Chapter 335 Unworthy
The task of controlling his aura became extremely challenging for Raydon when he was confronted with a large number of possible targets in the area. On the other hand, the 110 spirit stats that he possessed enhanced his awareness and focus, which enabled him to exert control over the aura as it rapidly spread within an astonishingly short amount of time. This newfound mastery allowed him to navigate around the cats without causing any harm, fulfilling his objective without a hitch.
''Heh, that was easier than I thought... Fuck you.'' Raydon was about to revel in his accomplishment when a sudden sense of danger prompted him to roll to the side.
*Hssss*
As he rose to his feet, Raydon witnessed the green mucus rapidly dissolving the spot where he had stood mere moments ago, his teeth gritting in frustration.
''You bastard, that could have killed me.''
With his chain swirling above his head, intensified by the Dominion Aura, Raydon prepared to launch his attack.
In the meantime, the black aura that was emanating from his body had already made its way to the Region Boss, but it was clear that it was not doing enough damage to be considered significant. It is only natural that Raydon's aura, by itself, would not be sufficient to overcome such a powerful adversary.
However, the same did not hold true for Rusty Chain, the attack-type skill empowered by it.
As Raydon gave his chain a few good swings to build momentum, he kept an eye out for the Region Boss, who was getting ready to launch another attack. He was adamant about not waiting any longer, so he hurled his chain with all of his strength towards the creature's body.
The swing allowed the chain to be extended several meters, at which point it was wrapped around the massive mucus body and tightly ensnared it. The region boss was quickly consumed by the black flames that were released by the chain, which caused it to catch fire like gasoline.
"Nice. It seems fire is your weakness," Raydon remarked with a chuckle, observing the region boss consumed by the intense flames.
He was taken aback by an unexpected message from the system as he was anticipating the death of the boss to take a little bit longer.
"Huh? That was fast," he muttered in surprise.

''It looks like I will not be able to take anything from it. Man… Fire is so destructive. I will need to find other elements soon.'' Realizing that he wouldn't be able to obtain loot from the burning remains, Raydon expressed his disappointment and contemplated finding alternative elemental options in the future to avoid damaging his loot.
Every time he used his black flames in his previous matches, he was also doing damage to his loot. Even if it did not completely destroy them, it would cause their value to drop by dealing damage, and because of this, he made the decision to find a solution for this problem later on.
Raydon sat down on the ground and waited while observing the body of the Region Boss being consumed by flames. Even though it had been almost two hours since the match had already begun, he decided to hold off on continuing until his health points had fully recovered.
Additionally, he was waiting for them to arrive, under the assumption that Nysora and the others were also on their way. It was possible for cats to carry relatively lightweight items like expansion orbs, but it would be very difficult for them to move around while carrying dead monsters, so he could not rely on them to transport his loot.
"That redhead looks pretty fast," Raydon remarked as he noticed someone approaching him with his recovered eyesight.
It was the quickest of the battle maids, Nysora, who was making her way towards him.
''Young master? Are you okay? '' The question was posed by Nysora as she swiftly approached with a different set of daggers than the one she had just given to Raydon.
There was no mistaking the concern that was written all over her face as she took in the sight of Raydon's body, which was covered in blood and strewn with wounds. But the real source of her unease was the dozens of spirit beasts that were surrounding Raydon.
Nysora approached slowly while holding her daggers in both hands and was prepared to attack at any moment. The intriguing aspect, however, is that these spirit beasts, which she had identified as enemies, did not move at all while they lay motionless on the ground. In addition to that, some of them were even dozing off, and others were engaged in a game of tag with one another while oblivious to their surroundings.
'Where did they come from? ' Nysora wondered.
"Don't worry, they're my loot pets," Raydon reassured her, noticing the confusion and questioning expression on her face.
''Loot pets? '' As a result of seeing him respond in such a relaxed and carefree manner, Nysora felt relieved as well. However, her confusion was not entirely gone.
As Nysora inched closer and closer, she took a closer look at these cats and noticed that the majority of them had a variety of items sitting next to them.
In spite of how difficult it was for her to believe, Nysora was able to read the system messages and figure out that Raydon had defeated a group of 10 enemies and that these items belonged to the group. But the thing that baffled her the most was how Raydon managed to conjure up such a large number of spirit beasts when she was well aware that his dimensional storage could not possibly accommodate them all.
"Just wait a few more minutes, young master. Feline and Elysia are on their way," After putting her thoughts on Raydon's incomprehensible and baffling abilities to the side, Nysora approached him and respectfully bowed to him before speaking.
'I was late. ' While she was waiting for his response, Nysora thought.
She had thrown herself at his side with all of her strength, holding out the hope that she could be of some assistance. However, when she arrived, she found out that the battle had been over for quite some time, and she felt a pang of helplessness when she saw how badly Raydon had been injured.
And now the absence of a healing skill to aid him made her feel inadequate in fulfilling her duty as a battle maid.
'I have failed in my mission as a battle maid, ' Nysora thought, her head bowing even lower in profound disappointment.
It was beginning to weigh heavily on her shoulders that she was unable to fulfill the purpose for which she had been raised and trained.
Nysora had regarded Raydon as weak and useless for what seemed like an eternity, believing him to be unfit for the Demugen family. However, in this moment of deep disappointment, a profound realization washed over her.
She was the one who had deteriorated to the point where she was useless, weak, and no longer worthy of serving her young master.
