Hikari: Rise Of The Weapons Master

Chapter 94 White Lotus Swan

'Wait, only a minute has passed since I left?' Zack's jaw fell down when he saw that he had only spent a single minute inside the desert when it had been 7 days for him.

That was when he remembered that the name of the desert had been 'desert of mirages' which could also mean that what he had seen hallucination.

'Well, I can do the second phase without any worries now.' But before he could choose to go through the second phase, Lisa sent him a message asking him to meet up with her.

However, her message made Zack sigh before leaving the guild.

The reason?

[ Zack, meet me at the Drunk Ale bar at the beginning of Havenjill city. I'll give you the strip dance I promised hehe. ]

If Zack hadn't known about Lisa from his past life, there was a very good chance that she would have been able to make him succumb to her charms sooner or later.

As weird as it sounded, some people found virtual reality to be better than their real lives so getting pleasure inside the game was not a foreign idea to them.

Zack immediately asked Daedalus to help him go to the city but this time, the eagle refused.

'There is something important I have to take care of.' The eagle flew away in front of Zack and the latter could tell that it was something urgent.

After all, Daedalus had vanished in the blink of an eye.

'Guess I'll just travel on a flying beast available for nobles.' He then moved towards the outer edges of the capital where commoners could rent our beats to travel.

However, any noble above the rank of knight could use the service for free while Knights had to pay half the price.

"Hello sir Viscount, to what do I owe the pleasure of meeting you?" The person sitting at the counter knew how to butter up nobles for more money.

All he had to do was praise them a little and they would drop him a tip. Unfortunately, Zack was easily able to resist the charms.

"I want a beast to take me to Havenjill city."

The person soon realized that Zack wasn't about to give him anything. He then clicked his tongue before deciding to give Zack one of the worst beasts in the place.

After all, the receptionist had been granted the title of a knight.

"Then please follow me." The person stood up from his desk and lead Zack to the back area of the shop.

It was situated in such a place that after choosing the beast, one could easily take them to the sky.

Since the flying beasts were also trained for this specific task, they were easily able to fly with amateurs on their backs.

However, the moment Zack stepped into the beats dormitories, the entire place grew silent.

Neither the receptionist nor Zack understood what was happening as hundreds of pairs of eyes stared at Zack.

Suddenly, a white graceful swan landed in front of Zack. The swan eyed him for a few seconds before bowing down.

All of a sudden, every single flying beast in the place bowed down to him which made the receptionist look at Zack with shrunk pupils.

Did he just offend a very important figure?

"Sir Viscount, this swan here is the most elegant and powerful beast in the entire place. She wants you to ride her."

Zack immediately noticed the change of tone in the receptionist's voice but wasn't bothered by it.

He was instead checking the details of the swan.

[ White lotus swan (Level 20): White lotus swans are supposed to be the epitome of peace. If they meet someone favored by Buddha, it is said that they will swear their life and loyalty to them. ]

Looking at the details, Zack wondered whether he should go ahead and take the swan to Neji.

'Maybe after confirming a few things, I'll let the two of them meet. Maybe the swan would be able to identify his true potential.'

Zack then moved forward and raised his right hand forward. The swan bent its head forward as though asking for a pat.

Zack smiled at the swan's actions as he gently patted its head.

"Does it have a name?" Zack asked the receptionist who shook his head.

"Naming it means it's owned by someone. I can't do th-"

Before he could finish his sentence, Zack cut him off.

"From today onwards, you'll be called Silvie." The swan's body glowed thrive before turning back to normal as it rubbed its head against Zack's neck.

When he opened the swan's information, he saw that it had turned into a she.

A smile appeared on his face as Zack decided it was the perfect time to leave.

"Now, we'll be taking our leave. Let's go, Silvie." In front of the receptionist, Zack took the white swan to the top of the place and the duo set off.

As for the receptionist, he was still wondering what had happened. He pinched his cheeks thrice to realize that he was not dreaming.

'My most prized beast just got stolen. I'll fcking sue that viscount.' The receptionist started forming a plan to sue Zack.

And with that, the receptionist set off towards the registration hall to file a complaint about the viscount.

As for the black-haired boy, he was calmly flying with his new beast companion.

It had been a sudden decision on his part but Zack had felt as though something was wrong in the place.

Call it a gut feeling or not, Zack decided to name the swan and fly away. Now that he and Sylvie were far away from the face, it was time to get some answers.

'Sylvie, can you tell me what kind of place that is and how you are treated?" Zack asked as he and Sylvie were currently flying over the forest around the capital.

'As you wish master,' The swan's voice sounded odd as though she was speaking with a weird accent but that was expected from a beast. 'We were fed once a week and were only allowed to come out of our cages when someone chose us.'

Zack's expression suddenly turned grim as he realized that the situation was worse than his feeling.

So while flying towards Lisa, Zack managed to get a whole lot of information from Sylvie.

And none of it was good.
