Chapter 412 Eternal Jade Academy

412  Eternal Jade Academy

"No problem; just try not to get into too much trouble."

"Will do."

With that, they parted ways. Azmodeus walked through the unusually shaped triangle gates of the massive city. Looking around the place when he got inside, he saw a sight that could only be described as something straight out of a retro book.

The night loomed high, while the moon hung low, with the city a sea of lights. People moved around to and fro, all of whom were of varying races, genders, and body types. The city was abuzz about a great many things, all blending with one another in order to make something similar to white noise, yet also on the level of an otherworldly ambience.

However, beyond the surface level of appearances, many things happened behind the scenes, obscured from the bubbly and lively atmosphere shown to the general populace. If one looked close enough, they would see hooded figures seamlessly sneaking through the large crowds, some handing over unknown substances, while others whispered from one ear to the next.

The lives of the people in this fantastical city were one thing, but it was the sheer grandiosity of the architecture and layout of this place that truly stood out to Azmodeus. Each part of the city was split up into layers, with each layer ascending on top of one another until eventually reaching the highest manors and castles at the top of this staircase. Yet, rather than something that looked abundantly like your typical staircase, this city had buildings that seamlessly lay over one another and worked with each other to make the whole place seem like something that actually came out of a fairytale.

"Hey! Come on now, don't lowball me with that price!"

"I don't know what you mean!"

"Let's not jest right now! We both know that 8 Grade 5 Immortal Crystals for this Immortal King Realm Spiritual Herb is absurd!"

"Sorry, but the price is set in stone! Nothing I can do about it!"

As Azmodeus strolled through the mystical city, he heard many deals go down on the side streets. Moreover, he listened to large numbers get thrown around like they were nothing. Furrowing his brows in interest, he instinctively knew that this city and the Eternal Jade Sect Palace above would be the perfect place for him to profit the most before venturing forth into the Lands Unknown.

However, for now, he was on the verge of a breakthrough into the Immortal Emperor Realm, and all he needed was one last special ingredient to supplement his breakthrough. Yet, even with the prosperity of the regular areas of the Eternal City, they just simply wouldn't have something that could help him, who had indirectly looted dozens of Immortal Gods.

But… there was somewhere in the Eternal Jade Sect that should have what he needed.

"The Eternal Jade Academy — that is where aspiring Eternal Jade Sect Members go to hone their skills and show off what they have," said Azmodeus. "And all in an attempt to become one of the lucky two who will be admitted as Eternal Jade Sect members of the next generation." n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"That is where I need to go to obtain what I want."

With that, he set off for the giant golden palace and side towers, all located at the topmost area of the Eternal City, approximately hundreds of miles away from his current location.

Meanwhile, in the Eternal Jade Academy, within the intricately decorated classrooms where the most elite students studied.

The classroom of 1-A was abuzz with noise as the high-brow students chitter-chattered with one another. All of them wore perfectly fitted uniforms, but they were lined with gold and covered in protection formations that would keep the students safe even if pinned up against an Immortal King.

One of such students sat toward the front of the class, with nearly a dozen other people talking with her. Her name was Annabelle, and she was unanimously seen as the belle of Class 1-A. Moreover, she was one of the most beautiful, if not the most beautiful, women in the entire school, likely on par with the Immortal Realm Master's daughter and the Academy Head's daughter. And that was not just in looks, but also academics and physical prowess as well.

"Have you heard about the red-haired man who not only robbed the four Dukes of the Azureflask Kingdom, but also killed one of their Immortal Generals?" asked a girl with long blonde hair and pretty eyelashes.

"Hmm?" Annabelle turned her attention to her friend, Emma. Curious, she asked, "This man is strong, huh?" To which Emma replied passionately, "Of course he is strong! But with just his feats alone, any random Immortal God would be able to beat him. So that begs the question: why did I bring him up?" She put her hand up to her face, wearing a cheeky expression.

"Well… what makes him so special?"

"Of course it's because… he's rumored to be the most handsome man to ever grace the face of the Immortal Realm!"

"..." Annabelle lightly sighed. "You really are a funny one to buy into such nonsense and take it so seriously."

Emma giggled. "I think you would change your tune if you saw the immortal portraits that depicted this man gallantly fighting the Immortal General. And even then, the ones who drew the portraits said they were unable to fully encapsulate his beauty into the painting."

Annabelle moved her silky dark purple hair behind her ear before watching everyone return to their seats with the faint footsteps of their professor echoing from outside the classroom. There was another quieter set of footsteps, but no one paid it any mind. Unluckily for Annabelle, Emma sat right next to her and was patiently waiting for her input on the matter. Sighing, Annabelle said, "If what you say is the truth, then this…"

"Azmodeus!" Emma called out.

"—This Azmodeus is definitely someone extraordinary. And as long as talking about him makes you happy, then all is good."

"Yep, yep—"
