Chapter 401: Chapter 406: I’m Afraid You’ll Be Lonely Alone

Behind her, Gu Yunci was acting so realistically that she fell for real. There was a loud “thump” as her face slammed onto the solid wooden chair back!

A scream filled the room. When Gu Yunci finally got up, she hastily covered her nose. Her nose, which she had got operated on just last week, had been knocked askew!

Blood flowed incessantly from her nostrils…

Beiming Han quickly shifted his weight after holding Gu Qingxin, and they faced the front once again.

Everything moved so fast that Gu Qingxin almost giggled at Gu Yunci’s pathetic state, clutching her off-centre nose.

“Xiao Ci, are you okay?” Gu Huai’an rushed to help his eldest daughter after seeing her fall so embarrassingly.

“My nose, my nose!” Gu Yunci wept in despair. She had just had her surgery; she had no idea whether her nose could be restored to its original shape.

Gu Huai’an hurriedly grabbed a few tissues from his desk and stuffed them into his eldest daughter’s profusely bleeding nose. He was both humiliated and anxious, especially upon seeing Gu Qingxin looking so smug; this was deeply infuriating.

Although he was angry, Gu Huai’an was not forgetful. Now wasn’t the time to be settling scores. The priority was to establish a connection with the Sheng Ming Corporation and discuss possible collaborations.

“Mr. Han, what are your thoughts about our companies collaborating?” Gu Huai’an turned to Beiming Han, feeling a surge of anger whenever he glanced at Gu Qingxin.

“Let’s discuss this another time. You should take your daughter to the hospital for now.”

Beiming Han held the girl in his embrace tighter. His stoic expression gave no hint of his intentions towards Gu Yunci.

He reached out for the desk phone and ordered, “See them out!”

“Dad, take me to the hospital first!”

Gu Yunci was seething with anger, not only towards Beiming Han, but also Gu Qingxin. She was convinced that Gu Qingxin had used some alluring trick on Beiming Han.

She was adamant that Beiming Han liked her. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have asked her father to take her to the hospital. That was an obvious sign of concern.

She didn’t want to be seen in such a hideous state by Beiming Han.

Gu Qingxin didn’t care what Gu Yunci thought. She took the initiative to wrap her arms around Beiming Han’s neck and pecked his lips. Even if she did nothing, she would be damned in Gu Yunci’s eyes. So, why not infuriate her further!

Gu Yunci was so infuriated that she was on the verge of a breakdown!

Thankfully, Gu Huai’an managed to hold her back in time…

After Lian Qingruo saw the father-daughter duo out, she immediately had the room cleaned.

Beiming Han held Qingxin as they stood. “Throw that chair away. Disinfect the room!”

Beiming Han’s phone rang. He held Gu Qingxin with one hand and picked up the phone with the other.

Beiming Han personally drove Gu Qingxin to a hot spring resort. Huangfu Ye and Bai Jingqing were already waiting there. Much to Gu Qingxin surprise, Bai Qianqian was present as well.

Staff members opened the car doors for them. Beiming Han got out of the car and carelessly threw the keys to a staff member. Gu Qingxin rushed over to Bai Qianqian and asked, “Why didn’t you go to school today? And how did you… ”

“Miss Bai came with me. I ran into her at the hospital and asked her if she wanted to come along. Knowing that you’d be here, she tagged along.” Bai Jingqing explained.

“Yeah, I didn’t want you to be alone.” Bai Qianqian tried to act as natural as possible.
