It all happened in the blink of an eye, but while Ethan grabbed the necromancer's neck, he absorbed all the memories he had. He didn't try to control his power by trying to close his mind to those memories. Thanks to it, the necromancer lost everything in just two seconds.
"We can go now, big sis…" Ethan muttered while he was thinking about those memories.
As expected, the necromancer was the heir to a famous noble family. His name was Rivru… despite having a pretty privileged life, he grew to be a pretty respectable youth. He was talented at magic, so he quickly became famous when that crisis started. Still, even though he tried hard for a long time, he ended up only measuring his achievements with the number of times he was praised by others. Even though few people achieved as much as him, he wished to be praised even more. However, since that never happened because the hero saved the world, he ended up resenting her. Those dark memories and the memories of his training, studying, and fighting were the things Ethan saw in those seconds.
"Three skills, huh…" Ethan sighed when he, Hannah, and Rivru suddenly appeared outside the mountain of ice.
His power as an Omni Hero was rather unstable. Still, Ethan recalled that at the beginning, he only could absorb so much memories and skills from his foes. At some point, he could absorb all of it, but that only happened when he overused that power. Still, three skills at that level… that power was stronger now than during the times he first made use of them in the other world.
"You were right," Hannah said while watching Ethan's arms. "I don't like this result."
"I wasn't talking about this," Ethan shrugged. "I was talking that you wouldn't like it because I would steal the whole spotlight, and I still will force you to deal with the aftermath of this whole situation."
"What do you mean by that?" Hannah frowned.
"It means that you will be praised as the one who defeated the necromancer," Ethan smirked. "Even though I was the one who did it. Knowing you, I will bet that you will feel really embarrassed."
"Hah?" Hannah raised her voice. "I will never do that. You will come with me!"
"Nope," Ethan shook his head. "I already had my share of problems in those last few days. Besides, diplomacy is your job, not mine. I'm tired of talking with authorities, even more so considering that I have a big sister that is the queen of fantasy world."
There was no point in Ethan moping around about using that power. He did what he did because he had to and because his choices led him to that situation, and he didn't regret those choices. Besides, it was much better than getting depressed and showing that pathetic side of his to Hannah.
"I can feel that your mana got more intense when he fell unconscious," Hannah said while looking at Rivru was lying on the snow. "Are you going to be fine?"
"No worries," Ethan said. "These last few days, I got overly worried about this power, and thanks to it, I ended up making some mistakes, but that won't happen anymore. I failed in learning how to control this power before, but I won't fail this time. Anyway, it is loot time!"
Hannah sighed while watching her little brother taking the items that the half-dead man possessed. As a magic user, she wasn't that interested in the items that Rivru had. Besides, she was the queen of the strongest nation in another world, so money really wasn't a problem for Hannah.
"This is weird…" Ethan muttered when he grabbed the items that Rivru had and saw some screens appearing in front of him

It was weird… Ethan never managed to read the info on items that hadn't been created by his system. Well, he managed to read the info of some in the past, but those items were sacred relics in those worlds, like the black sword of the demon king's son. Although the frozen amulet was one hell of an item since it could prevent the freezing effect, the others weren't that amazing. Also, considering that the info on the winter's cloak was the same as the one he bought for Hannah… several questions popped inside his mind. However, before he could show his worries, Ethan gave the amulet to Hannah.
"Here, I believe this not only will help you, but it will also look fair better in you than him," Ethan said. "I didn't give you a present on your birthday last year, right? Since I was in the other world. Consider this my gift."
"You could have at least wrapped…" Hannah said, and despite her words, she smiled and then put the amulet.
The amulet was completely blue, and it had three blue gems at the center of it. Although Hannah looked far better with more vivid colors, blue looked pretty good with her.
"Which reminds me, last year was your thirty-first anniversary, right?" Ethan asked.
"It was the twenty-first!" Hannah roared.
