Chapter 13 One Star Point for Uncle Ji 1
13 One Star Point for Uncle Ji 1
A deep frown marred her beautiful face as she discovered several discrepancies and overspending the management made. There were also bad deals that Tang Enterprise had entered into, which brought more losses than revenue to the company.
Her cousin, Tang Zhelan, had really succeeded in bringing the business down with her.
Her new assistant, Cheng Ning, came into her office and placed a cup of coffee with creamer on her desk. Tang Zhelan was recently dismissed from her position as the President of Tang Enterprise and Tang Moyu, at her grandfather's insistence, replaced her cousin as the acting president while waiting for the next shareholders' meeting to be held.
"Miss Moyu, the little buns' bodyguard just called earlier. He said that something happened at the cafe the twins visited. There was a commotion and Little Star almost got hurt."
At the mention of those words, Tang Moyu jolted up from her seat and stared wide-eyed at Cheng Ning.
"What did you say? What happened to my Little Star?!" She demanded.
"Miss Moyu, please calm down," Cheng Ning already expected this reaction from her new boss.
Actually, she was recently hired as Tang Moyu's assistant by the company since no one wanted to work under the infamous 'Empress', knowing how diligent and harsh she could be when it comes to performances.
Cheng Ning had heard of Tang Moyu's legacy before and looked up to her. She thought that it was amazing to see a woman as courageous and smart as Tang Moyu excel in the business field, where men usually dominated. She also didn't believe the bad rumors following Tang Moyu's name, since she assumed it was just meaningless words to discredit her idol.
When she heard the rumors about the Empress returning to join Tang Enterprise, she'd been thrilled. She kept an eye on the job postings for Tang Enterprise and applied for the position to work under Tang Moyu.
She also admired how Tang Moyu was able to keep her beauty and radiance despite such pressure at work.
The empress was very beautiful in her opinion. Tang Moyu had attractive eyebrows, clear eyes, as if the sky had placed its stars in it. Her nose was straight and tall, paired with lips like petals with natural pinkish color on it.
Whenever Tang Moyu smiled, it made her look more beautiful and attractive in someone's eyes. To compliment her pretty face, Tang Moyu also has a body that could cause men's nosebleeds.
She had a C-cup breast size which was ample to her stature. Even as she wore traditional business attire, her slim waist, rounded derriere, and slender legs were still noticeable, which was impeccable in Cheng Ning's opinion.
After three days of working with her new boss, she felt lucky when Tang Moyu introduced her to the most beautiful and adorable little buns she'd seen in her entire life. Cheng Ning then adored the twins and pampered them with small gifts, whenever she met them at her boss' villa.
She'd just been as starstruck as when she first met the Empress in person, that she suddenly lost the ability to talk for a moment until Tang Moyu asked her the question again.
"Please calm down, Miss Moyu. Little Star was unharmed. The nice uncle they've been talking about lately saved her." Cheng Ning told her.
Tang Moyu slumped back into her seat and sighed in relief. Thank goodness Little Star was safe, or else all hell will break loose if she was hurt.
Her pair of little buns had been telling her recently about this nice uncle they met at the cafe when they tried to sneak out under her friend's nose.
Although her little buns said he was a crippled man, he must be a really kind man to take a liking to her mischievous children, who always seem to find new ways to terrify her to death with their antics.
Tang Moyu had forgotten how many times she changed nannies and babysitters just because Xiao Bao and Little Star terrorized them until they gave up. Pinching the bridge of her nose, she wondered where the heck did these two get this attitude, when she was sure as hell, she was a well-behaved and well-mannered child growing up.
"What happened then?" She supposed that it wasn't the end of their bodyguard's report.
Ever since Jiang Yunan lost his sight on her children, Tang Moyu decided to place a dedicated bodyguard beside her twins to make sure they wouldn't get kidnapped or taken advantage of by other people, if they found out the twins' relationship with her.
"They took the nice uncle to the hospital for treatment," Cheng Ning continued.
Hearing this, Tang Moyu nodded in agreement. It was already kind enough for that man to save her Little Star. It was only appropriate to help him get medical treatments.
"And then the twins offered to 'take care' of the nice uncle." Cheng Ning awkwardly said, her eyes focusing on her boss's reaction. As expected, Tang Moyu's face darkened when she heard what her little buns had done.
"They what?" Tang Moyu asked incredulously. Just what kind of ideas did Jiang Yunan put in her children's heads when her Little Buns spent time with him, before meeting this nice uncle at the cafe?
'Jiang Yunan, are you tired of living? To actually teach my sweet little buns to 'take care' of a person they just met? Just wait and see, I'll teach you a lesson you'll never forget!'
Jiang Yunan was a popular actor and was Tang Moyu's other friend aside from Li Meili. She had met him during her University days and they had been close comrades since then.
She and her little buns had just come back two weeks ago and he was the one who helped her find a temporary residence to stay and to look after her twins for a few days until she found a nanny to care for them.
"So where are they now? Please don't tell me that 'nice uncle' actually accepted their offer?" Tang Moyu could feel another headache coming to her. Her twins always managed to make her worry every time.
Cheng Ning smiled and shook her head. She clutched the tray she was holding in front of her.
"No, he didn't." She could also imagine the scenario that could happen if Tang Moyu found a crippled stranger invading her house. "But Xiao Bao and Little Star still insisted on taking care of him, so they followed him back to his own house."
Tang Moyu leaned forward at her desk and placed her elbows on top of it, running both of her hands on her face which was clear from any makeup. Dear Lord, she couldn't understand what was going on in her children's mind.
"Should we call the driver to pick them up?" Cheng Ning asked.
Tang Moyu shook her head. Her little buns would make it hard for anyone who tried to convince them to come home.
"No, I'll pick them up myself. Send me the address," Tang Moyu said before turning off and packing her laptop and taking her keys from her handbag.
