Chapter 470: One-Sided Fight
Flame was restless, since the battle started that she knew something wrong was going on. At the end, it resulted being Chaos, the man behind the slaughter, the chimera behind the entire problem, the being who has bringing destruction and catastrophe everywhere.. Since she was a child that Flame believed in justice, her father was a knight that always taught her various lessons in her childhood and was a chivalrous man that died in war to protect the Empire. Her mother, a priestess and fire magician, taught her everything she knew before Flame decided to enlist herself as a knight in the army at the young age of 14.
Back then, everyone laughed at her, she was too young, but because of the lack of soldiers due to the recent war back then, they accepted her. many of her fellow soldiers that laughed at her died in the first day of war when they were sent to battle against the invading armies of space pirates and space barbarians, congregations of wild alien races across the star system that were still trying to oppose the Empire of Orion and were using all sorts of weapons to unfairly win battles and destroy their foes.
The battlefields in the nearby moons of the planet of Aurora were always reeking with blood, but Flame survived, using her wits and the things taught to her, she continued surviving, fighting, and reaching further into the army, until finally, due to both chance and hard work, she managed to recapture several outposts within the moons with her army, and managed to raise in the ranks… She forged friendship with Sothe, Stone, and Aquaious, these three knights that were always with her fighting at her side.
Eventually, all four of them were given the blessing of the goddess, and after drinking the Elixir of Divinity, they suddenly ascended into Living Deities, and slowly continued evolving into Demigods, Gods, and over eons… Great Gods. However, despite growing so strong, their duty as knights, soldiers, guards, and paladins has never stopped, they continued working for the people and for their goddess over hundreds of years.
Until now, when the chimera, a being crafted by the corpses of Vampires and Dragons, which greatly offended the two families that their goddess served emerged, throwing the star system into chaos.
And now, here they were, fighting against this overwhelming entity.
Flame rushed towards Chaos the moment she saw him, without saying other words, her enormous golden blade erupted with blazing fire, as she began to spin across space at incredible speed, resembling a spinning flame blade reaching up to chaos with a storming clash.
CLAAAASH!
However, she was stopped midway through. Her eyes fixated into the expressionless face of Chaos, a being for her so devoid of emotions and humanity that it seemed utterly terrifying, even more than the Vampires she had ever met… his very presence sent chills down her spine as she moved several steps back, looking at him.
Chaos bare hands had stopped her attack… She was shocked.
"How strong have you grown?! Chimera… answer me!" Asked Flame.
"Stronger than you at the very least." Said Chaos expressionlessly. "Do you want to still fight? I see fear in your eyes. Do you truly want to serve a corrupt goddess?" Sighed Chaos. He was getting rather tired of seeing so many fools blindly serve such a despicable woman.
"My goddess… corrupt?! She protects the human race, she feeds us, she takes care of us, she gave our race shelter!" Roared Flame. "Our goddess…. She's-"
"I see." Said Chaos, as his hand suddenly pierced Flame's chest.
It was so fast she didn't even saw it coming, it was… teleportation- no, he simply moved so fast she didn't see him, it seemed like teleportation, but it was in fact simply moving.
"Ngh…! Y-You bastard…!" Flame grabbed Chaos arm tightly with her own hands, as she tried to swing her blade against him. "DIE!"
SLASH!
"AAAGH!"
However, Chaos slashed off her arm mercilessly with his claw. The other three knights realized what was happening, flying towards Chaos to stop him.
"You bastard! STOP!"
"FLAMEEE!"
"We won't let you!"
The trio of men emerged above Chaos as he simply unleashed an enormous wave of cosmic energy, throwing them away with an endless wave of cosmic energy, clashing against them! The powerful energy was corrosive to their bodies and souls, making them incredibly weak!
Flame looked at what Chaos was capable of, giving up already on her life, she bravely decided to sacrifice herself, setting her soul ablaze and deciding to take down Chaos with her!
"Don't worry you three… I have lived a long life already! I don't care to give it up if I can defeat this monster!!!" Flame roared heroically, her flames quickly encompassed chaos as they began to burn through his entire being, but he seemed unwavering.
"DIEEEE!" She roared, as her soul suddenly unleashed an explosion of flames!
…!
…
But nothing happened.
"E-Eh? Uggh…!" Flame groaned in agony, she was unable to explode because her soul and her body… they were already part of Chaos. When he pierced her chest, he spread his entire arm inside of her body and her soul, infecting them, parasitizing them, eating them, and then… turning her into him.
"W-What… why… it didn't worked?!" She asked.
"You're long dead." Said Chaos.
"D-Dead…?!"
"You're merely… an ego left in my body."
"Uggh…! I-Impossible! Just what… kind of monster are you?! GYYYAAAAAHH!"
CRUNCH!
Flame's mind was shrouded in eternal darkness, as her body and soul quickly fused into Chaos body and soul without any gory scene whatsoever… Chaos had suddenly reached Rank 9, she was strong enough for that.
"But not enough… I am yet to become Supreme God." He sighed in disappointment. "I wonder if you three would do…" Chaos looked into the three cardinals, as Sothe was told by Stone and Aquaious to run.
"Sothe, you're the fastest of the three, run as fast as possible! Tell the goddess about his weird powers so she can properly prepare!" Said Aquaious.
"RUN!" Said Stone. "We'll stop him for Flame!"
"S-Shit…! Shit! Shit! Shit! OKAY!" Sothe encompassed himself in storming winds, flying away.
However, the figure of Chaos showed up in front of him.
"You're not going anywhere."
