Chapter 62: New quests
"Master… Wake up, Master, it's morning," Yukio's calm voice cut through the morning haze as she knelt beside the bed, her eyes fixated on Ha Joon's face.
"Master~." She called again, her voice barely above a whisper, but ough to rouse him.
Ha Joon's eyes fluttered op, blinking away the remnants of sleep, only to be met by Yukio's cool, atttive gaze.
"Is it morning already?" Ha Joon murmured, still half-asleep.
"Yes, and you have a meeting with the Minister of Finance this morning," Yukio reminded him, moving gracefully to bring a trolley closer to the bed.
As Ha Joon sat up, she handed him a glass of water, which he took without a word, followed by a toothbrush.
"Oh, you've already scheduled the meeting?" he asked, his voice still groggy as he accepted the toothbrush.
"Yes, Master. He's already on his way here. But before that, I ran into Her Highness this morning. She oped the door for me and asked me to remind you to meet her once you've wok up." Yukio offered a small jar of buttered mints and herbs.
Ha Joon stuck the toothbrush into the jar, scooping up a gerous amount before beginning to scrub his teeth. The minty, frothy substance filled his mouth as he pondered Yukio's words.
'So she stayed with me all night?* Ha Joon chuckled inwardly, recalling Artoria's surprising dedication.
'Impressive, she managed to give me a handjob without breaking character.' Smiling, he whispered to himself, "I'm the best."
With a quick, practiced motion, he spat the foam into the cup and washed it down with the water Yukio had handed him earlier.
Once done, Yukio took everything from him and placed a tray of food on his lap. On one side, a bowl of jam and sauce, on the other, dry bread and soup.
Ha Joon stared at the unappetizing meal for a momt, his mind drifting back to his old life.
'If this were my former world, I'd be eating instant noodles instead…' he thought with a wry smile. 'I was poor like that. So ev though this looks trashy, I'll be thankful and just eat it.'
He grabbed a slice of bread and took a big bite. Meanwhile, Yukio moved to the wardrobe, selecting Ha Joon's clothes for the day.
With a faint hum, Ha Joon took another bite, swallowing it down before speaking.
"Yukio."
"Yes, Master?" Yukio turned to face him.
"Remind me to give you a couple of cooking recipes next time so you can hand them over to the head chef," Ha Joon said, his tone casual but sincere.
"Hai, I'll be sure to remember that," Yukio replied with a slight bow.
"Alright th." Ha Joon placed the tray on the bed, feeling a bit more ergized. "Let's start the day, shall we?"
"I've laid out your clothes, Master. Please go have your bath," Yukio said, placing the neatly folded garmts on the bed.
A deadpan expression crossed Ha Joon's face as he groaned, "Do I have to? The water these days is ridiculously cold."
Yukio's expression softed, but her tone remained firm. "You are an important person now, and many look up to you. Please don't make excuses. Go take your bath."
"Fine, fine, geez," Ha Joon relted, dragging himself out of bed.
---
Finally, Ha Joon emerged from the bathroom, dressed in his official attire: black pants, a black shirt, and a suit-like jacket that matched perfectly. He looked sharp, yet the usual mischievous glint remained in his eyes.
As he walked down the hall with Yukio by his side, his mind was absorbed in the holographic floating before him.
[A new main quest has be issued.]
[Main quest: The Lonely Goddess.]

Another template hovered to his right.
[A new side quest has be issued.]
[Side quest: Practice makes perfect.]
[Objective: You need to become stronger, mtally and physically. Enter the playg and defeat at least three emies.]
[Reward: More knowledge on the opponts battled.]
Ha Joon grunted reluctantly as he read the new objectives.
'Damn this system, I get it already. I don't want to be a loser, but come on. Don't give me such tasking quests and bait me with good rewards.'
His eyes lingered on the reward under the main quest.
'I barely use my Endurance points, although they do come in handy wh I need impromptu skills. But isn't the limit 500? Or has it be increased?'
[Negative. It is still 500. Excess Endurance points will be saved in the invtory for safekeeping.]
Ha Joon sighed as he stood in front of the massive door to Artoria's workroom.
'Th why give me more points? You sound exactly like those scamming gurus back in my world. Tsk! I'll deal with you later, for now, my pretty pumpkin Artoria needs my presce… and I shall be there!'
With a flourish, he swung the door op.
"Good morning, beautiful! How are we do—"
Ha Joon's joyful expression died instantly wh he saw the sce before him: Merlin, with her face dangerously close to Artoria's, held the king by the hand. But what truly shocked him was Merlin's finger inside Artoria's mouth, a lustful smile playing on her lips, while Artoria appeared almost shy.
Ha Joon stood froz in the doorway, his mind racing as he processed what he was seeing.
Both Artoria and Merlin turned to look at him, their expressions unreadable.
"Ha—"
Gbam!
Without a word, Ha Joon slammed the door shut, his back pressing against it as panic set in.
'Ahh, it's happing to me! I'm getting cucked by my very own harem!!!' His heart raced as he clutched his chest, his skin feeling cold and clammy. 'Ah, right… hehe, I'll just move to another kingdom and start fresh… I was never NTR'd… I was never Ntrd, I was never-'
The door suddly oped, and Merlin's hand shot out, grabbing him by the shirt and yanking him back inside.
---
Inside, Ha Joon found himself face-to-face with an amused Merlin and an embarrassed Artoria.
"Ohhh, you were helping her check if she was getting sick? Hahaha, it all makes sse now," Ha Joon said, shaking his head with a sheepish smile as he took a sip of his coffee.
"Yeah, Artoria's face has be red all morning. What did you think we were doing?" Merlin asked, her tone teasing as she raised an eyebrow.
"Ohohoh, curiosity killed the goat," Ha Joon replied, attempting to deflect the question with a grin.
"It's the cat!" Merlin corrected, frustration creeping into her voice as she slapped her palm against her forehead.
"Sure, sure. Artoria, why are you looking away from me?...Eh?"
It was th that Ha Joon realized Artoria had be avoiding his gaze the tire time.
