GOAT, Greatest of All Time, the greatest in the history, is a hotly debated topic in every competitive sport, and even the best across all sports are slowly entering the discussion.

Everyone's definition and standards for GOAT often differ:

Some look at the data, whoever has the most championships is the most formidable.

Some consider professional awards, from MVP to professional honors and comprehensive evaluations by peers in the industry, more professional than mere blunt numbers.

Some assess influence, focusing on who enabled their sport to become famous and had a profound global impact that drove the entire sport.

Some look at an era, great opponents give birth to great eras; a champion who outclasses all opponents is indeed admirable, but the king is the one who reaches the Summit of the Forbidden amidst a dazzling array of stars and fierce competition.

And so on and so forth. Also, because the word "GOAT" itself means a goat, naturally, people often jocularly refer to these greatest as goats, and some even gift goats to the stars.

Football is no exception.

Joe Montana, Dan Marino, Brett Favre, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, and many others are all in the discussion for football's GOAT, and that's just the quarterbacks alone; other positions have even more.

Here, Tom Brady, the quarterback of the New England Patriots, rightfully occupies a place.
