Chapter 110: Lin Anxin probably had to face the consequences of her action after her return. (1)
I know one of the two on the HSAU team is Sheng Xiuyan. Who is the other person? Someone asked.
The person next to them frowned and thought about it long and hard and finally shook his head. I dont know. I dont know them.
But both of them are fast.
On the screen, under the HSAU row, both numbers 1 and 2, regardless of whether they were going from top down or bottom up were very fast.
Even Snake [in the video game] wouldnt go that fast. Someone grumbled.
Speaking of, I have heard of the famous Sheng Xiuyan. Since when did HSAU have another mighty valedictorian like that?
I think its a girl. They had two girl participants this time. All they had to do were to look over at the wait area and they would be able to figure out who the other participant was.
Oh right. The girl is super pretty.
Eh? Whys theres a blank dot? asked someone as they pointed at the screen. All of the others attention also returned from the gossips back to the dots on the screen.
Did they miss one?
Or they just skipped it altogether, said someone after thinking about it.
Skipping was a very good strategy.
This was a game on problem-solving. It was better off to skip the ones that they couldnt solve or not certain about than wasting time.
Oh, I see! said someone, enlightened.
Looking back over at team #16 now, they were already way behind team #17 and had already spent a few minutes on one of the problems.
Which school is team #16?
Liming, I think.
Liming? I heard that students from Liming ran into students from HSAU and they even had a wager on which school would score higher.
Welp, this is not looking good for Liming.
Old Mr. Gu! Look! Is that No. 1 in HSAU going even faster than they were earlier?!
Before they knew it, everyone was already counting the time it took the two participants from HSAU to solve their problems.
And another one, and another one

Gu Shao, too, was watching the competition from the control room at the same time.
Nevertheless, while the others were watching the speed that the problems were being completed, Gu Shao was watching the live view of the venue where Gu Xi was.
Director Li walked over and handed Gu Shao a cup of tea.
Have some tea, Professor Gu. Director Li, too, looked over at the HSAU area on the display.
Just a little while ago, when Gu Shao wasnt paying attention, Director Li had checked with all of her friends in her contact list and, finally, an old friend of hers also in education told her about Professor Gus daughter.
Everybody thought that someone like Gu Shao would still be single. Nobody expected him to have a daughter that age.
Your daughter is doing very well, Professor Gu, said Director Li in a fawning manner as she looked Gu Xis progress.
It wasnt entirely fawning.
As Gu Xis speed and accurate rate were, indeed, very impressive.
Sure enough, the child of a boss was no ordinary individual, thought Director Li to herself.
Shes alright, said Gu Shao nonchalantly. He didnt have a lot of emotions on him nor did he voice suggested that he was praising her.
Oh, Professor Gu, you are too humble. Director Li smiled. Then, she couldn't help but asked, Which after-school program does your daughter attend?
She was debating whether to send her child to some after-school program to boost their performance as well.
No after-school program, said Gu Shao. Then, after a slight pause, he added sincerely, Theres no need for after-school program. The schools syllabus is sufficient.
Director Li was taken aback a little. For real? No need for after-school program?
She didnt believe him.
Thats because your daughter is very smart, said Director Li.
Gu Shao did not disagree with her this time.
She does alright, said Gu Shao, being neither humble nor boastful.
That being said, after a little pause, Gu Shao added, She get that from me.
There seemed to have been hint of a smile on Gu Shao when he said that.
Director Li,
That was like an 88-pound person saying, What can I say? I just cant gain weight.
That was overly boastful.
