Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 151: Unknown

As Shinja—the Stormblade—introduced himself, Shane couldn't help but smile as he felt that the name really suited the Warlord in front of him.

Indeed, he could easily tell that he had summoned a warlord, a man who had carved his name in blood and fire.

Shane extended his hand, and their grip was firm.

"I am Shane," he said, "the lord of this shelter. And this is Chaloem, our monk. He had just arrived a few moments ago before you."

Chaloem stepped forward, his eyes curious yet respectful.

Shane actually felt glad at the two's presence.

The monk's presence was calming, a counterbalance to the storm that Shinja represented.

It felt like a yin and yang that he had read before.

Shinja clasped Shane's hand, the calluses on his palm telling tales of countless battles. "It's my honor to serve you, Lord Shane…" he declared before he looked at the monk and gave him a nod.

Chaloem bowed slightly.

"A pleasure to meet you, Shinja."

Of course, Shane didn't forget to ask about the man's skills.

"Yes… There's quite a lot of them. However, only six skills have reached their peak." Shinja said, surprising Shane for a moment.

"Alright, let me see those skills…" Shane replied.

"You're a poison expert?" Shane asked as he didn't expect that this person who seemed to only know how to use his blade actually possessed an incredible skill!

"Yes… I'm also studying herbal medicines, and I have a few skills related to them, but they're only at lower levels, so there's nothing to be concerned about." Shinja said as if having a body that was immune to poison wasn't too much at all.

Anyway, Shane asked a few more questions to the 'Hero' that he had summoned, and because of this, he realized that the Gray Fog or even the Lord of the Realm seemed to favor people like Shinja…

They actually received more guidance than the others! They know more about the Foreign Survivors, the situation of the Continent, and the Zombies!

This was the case even though Shinja was from a different generation!

Shane couldn't help but feel glad to have Shinja around. This man knew about some Zombies that he hadn't even met yet.

Anyway, after some time, the five elves arrived after Mr. Wadsworth briefed them of the situation.

Eldrin, Thalion, Aranion, Faelar, and Círdan—each with eyes that held centuries of wisdom bowed at Shane as they acknowledged him as their lord.

They didn't seem to care about the monk and the Warlord, and as a matter of fact, these two were the most curious about these non-human beings!

However, since Shane was present, they decided not to ask questions and remained silent.

Anyway, they would soon know about these long-eared people that were serving their lord.

And so, the Warlord, the monk, and the five elven warriors, together with Shane, left the estate.

Well, he planned to explore past the trees, where he previously killed a Giant Zombie.

He believed that he would be safe right now with the help of his summons.

Soon, Gene watched the group leave the estate with a calm heart. Because of the weapons they received from Shane last night, none of them mind, even if he leaves this place for several days at all!

As long as they had water and food, they believed that this estate would last for a very long time!

Soon, the group entered the mysterious forest where the Giant Zombie was previously lurking…

As they entered this forest, its ancient trees seemed to start closing behind Shane and his companions.

However, with Shane's Map Feature and Cloud's detection, there was no way for them to get lost in this forest.

Lastly, the five elves were actually comfortable in this forest!

This time, before Shane could even be warned by Cloud, the Eldrin, the leader of elves, warned him…

"I can smell rotten flesh… Zombies. There are two of them..."

Shane smiled after hearing this, but Cloud's warning made him frown.

[ Scanning the surroundings... ] [ Scan complete. ]

[ Two Unknown Zombies detected. ]
