Chapter 481: Chasing Down The Last Remnants
Edward was kept speechless as he saw Chaos and Abyss fused form, they were so powerful that they made this climax battle a joke… He also helped at the end, but he still felt like they just did this very casually…
"Ah… That was fast." He said, feeling a big weight off his shoulders as his annoyingly evil Uncle was out of the picture. The Spirits at his side seemed to be incredibly happy that this guy died.
"Finally…" Sighed Gaia. "Well, with him dead, we can rest some more and recover strength… Edward, don't call us too much for now."
"Indeed, we'll slowly cut the connections that the Spirit King made with his family to summon us and our kin… Spirit Magic users cannot be this many, they're supposed to be special saints, not so common that they make up an entire race." Sighed Oceanus.
"The Spirit Elves.. they're up to you to handle, Edward. Do as you please, but for now, I would prefer if you renamed them to other name, Spirit Elves won't fit them anymore." Laughed Prometheus.
"…I see, thank you for all your help, Divine Spirits. I hope you can rest well for now." Edward said rather gratefully, he was very grateful to them as they had helped him a lot.
The three spirits nodded, slowly disappearing out of thin air.
"Hm, that was it?" Wondered Abyss. "I guess the Spirit King was just a dog that loved to bark." Sighed Abyss.
"Hm, he was rather weak. Perhaps I shouldn't had gone all-out, but that goes against my way of thinking." Said Chaos.
"Y-You two really surprised me there, I never thought you could fuse." Said Edward.
"Well, it's kind of our trump card." Said Abyss while giggling. "But it feels nice to crush bastards together."
"Indeed… Now, Edward, let's move back to Aurora." Chaos said, holding Edward with his gigantic claws and then teleporting into another checkpoint he left in Aurora.
FLASH!
They looked around to find the sky being rather clear, the army of dragons was now defeated at this point, and peace took over the planet… Chaos and his allies gathered inside the Palace where the Supreme Deity of Brightness was living in, after having captured the guards inside and the gods that had yet to die, Chaos decided to spare them as he wanted them to take care of the world below his jurisdiction. Of course, he used miasma to contaminate them and turn them into loyal subjects right away. He had trust issues after all.
"Well, you're finally back!" Said Aruliel. "Lord Chaos, what should we do now? The entire planet is supposedly below your authority as the leader died and all the four cardinals too…"
"Hm, I suppose that's the case, I don't know about taking care of humans that celebrated the death of my parents though." Sighed Chaos. "But there are many innocents as well, I don't think I should punish them… nor protect them." Chaos seemed to be in a bit of a pickle.
"Well, just take them then!" Said Lilith. "The prayers of mortals strengthen our divinities, I think you can already fit the planet inside your divine realm, right?"
"Certainly… I could even take this planet and the star… Hm." Chaos thought, as he suddenly realized he could just plunder the entire Star System as of now.
…
The Supreme Deity of Blood and the Supreme Deity of Minds fought against one another for hours. The enormous Eldritch Brain, leader of many Mindflayer Colonies had decided to fight the leader of the Vampires in this area of the Galaxy for once, attempting to avenge those that fell against the Vampire's tyranny.
The Supreme Deity of Blood was completely confused about the entire ordeal, it seemed that he had already sensed Valen and Jakob dying, so that Jakob that showed up couldn't possibly be the real one, and more, he began to believe that it was Chaos, who had somehow developed shapeshifting powers. However, the enormous brain, who should at least be intelligent enough to hear his words, was angrily and savagely attacking him with mind powers, attempting to destroy his mind and his soul with psionic techniques.
"Could you please stop and think for a little bit?!" Roared the Supreme Deity of Blood, as he continued to shield himself with many barriers of blood essence.
"I won't listen a single thing from you savage Vampires! It is enough! We shall not accept more abuse from you! We Mindflayers pride ourselves in our race, and you continuously bash on us! This is payback time!" Roared the Supreme Deity of Minds, as his various Elder Brains fought the Great God Vampires serving the Supreme Deity of Blood.
"You're an enormous brain and you can't even figure out the most obvious thing?! It is the chimera! He probably devoured Jakob, took his shape, and completely tricked both of us!" Roared the Supreme Deity of Blood.
"What?! That's… you're just trying to find an excuse to get out of this predicament, don't you? Heh, it must be because I have grown stronger from back then! I am not the same weakling that you and the dragon trampled over!" Laughed the Supreme Deity of Minds, believing the Supreme Deity of Blood feared him.
"Well, yeah, you're strong! …I admit it. However, we must not fight, this is just a plan from that Chimera- Eh?!" The Supreme Deity of Blood suddenly stopped moving, as the Supreme Deity of Minds also stopped moving.
An enormous presence suddenly appeared, within the confines of the Star System where they were fighting, a gigantic presence of pure darkness and chaos emerged… blood, cosmic energies, dark energies, space, and time essence… several other energies of various attributes swirling endlessly within the chaotic darkness of this enormous presence… a gigantic black dragon with the aura of many Supreme Deities floated in midair, right in front of the enemy army of Vampires and Mindflayers.
"T-That's… Wait! The Chimera?!" Asked the Supreme Deity of Minds.
"He's here… And his presence… So strong! How did he…? Ah… The Supreme Deity of Brightness… Spirits…?! And… PRIDE too?! W-What?! He managed to kill… to kill that old dragon?!" Asked the Supreme Deity of Blood, completely left shocked by what Chaos mere presence alerted him!
"I am sorry, but I cannot possibly leave you alive." Said Chaos with a sharp gaze.
