Chapter 161: Run
Chapter 161: Run
*A slight mistake I just realized while writing. In chapter 153, Hana is handed the Angry Mask, not the crying one. That is why in the last chapter, they were talking about the angry mask. I can't believe that I made that mistake but it also makes sense given that I was super stressed when writing due to IRL things so I apologize for that and any other confusions that it might have caused.*
Hana looked over at the road and sighed, "I'm sure that there will be people ahead of me Especially Scar" She recalled the man who called himself her Master. It seemed like those two knew each other properly.
She turned and looked at her phone and placed a location on the map, it was a chemical factory. She turned on the car and spoke, "I'll have to work quickly now, can't delay anything, or else It might be like last time where I just reach there when everything ends." Hana was very serious about this. She wanted to be the one who took down the scientist, she didn't want anyone else to take him down.
Alex looked at the train and sighed, "I wonder how I'll do this the most obvious choice seems to be, just walk out and it doesn't seem like Imani or Midnight are here right now so I could just get on the train, go to the reception and just walk out I hope it just works that way." Alex formed the most simple plan.
As soon as Alex reached the reception, He saw Someone familiar on the couch, It was Rachel! He didn't want to get any attention on himself so Alex tried to slowly exit the hotel however, Alex felt that Rachel had already spotted him.
Rachel looked at Alex and an Instant smile formed on her face, followed by a huge frown. She turned to Alex and spoke, "Where do you think that you're going?" She seemed to see into Alex and could instantly tell what he was planning.
Alex scratched his head and shrugged, "I guess for a run. I'm in a hurry so I'll have to dip!" Alex said as he jumped out of the hotel doors and made a run for it. Rachel, who was slightly surprised by Alex's actions shook her head and sighed, "I can't stop him so all I can do is just hope he is okay Well that and report this incident to Midnight To think that she guessed that Alex would do this, I can't underestimate her at all." Rachel expected to see Alex run from the hotel.
After a few minutes, Midnight exited the elevator doors and looked at Rachel. She sighed and spoke, "I guess you can't stop a dumbass from doing stupid things But you also can't force one into being caged up all the time I don't understand why Ryan was giving these strict instructions especially when he knows that the last time he did this to the same person, They just disappeared"
Midnight sighed and continued, "Well, I guess this time, Alex has changed a lot. He seemed to be more aggressive about what he wants so unlike last time, where it felt like Alex was taken away, This time he chose to run from the front door. Something that only a few would do from the association Luckily, he has his big sister who looks out for him as the one in charge of looking over him. So I let him go " She seemed to smile before sitting next to Rachel.
"However, It was surprising that you let him go so easily I was half expecting you to just yell at him and tell him to stop or think about it at least once. Guess you saw that Alex needed to be a little bit freer."
Alex turned to the hotel and stopped running. 'It seemed like you were given the opportunity to run by your friends. That's some good friends that you have however, I do find it weird that the brat Ryan would speak of forcing you into your room again like a prisoner well That doesn't matter, now that you're out, I'll tell you where to go. My powers are limited but I can still use some of it to find us a place which has less population and so we can jump into training!' Hades spoke.
Alex nodded and followed hades instructions to go to a remote area. He didn't have a vehicle so Alex had to walk all his way however, It did work to his advantage as The people trying to stop him couldn't find him as easily while on foot.
After more than four hours of walking, Alex reached an abandoned mine. He looked around to see that he was very far from the city to only see the glowing lights from it and nothing else. Alex turned towards the mine and spoke, "Do I need to go inside or not?"
"No Not here. We are close though. I feel that there are people close by however, I don't know where. So It's safe to assume that there are people in the mine, most likely, Homeless or criminals" Hades slowly explained.
"Where do I got then?" Alex asked.
"Just continue on forward, There is something weird about this place so I would like to be closer to it However, don't be too close. I'd say stay two kilometers or so far away from it AS you get stronger, I will regain some more power myself so I might be able to scan that weird feeling soon. So it's better to stick close. Now, go, we're in the desert now so I don't think there will be many people around to even spot the gates The system seems to have the ability to block off the energy so you will be invisible when fighting in it!" Hades told Alex.
Alex nodded and ran towards what looked to be an abandoned city. Hades didn't feel anyone close by so Alex was safe to use the system to call waves and not worry about anything at all.
