Chapter 8
C8 – When the King Matched with the Bronze
The mission commenced, and the surrounding light screen vanished, signaling that the remaining three individuals were now free to leave the valley. Besides the Green Ball and the elf girl, who seemed somewhat wary of him, there had been no further conflicts.
The elf girl, named Aiwa, hailed from the Elf Plane, while the Green Ball was a type of magical creature that kept its true name a secret. They originated from different planes with distinct cultures, yet Choo Qin noticed something intriguing. It appeared that humans were not particularly well-regarded in other planes, often occupying the lowest rung of society. When compared to other races, humans’ physical prowess and attributes fell significantly short.
“There’s some activity in the valley ahead.”
Navigating the dense forest, they occasionally came across peculiar beasts with aggressive tendencies. Three cheerful Dragon Cubs trailed behind Choo Qin, who, with a wave of his hand, acknowledged the combat unfolding in the valley ahead.
“Human Mage… May I pose a question to you?” asked the Green Ball, its expression one of astonishment. After a brief pause, it addressed Choo Qin.
”Hmm?”
“Based on the Human Mage ranking system, what level have you attained?”
“Uh, I believe the term is Sorcerer.”
A look of sudden comprehension crossed the Green Ball’s curious face.
“We’re over two thousand meters from the valley ahead. A probing spell would require a magical creature of at least the Red Ball’s caliber.”
“By the standards of the Dragon Battlefield, the power gap between Dragon Tamers is not supposed to be vast.”
“You… You seem to have wandered into the wrong place.”
The Green Ball was at a loss for words. Ever since Choo Qin had effortlessly vanquished the Orc with a simple fireball, it had been closely observing him. With its keen sense for energy, it had sensed that something was amiss.
The elf girl nodded blankly, her demeanor now tinged with fear. “In our realm, a human Sorcerer is on par with an Elf High Priest.”
“I can detect the energy fluctuations of the Green Ball and sense the Orc’s energy from earlier, but I can’t pick up the slightest trace from you.”
Choo Qin felt bewildered. Listening to the Green Ball and the elf girl, he suddenly became aware of his own Upgrade System.
The Raising Dragon System’s probe had been severed by the Upgrade System?
It had simply classified him as an ordinary person and dumped him here?
So now, he was a king who had arrived in the Bronze District?
“Alright, I actually have no idea what’s happening either.”
“Let’s focus on the mission for now. If that’s really the case, it might not be such a bad thing.”
Choo Qin nodded, gazing toward the valley.
The disturbance had ceased, and something was heading their way!
Five minutes later, the battle concluded once again.
The four adversaries didn’t even get a chance to approach before Choo Qin’s Wind Blades sent them soaring.
The elves and the Green Ball shivered and cowered behind, knowing better than to provoke the big boss.
The three Dragon Cubs were equally bewildered.
According to their ancestral memories, the task for a novice Dragon Tamer involved bonding through combat with their companions.
What was happening now?
It seemed as though they were being taken for a walk.
Alyssa, utterly bored, let out a Dragon Breath infused with the essence of Ice Soul, which immediately instilled a sense of dominance over the other two Dragon Cubs, causing them to flee towards their master.
The elves and the Green Ball were in utter disarray.
It was one thing for Choo Qin to be stronger than them, but they hadn’t expected his dragon companion to be in a completely different league.
That blast of Frost Dragon Breath earlier – could Choo Qin be using some kind of cheat?
