Hikari: Rise Of The Weapons Master

Chapter 64 The Noble House Of Griffins [Part 2]

"So, how are we going to get inside though? I don't think that we can visit a noble house whose head is a count. We need an appointment for that." Emma pointed out as Zack nodded.

"But in this case, we have the perfect excuse for going ahead and checking their house. Due to the explosion I had created, the duke would have definitely ordered a thorough search of all the noble houses."

"You have the clothes of the duke's soldiers with you?" Emma asked with narrowed eyes even though she had a feeling that Zack already had those.

"Correction, I have the clothes of the kingdom's army. Even though they are four dukes in the kingdom, they have to bow down to Jonathan. All the soldiers had to wear the uniform of the designed by the royal family." He then raised an eyebrow.

"And since you were in the prison, you managed to get those clothes from there." Emma finished as Zack smiled and took out two sets of clothes from his inventory.

The clothes included a set of white clothes with a red-colored sun pattern on the center of the shirt. The last remaining item was a red chest plate and with those clothes, one could look exactly like a soldier.

However, all of these uniforms were made at the same place and had a special formation embedded in them.

With the help of the formation, the people governing the various regions of the kingdom could verify the uniform to be real or fake.

The duo moved to the same hotel where Zack had logged out a few days ago. But this time, the receptionist didn't know who he was and he had to book a new room.

'In this way, I will never be suspected to be that person.' After going to the room, the duo changed into their new clothes.

Now the question was how would they leave the place without anyone seeing them.

"Let's use echo detection for this." Emma suddenly suggested as she realized that the echo detection could actually be used to hear minute sounds that human ears couldn't hear.

Using this method, they would be able to leave the place through the backdoor easily and no one would know that they were there.

"The receptionist is definitely going to get ideas," Zack muttered as he and Emma quickly equipped the clothes. After that, they exited the room and carefully stood in front of the door.

"Echo Location," Emma muttered as her ears could suddenly hear the sound of Zack's heart beating.

No one was walking in their direction or was even remotely close to reaching near them. They set out of the room quickly and moved to the first floor before finding the employees section.

This time, Zack was the one who used the skill and the two of them entered the place.

It had the hotel's laundry, kitchen, and a whole lot of other stuff despite no staff member being there.

Zack and Emma quickly moved to the other end of the place where they found the door leading to outside the hotel.

Just to make sure that no one was nearing them, Enma used the skill once again. And this time, she was able to hear a few people walking outside the door.

[ Five people are about to walk inside in a few minutes. ]

[ Then I have an idea of what I should do. ]

Even though Zack knew that his next move was very risky, there was no other way for him to make sure that no trace was left behind.

"Spirit Spear Chastiefol, second form, Daggers of Sky." Instead of a hundred and fifty daggers, only five of them appeared in front of the duo.

Zack then opened the door by a crack and sent the daggers out through the bottom. They fell behind the necks of the people and hit them with blinding speed.

The five people hit the ground at the same time as the duo moved out. They then dragged the five people inside and left them on the floor before moving towards the Griffin house.

Zack had already managed to get a hold of a map of the city and was now using it to navigate himself and Emma towards the house, or rather, the mansion of the Griffin family.

Instead of moving through alleys, the duo were moving in plain sight and no one dared to interrupt them.

"I heard that the duke ordered the soldiers to search all the noble house. Do you think that where they are going?"

With the use of echo detection, Zack confirmed that his plan had worked. The duke had just done the most sensible yet predictable thing one could and the teenager had benefited from it.

After a few minutes, the duo finally reached the entrance of the Griffin house to see a squadron of guards wearing the same uniform as them.

"So, what are we gonna do now? Say that we are from the capital?" Emma asked while raising an eyebrow as Zack looked surprised.

"Looks like you are a mind reader now." He said with a wink as the two of them moved towards the squadron.

The guards were arguing with a man who looked as though he was in his thirties. He had hair the color of a lion's man and a mustache of the same color to go along with it.

"I don't care whether the duke sent you or god did. I will not let you explore my family's house unless you are here by the direct orders of the king of the Eizenburgh kingdom." The person spoke in a cold voice which matched the aura being radiated by him.

[ This feels as though it's a little bit scripted. I mean, we just arrived here and there is already an opening for us. ] Emma pointed out as Zach smiled and nodded.

p [ Somethings have to be scripted in such games because they need to make the plot move forward. However, this is not scripted since people here believe that they will only bow down to those stronger than themselves. ]

The duo then went near the squadron and did a small cough. This was the best way to get the attention of both the man and the squadron leader.

"We are here from the capital on the orders of his majesty. We heard of the incident that had taken place at the duke's residence and his majesty thinks that its best to search all of t the houses in the area." Zack announced in a monotone voice as the man frowned.

The Griffin house was one of the ten biggest noble houses in the entire kingdom due to their control over the mines.

Due to this, the man also had the ability to see whether the two soldiers in front of him were from the royal capital or not.

"So you are not lying." The man said in a low tone as he verified that the two soldiers were indeed from the royal capital. "You can go ahead and come inside then."

He stood aside and gestured for Zack and Emma to move inside but for some reason, they stood rooted to their spots.

"I think you should know that we can see through the shield you have placed around the house." Zack suddenly took out a knife and threw it at the man.

But when the dagger was inches away from the man's face, the sharp smell of lightning burning suddenly filled the air as a bolt of lightning struck the dagger and burnt it to shreds.

"Hmm, never knew that guards could see through such things." The man muttered with an interested look as he stared at the duo.

"We know a whole lot of things and can do a whole lot of things many people can't," Zack said with a wink as he took Eirias behind his back.

[ The opponent has been identified to be from the light side… ]

[ Error has occurred. ]

[ The opponent is being reevaluated. ]

[ Opponent has been identified to be from the dark side. ]

'So my guess was correct.' Zack sighed as he brought the brightly burning sword in front of him.

The blue flames added a dangerous change to the atmosphere.

"Nice to meet you, Alek Griffin, the general of the cult of the dark lord in the Eizenburgh kingdom."
