[Vol.4] Quest 326.5- The Morning After

The next morning.

"…" Ryuu opens her eyes to find Cirrus in bed with her. She gently gets on top of him, still under the covers.

‘You do have a lovely face when you sleep.’ She thought to herself, looking at him as he slept. ‘He is a rather heavy sleeper.’ Even with her weight on him, he still slept comfortably.

She smiles as she cuddles in closer and once again hears his heartbeat.

"I love you." She said it softly, letting his scent stain and cling to her snow-white skin.

His arms move and wrap around her.

"?" She was surprised. She looked at him, but his eyes were still closed. His heartbeat increased slightly.

"Hm… I… love you, too." He said it in a muttering tone.

"Fufu." She smiled warmly, knowing that even in sleep, he tries to comfort her. "A little longer." She kissed his lightly scarred chest and closed her eyes.

The two slept a little bit longer.

An hour or so later, Cirrus woke up.

"Hmm..." He opens his eyes to find Ryuu sleeping on his chest.

He found the sight cute, ephemeral, and a bit prideful that he could see this calm and gentle look on her.

He also found that his arms were wrapped around her.

‘I guess I did it subconsciously.’ It wasn’t the first time Cirrus had done this. He would always have someone or something in his arms to help him sleep. 'She is very cute when she sleeps like Ai.'

"Ryuu." He said it softly, gently tapping her back.

"Hmm…" She slowly wakes up rolling off his chest to his side and looks at him. "Good morning." She smiles with a rosy blush, radiating a positive air. "Is it time?"

Seeing her under the morning light, Cirrus couldn’t and wouldn’t just let her slip through his fingers. He has to put a ring on that finger.

"Yeah, it's morning."

"Hm. Can we stay like this a bit longer?" She said it in a soft, sultry voice as she rests her head on her arms. "I... want this moment to last a bit longer."

Cirrus was not one to deny the length of this moment. He enjoyed basking in the afterglow of a good night. He would always do this with his wives and simply comforting one another stroking ones hair or skin.

"Sure." He leaned his head back on the pillow and closed his eyes. "You are more upfront what you want now." He pointed out.

"Well..." She gets closer to him, close enough to feel his body heat on her skin and soak deep in. "I want to spend time with you before I have to share you with the others."

"You know we have a schedule right?"

"Is that why I see you with one of them a day?"

"Yup. Say do you plan on letting your hair grow out?"

"Hmm..." She gives it some thought. "Do you like long hair?"

"I have no preference about that, I just thought you look good with how you have it." He reaches over and gently combs through her golden hair through his fingers.

"Then I guess I don't have plans on letting it grow out anytime soon."

The two spent more time with one another. They do some light banter and conversation.

30 minutes later.

"Did you ever think we would reach this point?" Cirrus asked Ryuu while she was still in bed close to him.

Ryuu has her head on his chest; both are still naked under the sheets.

"No," She lightly shakes her head. "I wouldn’t have fathomed I would be with another, but..." She moved on top of him, pressing her naked body onto his and fully soaking in his body heat. "I am happy I could share this with the one I can touch so softly and roughly." She moved her hands and wrapped them around his head.

"Oh? I feel extremely honored then." He then intentionally wraps his arms around her waist.

"Do you… wanna go again?" she said, flustered.

"I am, but before that." He sits up, and she lands on his lap, rubbing against his member. "I have an exchange."

"An exchange?"

"Yes, that embarrassing necklace for this—" Cirrus then holds in his hands another small box. He opens it to reveal a matching pair of sky-blue and emerald rings. They were similar in appearance to Cirrus’s other rings, which match the bride's eyes, with the sole exception being Artemis, whose eyes were already green. "I say it’s a good deal. What do you say?"

"…" Ryuu picks up one ring and holds it up. The light hits it and shimmers. A smile streaks across her face as she slowly puts it on. "You are really a cunning man, Cirrus."

"I’m glad you like it."

"Say, where did you pull that out from?" Ryuu looked around him.

"Well, from my shadow." He reached under the covers and pulled out a glass bottle of water.

He opens it and takes a drink.

"You can store things in your shadow? I thought only Hecton and Fafnir were the only things in your shadow."

"Naw."

"Huh… That explains a lot."

"You want some?" He hands her the bottle of water. "We can go another round before noon if you want."

Ryuu takes the bottle and drinks some of the water.

"Ah~," She hands it back to him. "Are you sure you don’t have any other business?"

Cirrus takes another drink before sealing it.

"I do, but I can make it there on time."

"I think you're selling yourself short. You kept at it well into the night." She makes another smirk.

"Well, aren’t you confident after your first night?"

"Why shouldn’t I be? I am in the arms of the one I love?" She smiled lightly as she leaned forward and kissed his lips.

At noon, Ryuu returns to the Hostess of Fertility.

"So! So! How did it go?" said all the employees of the pub gathered around Ryuu.

"I was right on the money, right?" Syr said, looking at Ryuu intensely.

"Yes…" Ryuu lifted her finger to show the ring.

"Kyaaaa!!!!"

The whole pub erupted in cheering.

"Say Ryuu!" Syr grabbed her hand. "How about we do a double wedding!"

"…Eh?"

"Eh!?!?!?!?!?"

Hestia Familia's home.

"Achoo!" Bell sneezed.

"Are you getting a cold?" said Welf.

"I don’t feel sick."

"Then someone must be talking about you." Said Haruhime.

"Hmm…"

‘It could be Freya. She said she planned something special for today.’

Moonlight Tower, Cirrus returned and resumed his work in his office.

"Achoo! Oh man, who’s talking about me?" Cirrus touches his forehead.

"How was the date?" Malion said by his side as he works. "Did she claim a space in your heart?"

"It went well," Cirrus said, working on some papers. "And… Yes. She did."

"Hmm… How wonderful. Seeing an elf break from their upbringing and embrace one who isn’t of their kind is a joyous day."

"I never asked, but did you and Ryuu have a similar upbringing?"

"All elves were raised similarly to never let impure things touch us." She walked behind him, wrapped her hands around his neck, and rested her head against his.

"So, when did you break from your upbringing?"

"Mmm… I would say, when I touched a man’s body, to get better at painting men."

"Interesting. Was that why you're feeling up my back?"

"I love your back; the muscles are just perfect." She leaned into his ear. "Besides, you also like backs and even midriffs, hips, and thighs." She said it in a sultry, seductive voice.

"…Haa… Fuck. What do you want?"

"I want to make a painting while we have sex. Using our bodies as the paintbrush for our date."

"Tomorrow."

"Fine by me! But Art will join us, so no more sex until tomorrow’s date." She unwrapped her hands and walked with a sway to her hips. "I’ll get everything ready for tomorrow!"

She walked out of Cirrus’s office, waving him off.

Cirrus sits in his office, tapping his fingers.

"…Hecton, Fafnir, do you think if Ai was here, this wouldn’t happen?"

The two of them appeared from his shadow.

"Given Lady Ai’s personality, I am sure it would have been worse," Hecton said.

"It’s true. Lady Ai has more appetite than all your wives, master. Including Lady Ryuu." Fafnir said.

"… Fafnir, Hecton, where are Calli and Auby?"

"In the third tower training area," Fafnir said.

"They should slam the door open within 10 minutes right about now," Hecton said.

"Mmm… I guess I’ll spend this day with the kids. Tomorrow I will be too busy."

"Lady Callisto will be ecstatic, along with young master Auberon," Fafnir said, slowly blending back into the shadows.

"Yeah, can you tell Malion and Artemis what I’m going to do today? Hecton, do you mind helping me with all this paperwork?"

"As you wish." Fafnir left through the shadows.

"Shall I go all out, sir?" Hecton said as several arms slowly emerged from the shadows of the room.

"Yeah, better to get as much done today. The assistants are off for the Goddess Festival."

They quickly began to go through and sign the papers to get through the pile.

Just as Hecton predicted, Callisto burst through the doors with Auberon right behind her. He helped finish enough that he disappeared before Callisto could burst in.

Slam!!!

The doors are slammed open.

"Dad!!!" Callisto shouted, rushing up to him.

"Dad said to stop slamming the door, Calli!" Auberon shouted, slowly closing the doors.

"Dad! Dad! Is Aunty Ryuu going to be our new mom?" Callisto said, eagerly looking up at her father.

Cirrus finishes his last paper and leans back.

"Ah~," He takes a deep breath while Auberon comes up to him. "Kids, today, do you wanna spend the Goddess Festival with me?"

"But—"

"Let’s go, Dad!" Callisto turned Cirrus around and pulled him up onto his feet. "Come on, Auby!"

He would tell them the truth later that night.
