Devil’s Music

Chapter 406: Coming Soon (6)

Chapter 406: Coming Soon (6)

After receiving temporary passes in the security office on the first floor, Pyemon and Gusion got on the elevator. Pyemon pressed the button for the K floor, prompting Gusion to start a conversation.

“Why are they calling us in during such a hectic time?”

“It seems the first batch of the album, straight from the factory, has just been released. They want to give it to us and a few other appreciative people first.”

“Really? Hmm… I don’t have a CDP, should I buy one…?”

“Kek-kek, a demon buying a CDP to listen to music, that’s quite fresh. Kikikik.”

“Kukuk, you’re right. That guy has us doing all sorts of things.”

When they reached the fourth floor, the elevator doors opened, and they walked down a hallway decorated with Geon’s photos, through automatic doors, and saw Geon standing by the window looking outside. He turned around with a bright smile.

“Pyemon! Gusion!”

He ran over with a happy face as if seeing them for the first time in years and hugged them both.

“We saw each other not too long ago, why so happy?”

“Hehe, I’m always happy to see you guys. You’re friends I want to be with every day! Come, sit down.”

Geon led them to a sofa and handed them a pre-prepared CD.

“Here, Pyemon, Gusion. This is my first full album.”

After opening the CD case and flipping the cover, Pyemon saw Geon’s signature and a message written inside.

To my dear friend, Pyemon.

Your friendship has been a great support and strength to me.

Love you, my friend.

Pyemon, smiling at the message, handed one CD to Gusion, but noticed he already held one in his hand. Pyemon flipped the cover of the remaining CD and his eyes widened.

The silent cheer of your support is a great strength to me. Everything is thanks to you.

After reading the unspecified recipient's message, Pyemon looked up at Geon. Grinning, Geon looked puzzled and asked.

“Do you… remember anything?”

“Huh? Remember what?”

“Like, having a significant impact on your head… or recovering a lost memory… something like that?”

“No? Why?”

Pyemon, holding the CD for an unspecified recipient, asked,

“Who did you mean to give this to?”

Geon laughed and pointed at Gusion.

“Ah, that. It’s for someone precious to you. I gave two CDs to Gusion, too.”

Realizing that Gusion also held two CDs, Pyemon sighed in relief.

‘I thought it reminded me of Lord Gamagin. Phew.’

Gusion, who seemed relieved for a moment, laughed awkwardly. Geon then pulled out four small gift boxes, slightly bigger than the palm of a hand, and handed out two each.

“What’s this?”

Geon, sitting on the sofa with a cushion on his lap, smiled.

“It’s a CDP. I figured neither you nor the people you might gift it to would have one, so I got these ready.”

Since Gusion had been considering buying a CDP, he smiled brightly.

“Haha, why go to such lengths? We could have bought it ourselves.”

“Don’t worry about it. The album factory makes CDs, so the CDP manufacturing business is doing well too; they gave these as gifts. I still have a few more, so let me know if you need more.”Nôv(el)B\\jnn

“Hehe, what will we do with so many CDPs, kukuk.”

“Hehe, right?”

As Pyemon was checking out the CDP in the gift box, satisfied with its nice design, the automatic doors opened. Gusion and Pyemon, who had already sensed who it might be, managed their expressions and turned around, while Geon sprang up and ran toward the door.

“Professor Sharon!!!”

Sharon and Lyn stood at the door. It was Sharon’s first time in Geon’s office, so she looked around with wide eyes and remarked.

“Wow, Fantagio really treats you well, K. It feels great to see a student treated like this, hoho.”

Geon hugged Sharon and nudged her forward.

“Hehe, Professor. I missed you. Come in, Director Lyn too.”

Geon seated the two on the sofa and introduced them.

“Director knows already, but I’ll introduce you to my friends Gusion and Pyemon.”

Sharon nodded slightly to Gusion and Pyemon, who stood up awkwardly to greet her.

“Hello, I’m Sharon Isbin, a professor from Juilliard.”

“Pyemon.”

“Gusion.”

After the greetings, Geon stood up and headed to the cafeteria at the far end of the vast K floor.

“Sharon is well-known, right? Have a good chat, I’ll go make some coffee

.”

Gusion, watching Geon walk to the cafeteria, whispered softly.

“Sharon as in Professor? And you confirmed Lyn is Uriel. Then who are you?”

Sharon turned her head to glance at Geon whistling while making coffee, and Pyemon whispered,

“Are you Ramiel?”

Sharon smiled at Pyemon, who had guessed her name, and nodded slightly.

“I am grateful to both of you, for always watching over and helping the child, Lord Pyemon, and for preventing a major incident recently, Lord Gusion. Thank you both.”

Gusion narrowed his eyes.

“To live to see the day when an angel thanks me.”

Pyemon chuckled and patted his shoulder.

“Didn’t I tell you it’d be interesting to befriend the kid? How about it, quite an experience, huh? Kukuk.”

“Huhu, yeah. It’s been fun.”

Sharon crossed her legs and smiled.

“How is Lord Gamagin doing?”

Pyemon pursed his lips and nodded.

“These days, his divine power is bubbling up, and he’s been busy controlling it.”

Lyn intervened with a question.

“Why control it? According to Caliel, he’s gathered more than enough divine power to become an angel.”

Pyemon smiled at the two.

“Did you really think Lord Gamagin would become an angel and serve under you two? He’s been gathering and will ascend directly to be on par with Caliel or even close to Michael. Until then, he must control it, as he cannot become an angel yet.”

Lyn’s face lit up with a smile.

“Hoho, Caliel would be furious if he knew.”

Pyemon burst into laughter, looking over at Geon who was far away.

“Did you two receive CDs and CDPs?”

Sharon nodded.

“Yes, Uriel and I each received five CDs and CDPs.”

Gusion looked puzzled.

“You two are just two people like us; why did you get five? Oh, are they for John Corigliano and Leontine Price?”

Sharon shook her head.

“No, he personally delivered theirs.”

“Then why five?”

Sharon looked at Geon, who was humming while making coffee, and said,

“Maybe he instinctively knows something?”

Gusion made a confused face.

“What does he instinctively know?”

Sharon just smiled, and Lyn added,

“He might be aware of the existence of Michael, Caliel, and Nanael.”

Pyemon narrowed his eyes at Geon.

“He knows?”

Sharon spoke up.

“Probably not. It’s just a random act of gratitude that coincidentally matched up. How could he know?”

“Hmm… If he knew, it would be a problem. But there’s no way he could, so it must be an instinctual understanding of the beings who have impacted his life over the years.”

“Hoho, perhaps so.”

“Hmm… Alright then. Our share will go to Amducias and Lord Gamagin. Gusion, pass yours to Amducias.”

Gusion nodded, and Pyemon whispered,

“The kid is coming. Shh.”

Geon, carrying a tray of coffee, placed it on the table in front of the sofa and laughed.

“Wow, you guys are getting along with our professor? Even though it’s your first meeting, as expected, Pyemon, you’re good at this, haha.”

Pyemon laughed as he took a coffee.

“Me? I can get along with just about anyone, haha.”

As Geon was distributing the coffee and laughing, his movements slowed down. As he was handing a coffee to Lyn with a slow smile, his body completely froze, and the four of them simultaneously looked up at the ceiling.

A black vortex appeared on the white ceiling, slowly revealing a pair of black shoes descending from the swirling abyss.

The man, wearing black sunglasses and long hair, stepped onto the floor without a word and approached the frozen Geon, patting his head.

“Well done, my child.”

Pyemon and Gusion bowed simultaneously.

“Lord Gamagin, we greet you.”

Gamagin patted Pyemon and Gusion’s shoulders without a word and turned to Lyn and Sharon.

“Uriel, Ramiel. It’s been a long time.”

Lyn bowed.

“It has been very long, Lord Gamagin.”

“Haha, you were so close to the child and yet escaped our notice; that’s quite a feat.”

“It was only thanks to Michael’s power.”

“Hehe, indeed, Ramiel, you were completely undetectable.”

Sharon grinned.

“I, too, was invisible thanks to Lord Michael’s power.”

Gamagin smiled back at her and sat down.

“Sit.”

The four cautiously took their seats, and Lyn asked with a serious look,

“Is it time?”

Gamagin shook his head.

“Not yet, it will probably be soon after the child’s album is released. I look forward

to working with you.”

Lyn and Sharon bowed their heads.

“It’s an honor to be with you, Lord Gamagin.”

Listening to the conversation, Gusion asked,

“I heard you aim to ascend directly to Michael’s level in one go. Is that possible?”

Gamagin looked at the still Geon with a loving gaze.

“The child has grown more than expected, so it’s possible.”

Pyemon, after a moment of silence, cautiously spoke.

“When you become an angel… are you taking the child with you?”

Gusion, startled, looked at Gamagin.

“What do you mean, taking the child? To heaven?”

Lyn and Sharon, hearing this for the first time, looked surprised at Gamagin. Sitting relaxed on the sofa, Gamagin’s eyebrows narrowed.
