that nobody gets hurt." He shrugged.

Aiko stared towards the snake lady and the snake lady flinched.

He also looked towards her. "I saw nothing." He shrugged.

The turtle glared at him.

"What, you spineless bastard?!" The Lion with the snake tail glared at him. "Just because you are her Dao companion, you can't tell right from wrong?! Is she squeezing you so hard that your brain regressed to that of an Animal's?!" He disdainfully spat at him.

"Oh, but I heard that brains are soft, so maybe because his brain turned into mush it would be more delicious?" Aiko tilted her head, pouring more oil into the fire.

"You..." The Lion shook his head. "You only think about meat…"

The turtle didn't get a chance to retort, since it was impossible to get a word in.

"What can I do?" Aiko shrugged. "Meat is justice, there are so many kinds of meat that you will never get tired of it." Aiko salivated slightly. "Anyway!"

Aiko continued the banter, unaware that the Emperor was overseeing this entire thing.

"What kind of bastard invites the council members during the nigh- Ohhhhhh..." Aiko snickered. "My apologies, but I'm not old enough to enjoy those kinds of activities, so we will take our leave first."

*Pfft*

Her group couldn't hold in their laughter, considering Aiko's inclination to disturb people at the wrong time.

Likewise, the Emperor spat his tea, he choked badly from the shock he just received.

He thought he heard incorrectly, but even his servants didn't dare to repeat those words.

He slammed his fist on the table.

"It's a beautiful night, why can't we enjoy it and do some work while at it?" The Emperor's voice drifted from inside, but Aiko was unaware of who he was.

She snorted. "It's fine that you have a kink for Beasts, but exclude us, alright?" Aiko shook her head.

The Emperor choked again with a few veins forming on his forehead, but calmed down his temper, since she was part of the Inscription Saint’s group. He absolutely can't anger them!

"That was never my intention to begin with." He was chanting the Buddhist sutra to calm himself, but he was not ready for that little Fox's next words.

"And what kind of idiot would invite someone over during the night and not expect something like that to happen?!" Aiko yelled. "Seriously! You perverts need to get a room and get on with it already! Don't taint us normal-" Aiko looked back at the Inscription Saint and the Great Roc Mother. "Somewhat normal group of individuals!"

"That was uncalled for!" The Inscription Saint glared at Aiko.

"Sue me, bitch! And don't forget to lock the door!" Aiko spat at him.

He choked up. Someone really needs to stop her mouth now or she might cause irreparable trouble...
