Chapter 487: System...

Chapter 487: System...

The ground beneath Sylas rebounded with a great presence and Sylas himself was sent flying into the air.

He barely had time to orient himself before he felt right back down flat on his face, but the feeling was completely shocking.

Just now, his telekinesis had erupted with such force that it was able to send him half a meter into the air. That was absolutely shocking. It had never been able to exhibit such strength and power before.

In order for that to work, it had to have been able to at least exhibit enough weight to offset his own. That meant that now his Gluttony Seed should be able to help him lift around 220 pounds or so, or around 100 kilograms.

However, that was only what he was able to exhibit passively. He hadn't even made a conscious effort to utilize it just now.

Sylas caught himself on the ground in a pushup position, slowly pulling himself up to his feet as he felt the power coursing within him. He was planning on testing it out to see what the true limits of his Gluttony Seed were now, but...

He could never have nice things.

[You have committed a Taboo]

[Title Changed]

[System Breaker > System Rebel]

[You have shattered the norms of the system and stepped beyond the boundaries it is willing to tolerate. The system is watching you]

[+100 Luck]

[System Curse]

Sylas' expression changed and he hurriedly looked at his Luck Stat.

[Luck: 101]

He had lost the +100% to Luck System Breaker gave him. Instead, it was replaced with a flat increase. Although this increase was enormous, Sylas had a feeling that in the long run he would only suffer for it.

Luck stats were obviously incredibly rare. The change to double whatever lucky run-ins he had with them was immensely valuable. But now that was gone.

On the one hand, he felt his senses expand to an astonishing degree and the world was like a violent eruption of colors.

But on the other...

He couldn't take his eyes off of it.

[System Curse]

The system had favored him so much until now. But due to no fault of his own, he was suddenly in its bad graces.

If the System Rewards were so helpful, just how detrimental would a System Curse be? Sylas took a breath and calmed himself down.

With all things the system did, there should be a balance. If not, there was no way he would have just gotten +100 to his Luck. That alone had expanded his visualization radius by double to 100 meters, and it would likely only increase once he settled it in.

His visualization had existed before the increase to his Luck stat, but the increase to his Luck had solidified it almost like an enhanced sixth sense.

His visualization was a combination of his Will and his Luck, the latter of which almost gave him a unique feel and sense for danger. Almost like an attunement with his surroundings.

Be Strong...

Sylas picked up the Madness Key around his neck and looked at it in silence for a long while. Every day, he felt like these words could only be more true and never less.

It seemed that now, he didn't just have to be prepared for everything... he had to be over- prepared. Because at any time, this Curse could fall on his head and ruin everything.

Sylas allowed himself to reach a calm equilibrium before he tested out his Gluttony Seed. 'Just about 250 pounds... This is good...'

With this, he could easily soar through the skies at least while his Gluttony Seed was still active.

He hadn't been taking full advantage of the sheer amount of weight his telekinesis could move around just yet. He still had about half a million Coins; maybe he should go and see if he could find something good to exchange for.

Sylas entered the Nexus once more and found exactly what he was looking for.

[Chained Stones (Unranked) (Semi-Treasure)]

[A Training Device useful for training beasts]

[Weight: 220 pounds each]

[Cost: 2000 (F) Coins]

It was a training item that could be used by Beast Masters. Most didn't have Sylas' Extricate Talent or his Hibernation Realm, so they had to use more crude methods like these.

He thought about trading for something much more expensive, but the good stuff was either far beyond his pay grade, or not worth it. Ultimately, this training item was durable enough for his needs and it had a chain attached to it that could be very useful in the right situation. And the best part was that there were two of them.

'It's been 16 hours...'

It was finally time.

With a thought, Sylas summoned the egg. Or, rather, what was now...

'A dinosaur?'

Sylas couldn't look at it like anything else.

It had four limbs; its back was covered in a half bony, half scaly contraption that almost looked like a turtle shell.

Its tail had a heavy mass of bone on the end of it, and spikes covered the lengths of its body.

It looked like a hammer tail dinosaur. Sylas didn't know the actual name of the dinosaur, but it didn't seem to matter in the slightest.

Even as a newborn, the beast was already at his hip height, and it seemed barely just short of as long as he was tall.

[Gene Talents]

[>Bone Coil]

[>Spinecoil Poison]

Seeing the Gene Talents he most wanted appear, he was satisfied. Though his Insight told him that the Bone-Tailed Lizard had only unlocked the weakest of the bone control talents of the

Spinecoil Serpent.

Bone Coil was only capable of tightening and strengthening, or doing the reverse, for already

existing bones and couldn't create new bones rapidly. This referred to the bones of the Bone-

Tailed Lizard itself.

The Spinecoil Poison scaled with the bone controlling talent. Meaning that Sylas could only use it to weaken enemies, but the vision of him making a person explode in a rain of bone that formed an area of effect attack was nothing but a pipe dream...n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

For now.

The Bone-Tailed Lizard rubbed up against Sylas' leg, licking at his feet.

Sylas was about to put it back into the Hibernation Realm when his gaze flickered.

There was an echo of a low, rumbling, and almost comforting growl in his ears.

'No, it's not my ears. It's in my head...' his gaze snapped toward the Bone-Tailed Lizard. '... Is

it trying to communicate with me?'

Sylas was stunned. Even the intelligent Basilisk King couldn't do this. Although it was just

incoherent growls and hums, Sylas had a feeling that this was huge.

'Is this because it's a dinosaur?'

The thoughts swirled around in his head, wondering if he had stumbled onto another benefit.

Unfortunately, his Insight didn't seem to have any information to give.

'I'll have to study this slowly...'
