I have Nine Lives

Chapter 162: Finishing the absorptions (1)

Chapter 162: Finishing the absorptions (1)

Felix's muscles made popping sounds as he flexed them, and he felt the energy from his stomach going directly into his muscles.

A deep fire in his belly was activated as his muscles inflated and his strength reached another level. However, he quickly cut off the connection, and his strength returned to normal along with his muscular structure.

This was also a new ability that he got from eating the duo. It was full control over his body tissues and organs as they all became rubber-like.

Thus he would be able to inflate them without any problems, increasing his strength temporarily, and he could even increase his blood flow speed.

Which would result in an overall boost in strength and speed at the same time.

He would also take less to no damage from blunt attacks, but he wouldn't be immune to lightning attacks as he wasn't literally made of rubber, like a certain pirate captain.

Felix cracked his neck and whole new body as he slowly adapted to it, then extended his senses once more, there weren't many targets left on the planet that he needed to take care of, but he left the hardest ones for last.

The strongest ones and the farthest ones from his current location.

There were 3 left, and all of them were at different parts of the planet. He decided to start with the weakest one, but also the farthest.

Felix's flight speed had increased marginally after he had evolved into his human form. Combined with the thrusters from the armor, he easily got to the location of the weakest target in around half an hour.

Even though the breathing techniques that the cats were able to employ didn't work on his humanoid body anymore, that didn't mean he didn't know how to use and adapt them to his human form.

He still knew how to use stealth, but the battle techniques weren't useable anymore. However, it wasn't like he needed them anymore anyways.

His arrival was done in stealth, and the target was currently creating a defensive structure to defend itself from Felix's wrath.

The target was an octopus 5 meters tall that was currently creating a circular room made of hardened rock that it spit its ink on. Turning it deep black and shiny.

From what Felix could observe, the defensive structure seemed pretty hard at first glance, but he didn't come in contact with it, so he wasn't 100% sure if he could break it or not but considering the octopus was still outside it and reinforcing it. He still had enough time to get rid of the octopus before it could enter.

Felix's stealth techniques reached an apex, and even though he wasn't at the peak anymore due to him not having the cat form. He could still fool anyone that wasn't extremely stronger than him. He thought that even Vangar would have a hard time identifying his location anymore.

The octopus was in the unknown as Felix approached it from behind, his hand made into a strike position as he drove it through the bulbous giant head of the octopus.

Blue blood immediately stained the ground below them as the octopus started to squirm and screech its lungs out.

But it just ended up like others, it was the weakest one remaining, and its power wasn't anything special. It may have survived for a bit longer if Felix didn't catch it outside the defensive structure, but it would have still died in the end.

Felix wondered what kind of special ability would he get from eating it, so he went directly to work as he dug in. Starting with the tentacles. Blue blood staining his lips as he ate until nothing was left behind.

This time he didn't use the armor's needle anymore as he tried to eat with his new body.

He wanted to see and feel if anything was different.

He certainly tasted different textures compared to before, and he felt that his teeth were scraping and chewing the meat more easily than before, but he wasn't sure why though.

After he finished the octopus, he could feel something changing inside him as multiple arms grew out of his torso and his armor morphing accordingly.

He didn't see the benefit of having multiple arms as they retracted back into his body, but maybe they would be useful in the future.

Felix shook his head as he looked at the hardened hideout and shot a punch towards it.

He wanted to see how hard the defensive structure that the octopus had created was.

The punch that went to the hardened dome-like structure was immediately deflected as if he hit a gigantic rubber ball.

The ink that the octopus had spawned had created an elastic exterior to the hard rocks that were used as the foundation.

Felix found the mixture of minerals and ink to be rather interesting as he increased the strength in his punches, only for them to be continuously deflected... it seemed that things would have taken a rather strange turn if he didn't catch the octopus off guard.

But it didn't matter anymore as he stopped attacking the structure and left, flying towards another location.

There were just 2 targets left, and he needed to take care of them.

His speed was immense as he went towards the second to last target.

He broke through the sound barrier as a small shockwave released itself while he flew.

It was time he forsook stealth for the first time because he could sense that the aura of the enemy was flaring extremely high, showing that he knew he would come, and from its high intensity, he realized that this would be a deadly fight.

It was a different sensation than before, and he found it strange he didn't recognize such a strong aura while he searched around... maybe he was hiding, or maybe he was preparing to unleash his full power?

It mattered not, as he wasted the best time to attack him, now that he was at his full power, all he needed to do was fight.

Felix dropped to the ground in a superman pose as he created a crater below him, a voice could be heard coming from ahead that said:

"It seems you are different from what I sensed before... you are something strange..."

Felix's ears perked up as he looked in front of him and saw a 3 meters tall abomination.

His guts were hanging out of his body, and his rotten teeth were obviously showing as he opened his mouth to talk, bulbous eyes of different sizes were analyzing Felix's body. He was rather bulky and fat at the same time, and there was a headless corpse behind him which radiated the strongest aura that Felix felt... however, he still felt that aura in a different direction even now.

The abomination didn't bother explaining the corpse that stood behind him as he launched himself at Felix with full power. His hanging guts started to expunge a noxious and poisonous gas that quickly converged to 50 kilometers around them, creating a deadly domain.

This domain inhibited Felix's strength, but it didn't affect him any other way as the poison wasn't strong enough to do anything to him.

This made the abomination narrow its disproportionately sized eyes as it lunged at Felix at speeds that you wouldn't think be possible with such a body.

Felix lunged as well as their fists met in the middle, creating a sonic boom that made all of the surroundings tremble, even the planet itself moved as if an earthquake was happening.

The duo's strength had reached a level that even the generals on Felix's planet never dreamed of, and Felix was still only at the green aura level!

Felix didn't say anything as his body was covered by lightning. His armor being enhanced as well.

His skin started to turn a tinge of pink as his blood flow increased to high speeds. He didn't want to lengthen this fight much, so he used all of his strengthening abilities at once.

Felix's body disappeared and then appeared in front of the abomination as his fist went through his opened stomach, and he grabbed his guts out, ripping them away from his stomach.

Then he threw them away as he felt a sizzling sensation on his armor. While his body wouldn't get damaged, it seemed his armor was weaker.

Felix ignored the sizzling of the armor as his fists started to move at quick speeds striking the abomination's chest multiple times, creating dents in his body and skeleton as the thing slowly broke apart.

It seemed the being wasn't at its full power, potential, it seemed rather brittle at first glance, and it could even be said to be weak.

It was a disappointing fight, and the moment the thing started to break apart, it transformed into ashes and disappeared thoroughly without letting Felix absorb anything from it.

The corpse that was behind the abomination also disappeared as if it was never there. And the aura that was located in a different direction started to fluctuate and even disappeared afterward!

Felix didn't know how to make head or tails about this. What did all of this even mean?

He wanted to contact Vangar, but the AI of the armor didn't respond to him anymore, and if he took a better look at it. He realized that the armor broke down and all of its functions ceased, besides being a hunk of junk that protected his body, which was actually stronger than the armor itself.

Felix sighed. What was this abominations plan?
