Chapter 721:- Supreme Commander [I]

"Finally, everything is in my control." The Goddess of Light, Luna, was sitting on the throne of the Echo Dominion Empire.

With Daxton Ferguson under her control, the whole Echo Dominion Empire was under her control. Whoever questioned Daxton's actions was silenced by Daxton.

Everyone living in the Royal Castle has been put under Luna's control. All of them now had become her puppets.

"In the end, switching our plans was the best choice." Said the Sky Serpent, who was resting behind the throne. The Sky Serpent always stayed by Luna's side. The Serpent never left Luna's side, even for a second.

Previously, Luna had to keep a low profile because their original plan was different. Because some things hadn't gone according to their plans, they had to change everything. Luna and her partner understood that they could not control everything.

But both of them always had backup plans ready. When their first plan didn't work, they immediately switched to their second plan, which was more direct.

Depending upon how the Dragon Monarch was reacting, both of them kept modifying their plans. Before their plan, Luna needed to slowly conquer one city after another without gaining the attention of the Hephaestus Kingdom's King.

But once they changed their plan, it took her a few days to control the Hephaestus Kingdom, the Echo Dominion Empire, The Thera Kingdom, and The Storm Isle Dynasty.

"As long as everything is within the scope of our plan and nothing deviates from it, the defeat of the Dragon Monarch is unavoidable." Once that happens, Luna will finally achieve her goal.

The Sky Serpent silently listened to Luna's words. For a few seconds, the Serpent did not speak. It was as if it was thinking about how to respond to her words.

After a while, the Serpent finally opened its eyes. "Do whatever you want. I have been by your side for centuries now. I never stopped any of your actions, regardless of how bad or good your actions were."

"For the first time, I want to warn you." Hearing all this, Luna was surprised. The Sky Serpent has been by her side ever since she saved its life. The Serpent stayed by her side and always protected her.

The two were more like best friends.

This was the first time her friend had said such words in all the years they had been together.

"Warn me about what?" Luna asked as she gazed towards the empty Throne Hall.

"For once, let's be honest to ourselves."

"We both know it - the road you have chosen goes against the very law of Nature. What was bestowed upon you cannot be changed. No matter how powerful you become, you can never change the heavenly laws that govern this World and this Universe." Hearing all these words, Luna tightly clenched her fists. This was a very sensitive topic for her. It was something that she hated talking about.

"What do you want to say? Stop the chase and get to the point." Luna said to the Sky Serpent in a very annoyed tone.

Sigh...!!!

Hearing this, the Sky Serpent secretly sighed. He knew talking about this matter would annoy Luna and even slightly angry. But this was a crucial matter. He felt he may never get the chance if he didn't talk to her about this topic.

"I have been by your side for so many years that I have lost count of it. I know your motivation better than anyone else in this whole world." n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"You want to be recognized as a True Goddess. You want to be recognized not as a False Goddess but as the Goddess of Light." Luna did not speak. But this was indeed the end goal. She has been following this goal for centuries.

What started as a little wish to be recognized by everyone around her later changed and became an obsession.

Luna wanted to change her class. She was given the class of False Messiah. She wanted to change her class. She wanted the class of a Goddess of Light. Unfortunately, no one had the power to change the Heavenly laws. Once a person gained a Class, that class can never be changed.

So Luna tried to make this change through another approach. At first, Luna tried to gain recognition as a Goddess by using her powers and skills to help people. But no matter how much kindness she showed to people and how much she helped the people around her using her powers, she never found the Recognition that she was looking for.

No matter how much she did, there would be someone in the crowd always telling her that she wasn't enough. There would always be someone telling her that she could never become a True Goddess.

Knowing there was nothing on the bright side, she joined her partner. She decided to fully embrace her class, False Messiah. Since she could not become the real one, at least she could deceive people and make the whole world believe that she was a Goddess—not just a mere Goddess, but the greatest of all Goddesses.

Since both of their ambitions aligned so well, Luna couldn't stop herself from falling for him. She felt he understood her very well.

Luna wasn't pleased that Sky Serpernt's words had made her remember her past. She was very pissed.

"Be direct! If you can't be direct with your words, then shut up." Luna told the Sky Serpent in a cold tone. She might be the only one in this whole world who would speak to the Sky Serpent in such a tone.

"Your motivation has driven you to this path."

"I know you won't stop even if I tell you to."

"I want to warn you of the Dragon Monarch."

"That man who calls himself the Dragon Monarch...?" Luna asked in a mocking tone.

"Say what you want to say about him, but you can never deny his Majesty." The Sky Serpent was not going to argue with his best friend about this matter, so he decided to end the discussion as soon as possible.

"You and his goal is to defeat the Dragon Monarch."

"But you bear in mind that man is an abnormal existence. Your over-confidence might prevent you from seeing what might be coming from him." The Sky Serpent said nothing else. He closed his eyes and became silent.

The Sky Serpent had warned Luna about Aditya. Aditya can be very resourceful. The Sky Serpent was worrying that he might be preparing to deal with Luna and her partner without them even knowing about it. This is why he warned her to be extra cautious. He hoped that she would take his warning seriously.

But he could sense that she was very pissed. It was very likely that she would end up ignoring his warning.

'Whatever! I have done my part.'

'If something does happen, then I will take her with me and flee from this continent.' The Sky Serpent was confident in his powers to accomplish that.

'Maybe laying low for a few centuries would be enough for the Emperor to forget about us.'

The Rulers of the Hephaestus Kingdom, the Echo Dominion Empire, The Thera Kingdom, and the Storm Isle Dynasty were sitting around a large square-shaped table. The Four Rulers that have decided to wage war against the Istarin Empire have gathered to decide something very important.

"Let's not waste any second. We don't have much time on our hands." Daxton said to others with a very serious

Behind Daxton, the Prime minister and the Commander of the Empire's army was also standing.

The other three Rulers also brought their Prime Ministers and also the commanders of their Kingdom's army.

Even the Prime Ministers and the Commanders were confused by this sudden change in their Rulers's attitudes. Just a few days ago, everyone acted like one big happy family, but today, whenever they mentioned the Istarin Empire or Aditya, a look of immense hatred and disgust appeared on their faces. This change left many confused and wondering what had caused this change. What has the Istarin Empire done to make them hate the Empire so much?

"We have gathered here to discuss our plans and also to decide who is going to become the Supreme Commander - the one who will be leading everyone against the Istarin Empire." Everyone turned to Daxton.

Daxton's reign is longer than any other Ruler's reign in this room. He was the most experienced person in this room. And also, his Empire had the most military and political power compared to the other three Nations. So others felt that it was up to him to decide who was going to become the Supreme Commander in this war. Regardless of whomever he chooses, the others are not going to complain about it, and they would just accept it.

"Before, I would have chosen someone from this room, but I have met this amazing person not so long ago. I think that she is more fit to lead us into this War. She is more capable than all of us combined."

'Who is this person?' Everyone wondered in their minds. To think that even the Emperor was speaking so highly of her, she definitely must be someone very talented.

"Her name is Luna. She is the Goddess of Light."

Hearing this, the other three Rulers nodded their heads. But before others could question Daxton's decision, Daxton signaled everyone to be quiet and let him speak. "Let's meet her first. I have already sent my men to escort her to this meeting room."

'Just what in the hell is happening?' The new Commander of the Thera Kingdom thought to himself. In his opinion, his King was making a huge, stupid mistake by going against the Istarin Empire. The Istarin Empire sheltered the Thera Kingdom from foreign threats. It was because of the Empire that the Thera Kingdom's economy had grown so much. Despite all that the Empire has done, this is how the Thera Kingdom was treating the Empire.

'The Dragon Monarch is going to be super pissed about this.' Anders has tried to change King Ren's mind, but no matter how much he tries, he never listens to him. Ren even put the old King and even his wife in prison since they tried to stop him.
