Chapter 13 Silent Chicken
The wingman with the iron staff muttered as he heard this. 'He thinks we can actually kill the region boss, what a joke. '
As Gary and Leas listened to the enemies talk among themselves, Seraher shouted. ''How come there are only three of you here? Aside from the person who just left, where is your teammate? ''
Her curiosity about this was uncharacteristic of her, but Gary and Leas immediately understood why she was asking.
''Huh? Why do you want to know? Don't waste our time with chit-chat. '' The wingman with the great-sword snorted.
Leas smiled slyly and replied. ''Didn't your teammate go after our teammate? I know this because your companion is already dead.''
When the enemies heard this, they were initially startled by it and exchanged glances with one another before they all suddenly started to laughter.
'' Is Silent Death dead? Oh, I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. '' The winged man with the iron wand roared with laugh.
''To be honest, you'd have a better chance of convincing us if you said that the person who just left is dead. But you are telling us that death itself is dead?'' The woman with the crossbow was laughing so hard that she lost her balance in the air and landed on the ground.
Seraher and her team were at a loss for words in the face of the enemy's behavior. What was so funny about this?
Thankfully, the man with the iron staff satisfied this curiosity by speaking. ''All right, all right, this is enough fun. Well… Let me explain why it's so funny.''
He started to explain after wiping his laughing tears away with the sleeve of his robe.
''Silent Death was already the best assassin among ordinary people before awakening. And his fame grew even more after he awakened. Despite being an F-rank, many consider him to be the best assassin, even among the E-ranks.
A high-level E-rank attempted to assassinate him once for personal reasons, but failed. Even if it's just a rumor, people believe he can escape even from a D-rank item holder.
And you're telling me right now that there's someone who can kill him in an F-rank match.
Hahahahah…
This is so funny. '' The wingman started laughing hysterically once more.
The surprise on Seraher's and the others' faces increased as they listened intently. They were certain—though they didn't know how—that Raydon had killed this formidable wingman. They couldn't have misinterpreted the system's message, right?
Seraher muttered quietly to her teammates with a serious expression on her face. ''Just try not to die. We need to gain as much time as possible.''
Their enemies basically had more stat points than them with the advantage of their race, and on top of that, they had the ability to fly. Therefore, the chances of defeating them were very low. But they could at least buy some time until the match is over.
After Falco's death, their points were almost equal. But Raydon was still out there, gaining points with each passing second. So if they can stall these three here and give Raydon some time, they can still win the match.
Now, all they had to do was avoid dying.

[Lv.9 Winged-man(F-rank) has been killed.]
[Your team gained 9 points.]
[You gained 90 experience points.]
Raydon looked at the system message and said with satisfaction. ''I didn't expect this chicken to give me so many experience points. ''
He approached the winged man's corpse and studied it. ''It seems that this is not any other ordinary mob. I guess he is from the enemy team. Dude, if you don't have the skill for assassination, you shouldn't be wasting your time watching me all the time.''
If the others had heard what Raydon had said, they would have vomited blood. One of the best assassins in another world was just a rookie chicken in Raydon's eyes.
As Raydon studied the wingman's body, it suddenly disappeared into a beam of light, leaving only a pair of black boots and a single black glove.
He picked up the boots from the ground and examined them.
[Boots]
-Grade: Grey
-Quality: Normal
-Skill: None
''Perfect, this has to be the worst item possible.'' Raydon cursed his luck.
There were seven item grades in this world, as far as Raydon could recall.
These are respectively;
Grey, White, Green, Blue, Purple, Orange, and last one Golden.
Along with these item grades, the quality of the item also varied based on the craftsmanship of the person who made it.
Normal, Good, Outstanding, Excellent and Masterpiece.
Raydon had discovered the worst of all of this, because the only difference between grey-grade items and ordinary non-system items was that they were only slightly more durable. They didn't have any skills.
He quickly put the shoes on his feet. Well, the item's quality was the worst it could be, but he couldn't complain about it right now.
He then took the glove, and the system texts reappeared in front of him.
[Glove]

''At least this one is useful. ''Although he didn't seem overly pleased, he believed it was better than nothing.
As Raydon examined his loot and the extra 8 experience points he had gained from the moles, he smiled.
His eyes caught a glimpse of the nearly-decapitated forest wolf. His eye twitched briefly before he kicked a nearby mole in rage. ''You scumbags, that was my precious loot. ''
The moles nearly dismembered the wolf's body, which he had carried with him all this time and refused to leave behind.
He felt his anger subside as he watched the mole's body fly through the air, but when he regained his composure, he took a brief pause before chasing after the mole he had just kicked into the air. ''Wait, you're now my precious loot too, you can't go anywhere. ''
