Chapter 112: Chapter 43: War? Hah!
Lancelot didn't care about following the human's usual routine before fighting. If he weren't here, what would happen to Sumika if she survived the clash with Tyr?
Would a harsh battle await her?

His wings flapped heavily, sending his body shooting into the knights as he held his dragon-slaying sword clad in flames in one hand. Lancelot's black flames easily cut through even armour, evaporating their bodies upon contact.
The burning fires then spread and expanded explosively, engulfing one of the knights. The power that would incinerate everything had nothing but tyranny in its name.
"Gah!?"
"Arggh!!"
The knights in front began to scream as their bodies bubbled and melted—Lancelot didn't stop, his body flashing across the large vanguard like a devil, his face covered with the black visor, golden eyes glowing like a reaper of death.
Lancelot trampled the knights underfoot as though he were dancing. His movements showed no openings. Each step was filled with the will to slaughter, and every swing of his dragon-slaying sword burned anything around it to ash.
'I will save her, let her live happily and crush these humans to form my forward base!'
"Marimo! Shoot them down."
Standing quietly on the wall with a large group of half-elves and frost hares holding a mixture of longbows and shortbows, all releasing hundreds of arrows, Lancelot's body shot into the sky with a resounding roar before the human knights were bombarded with long, black arrows.
Innumerable arrows came flying from the fortress, turning into a torrential rainstorm. There was nowhere to escape. The human knights, not trampled or disarmed, raised their shields, but so many arrows with strange tips pierced their thick armours.
"Don't falter!? What do I pay you fools for!" A fat, balding male at the back of combat surrounded by heavily armoured knights and archers sat atop a warhorse. He was none other than Baron Svela.
But despite his command, his troops were already terrified of the arrows and the flying devil that killed them like insects. It felt like they were being thrown to their deaths as an army that could kill a Dragon King slaughtered them.
A knight protecting Baron Svela trembled as Lancelot landed before him, killing his horse with a flick of his wrist, the swipe splitting its skull open and revealing its greyish brain matter.
"H-H-Help!! The demon is here!"
Baron Svela fell to the ground helplessly but immediately tried to call for help as the knight next to him seemed frozen still as Lancelot was covered in black scaled armour, dark red flames and his black visor. "Oh? You are the father of that boy—maybe his mother slept around?" Lancelot asked sinisterly.
Baron Svela paled, seeing Lancelot remove his helmet while stepping on the head of the dying horse as it struggled before he stomped down and crushed its skull. His pale expression only made the bloodstains on Lancelot's scales seem more ominous.
"Y-Y-You... What do you want in my territory!?"
*Woosh*
With a single swing of his blade, Lancelot chopped the knight beside Svela with ease, making Baron Svela piss himself as Lancelot smirked sadistically. "Do you need to ask, little worm? Didn't your son try to take advantage of my Sumika?"
"T-That... That child betrayed m-m-me!" Baron Svela quickly denied Lancelot's words in fright, only making Lancelot raise his foot and slam down onto a knight's chest.
*Crunch*
"What did you say?" Lancelot asked coldly while twisting his foot and crushing the knight's rib cage and lungs, leaving Baron Svela shivering with piss running down his leg as his teeth rattled.
"... Hiii!" Baron Svela couldn't answer, unable to comprehend Lancelot's rage that he felt coming off him as he continued. "Did he betray you? Is that something a parent says when one of their children dies? Are you saying your son deserved to die because he sold your fat ass out!?" Lancelot asked, kicking Baron Svela and flipping him over.
"Please wait! There is money and gold! Take it all!" Baron Svela begged, afraid of Lancelot raising his foot, only for Lancelot to stomp down, crushing his knee with his boot as the bones shattered beneath his feet.
"Money? Gold? Why would I take such garbage trash from the likes of you?" Lancelot asked. Baron Svela screamed and begged for mercy once more. "Gyaaaaah!"
Suddenly, a gust of air passed by the baron as a male with grey hair and light armour thrust a spear towards Lancelot's body. The speed and power were quite dangerous. Even Lancelot almost lost balance as he dodged it to avoid receiving critical damage, but the man disappeared instantly, only to appear behind Lancelot and stabbed forth with his spear.
'He vanished...' Lancelot thought as he dodged to the side before blocking a sword strike using the armour scales of his forearm with sparks flickering from the blow, pushing the old man backwards as the pair stood opposite each other.
"Why is someone strong suddenly showing up?" Lancelot growled, moving his sword, creating sparks between the two blades before using his strength to send the spearman away—the man vanished again and appeared before Lancelot, swinging his spear forth.
"...You have some skill, old man..." Lancelot praised, glancing at the grey-haired man who attacked him. Not bad! He knew how to use magic to fight, and he was good at disappearing and reappearing after he did so. Lancelot couldn't feel any killing intent and malice coming from this person; instead, he saw caution and seriousness.
"Are you the one leading this demonic attack?"
"Hmm...? Demonic attack?" Lancelot tilted his head, the spear shooting past his neck, slicing the black scales with brilliant sparks. Lancelot grabbed the spear with his powerful grip, stopping the old man from pulling it back.
The old man frowned at Lancelot's action before vanishing once more, releasing his spear.
'Fast... Lancelot noted that his movement-type magic seemed superior, the pair clashing blows, sending sparks everywhere as they fought like demons in combat.
The old man had many weapons: swords, daggers, spears and even a mace. Lancelot blocked every strike, returning one of his own using his flame-clad dragon-slaying sword, aiming at the old man's heart—the grey-haired old man blocked Lancelot's strike with several barriers of wind, sending a series of blades at Lancelot, piercing his black scale armour, injuring him before jumping back.
Seeing the injuries caused by those barrier blades, Lancelot narrowed his gaze behind the black visor covering his face. 'He's got me wounded in our little exchange...'
Lancelot tried to calculate the range and speed of his enemy before he began to fight with everything he had.
The old man was faster, but there was a strange look of pain when he moved or attacked, and the window between attacks increased as the battle continued.
'Let's put out more feelers, then use my Dominus if he still troubles me.'
Taking a more offensive stance, Lancelot inched forward, as the sound of arrows and fighting behind him made him feel relieved by the loud crashing of Frost Hares stomping on human armour, the distinct thud causing his lips to curve into a wicked smile that was hidden from the old man.
He looked truly demonic at this moment.
