Chapter 37: Stepsisters battle and level up

Now, I'm going on a night hunt with Mel and the others. I'll light up the area with my light spell.

I hear the three of them say in admiration.

"So this is the light? It's certainly going to help us when we hunt at night"

"It's actually a big help. How do people fight without it?"

"They get night vision skill and stuff. Nii-chan"

"But since you're the only target, light magic is recommended now"

Hee, I didn't know...that players can also get the night vision skill.

"Mirai-chan has light magic too, so should she use it?"

Mirai suddenly took the turn. Then use it from the beginning. I thought so, but I was more concerned than that.

"What are you going to do about the party?"

"We have some friends who play this game, so we'll probably form a party with them, right?"

"Are you sure? You don't hunt with them today"

I said so and they pounced on the prey, which they had already locked on to with their night vision.

And then three wolves appear within our range of vision. The first wolf.

"Lilly, stop. Ion, take one"

Lilly is not happy, but I hope she will be patient. Ion kills one wolf. Now there are two left.

"As ordered"

"Lisa-chan, the enemy is coming"

"Yeah! Good! I'll take care of it!

"I'll take care of the other one. Mirai-chan, please support me"

"Okay. Leave it to me"

With that, the three of them began their battle. The first one was Lisa, who was, in a word, dynamic. She charged in, ready to take damage and punched and kicked the wolf while using her skills. Naturally, she took some damage, but Mirai quickly recovered her.

As for Mel, this was a typical sword fight. She uses her sword to block the wolf's attacks and then attacks where there is a gap. This is a technique I used to play in a game I used to play. Apparently, you can't move for a few seconds after repelling an attack. I learned something good.

"Lisa-chan requires the aid and labour of others"

Mirai looked like she was in trouble. Oh, Lisa is getting mad at Mel.

And Gray and the others are coming back. It looks like they're done. Looks like Mel and the others got a level up.

"We can do the dismantling, right?"

"Go ahead. I've beaten a lot of them"

"Thanks. Lisa-chan, help me with this"

"Alright!"

When the dismantling was finished, Gray looked up. The bats are next.

"It looks like the bats are here, so I guess I'll fight too"

"I...don't have any attack magic..."

Mirai is depressed. Yes? I thought she should take it, but apparently she can't get it. I heard later that the only magic that a priest can acquire is light magic. In other words, it seems that I have no choice but to defeat it.

At Mel's request, Konoha attacked the bats coming from the sky first. The remaining bats were taken out by us. I like to use lightning magic rather than fire magic when dealing with bats. The magic itself is fast and hard to dodge. I also like the beauty of lightning at night.

Once the bats are safely killed, Mel and the others level up again. That was fast. I myself have leveled up my lightning magic.

And now for Lily's favorite food. A horde of boars. There are about 20 of them. That's a lot today.

Now that the boar hunt is over, it's time to go to the Young Tree Forest. From here, it became my normal hunt. That didn't change after we reached the Desnia river. But before we hunt Desnia, I cook. When Mel ate the food I cooked, she shouted.

When we lived together, my step mother and Kayo-nee used to cook together, but when I started living alone and learned to cook part-time, it was a big deal to Kayo-nee.

Every time we hunt a Desnia, the three of them who haven't done anything will level up. By the way, there is no level up for me. Sad.

After that, it's time for Lisa and Mirai to go to bed and we return to the town. This has been proven to be effective in Legion, with the help of Ruin-san and others. And here's where the space-time magic levels up.
