Chapter 11 - 11 - Not Immortal?
Chapter 11: - Not Immortal?
Amelia, carrying the letter from Victoria, skillfully navigated the rooftops of the mansion. With the agility of an experienced assassin, she jumped from one rooftop to another, her movements swift and silent. Her mission was to deliver the letter to Victoria's father, dispatched by him to fulfill any of Victoria's needs.
Continuing her rooftop journey, Amelia moved quickly and quietly towards the city where Victoria's father was located within the Everhartia state. Despite the hour of running, which might have been tiring for most, it was a trivial task for Amelia, one of the most skilled assassins under Victoria's father's command.
Victoria's father sat in his room, the window open to the night. As the full moon cast its glow, a shadow appeared on the windowsill - it was Amelia, the skilled assassin sent by Victoria's father himself. He recognized her presence immediately, understanding that she had come to deliver an urgent message from his beloved daughter.
"Master, I bring a letter sent by Your Highness," Amelia announced respectfully as she presented the letter to Victoria's father.
He accepted the letter from Amelia's hands and then gave her a nod, silently dismissing her from his presence.
He began to read the letter, and as he finished, a storm of fury brewed within him. Discovering that the assassin he had dispatched had been killed, evident from the sword wound in his back, ignited his anger to a blaze.
"By the gods, it was my fault to entrust such a critical task to an inexperienced assassin. I believed that eliminating Sebastian would be a straightforward task for him," He muttered to himself in frustration.
"I must ascertain the identity of the one who thwarted my assassin. If it was someone associated with the Duke's faction, it could spell trouble for my daughter. I need to ensure that the blame doesn't fall on my daughter, " he thought, his mind racing with the implications of the situation.
"Time to take action," He muttered to himself, a steely resolve taking over his features as he considered the steps he needed to take to safeguard his daughter's position and reputation.
Meanwhile in Dark Forest.
Following Duke's orders, the Knights of Everhartia set out on a mission to locate and eliminate the bat, Bong. Equipped with a skilled tracker among them, they embarked into the Dark Forest. This tracker was adept at tracing individuals using their mana signature, and unfortunately for Bong, the traces of his mana were inadvertently left on Sebastian's neck.
These were the Knights of Everhartia, a select group personally chosen and trained by Duke himself. They were no ordinary knights; their prowess was exceptional. The Captain leading them held the rank of 5th in the entire Kingdom of Eldoria.
He was skilled enough to engage in sword fighting on par with Duke Everhart himself. Having known Duke since childhood, he had always aspired to become his personal Knight Captain. His devotion to Duke's orders was unwavering. Even if it meant eradicating all the bats in the Dark Forest, he would not return without killing the bat who harmed the Sebastian.
"I've detected the presence of the bat. He's approximately five miles away," the tracker informed the Knight Captain.
"Excellent job. I will locate and apprehend him at any cost. There's no time to waste. Let's move out immediately," the Knight Captain commanded with determination, his sense of duty and loyalty driving him forward.
As they ventured deeper into the forest, they encountered numerous monsters. However, in the face of the resolute Captain, these creatures stood no chance. With precision and skill, he eliminated every monster that dared to cross their path, leaving no room for error.
Meanwhile, inside his beloved cave.
"Hmm, time to do some more training. My belly's full, and it's time to focus on leveling up my new skills," Bong mused, his determination to enhance his abilities clear.
He dedicated hours to the task of leveling up his skills, pushing himself to the brink of exhaustion. Lost in his training, he remained unaware that danger was silently closing in on him.
"Status, Let's see how much it leveled up " Bong commanded the System

"Great, some progress. Now I'm tired and out of MP. I need some rest. Time to hang out in the cave," Bong muttered to himself, acknowledging his achievements and realizing his need for rest.
The Captain and his Knights had arrived outside the cave. Bong, who had been resting inside, suddenly awoke from his slumber, his senses tingling with awareness of the presence outside.
Using his 'Sonic Sense,' he extended his perception beyond the cave's entrance. His senses picked up on the auras of twelve individuals, one of which emanated a formidable and fear-inducing presence that sent shivers down his spine. Realizing that the only option was to flee, he understood that the Knights were stationed outside the cave.
"Wait, who are they? Oh, of course, the Duke's guards. Darn, I shouldn't have harmed the Duke's son. I knew this would happen. Duke will surely send the army. I guess I should eliminate him; the outcome would be the same," Bong muttered to himself, weighing his options and the inevitable consequences of his actions.
"And I'm also out of MP. I can only see one option: I'll use my 'Shadow Stealth' and 'Dark Flight' to escape through the shadows. Thank God it's still night," Bong thought, considering his abilities and the cover of darkness to make his getaway.
"Shadow Stealth, Dark Flight," he muttered, activating both of his skills simultaneously. As he entered the shadows, utilizing the power of Dark Flight, he began to teleport through the darkness, swiftly moving away from the approaching guards.
However, he was unaware of a crucial detail – the Captain's high level. Hiding in the shadows wasn't enough to fool someone of his level. The Captain sensed Bong easily, fixing his gaze on him. With a single, swift strike, the Captain pierced Bong's heart.
"Wait... How... How could this happen? How? I can't die like this," Bong's memories flashed before his eyes as he faced the prospect of death once again. His thoughts were jumbled, and his voice trembled as he struggled to comprehend the situation.
"I... I... thought I was immortal, that I couldn't die. But this sensation, it's just like before. I suppose this is the end of this life. If there's another life waiting, I mustn't repeat the same mistakes," Bong mumbled, his voice faltering as the realization of his mortality sunk in.
"Pathetic monster. I can't believe a weak creature like him could harm the Duke's son," the Captain said with a look of disgust on his face.
