Chapter 614: Good start
The next morning, as the sun rose, the town began to move with activity. Troops from the raging Phoenix were getting ready for the upcoming battle. There was a sense of determination and excitement in the air as the soldiers prepared for what was to come.
Rain had already explained the battle plan to them, so they knew what to expect and what was expected of them. They weren’t anxious or scared, as they had complete confidence in Rain’s ability to lead them. They trusted his strategies and were ready to follow his lead.
The troops were all geared up, their armor and weapons shining in the early morning light. They came from different backgrounds, but at that moment, they were a unified force bound by a common goal and their trust in their commander.
All the soldiers swiftly left the town, their numbers exceeding six thousand strong. Thanks to the openings Rain had strategically created in the town’s walls; it took less than five minutes for the entire force to mobilize. They moved with purpose, each unit taking its designated position as part of a well-coordinated battle formation.
The soldiers lined up, forming a formidable front line that extended for a significant distance. They were prepared for the impending conflict, determined to protect their country from the looming threat. Their training and discipline were evident as they assumed their positions with a sense of unity and purpose.
"Is everyone ready?" Rain asked. Read exclusive adventures at empire
"Yes," Terra said after she looked at their friends and they nodded.
"In that case, it is speech time," Rain said.
The warriors gathered in anticipation, eager to hear Rain’s inspiring words that typically ignited a powerful fire within them, infusing their bodies with energy and determination. Rain’s speeches had a way of making them feel like they could conquer the world. Each word was a rallying cry that stirred their souls. They braced themselves for the electrifying motivation they expected.
However, as they fixed their gaze upon Rain, they were met with a different sight. Instead of the charismatic and confident leader they were accustomed to, Rain appeared troubled. His usually resolute and determined countenance was marked by concern and uncertainty, casting a shadow over the gathered warriors.
It was clear that something weighed heavily on his mind, and the warriors couldn’t help but wonder what could be troubling their fearless leader.
"I can’t think of anything…" Rain frowned after he crossed his arms. "This first battle is different than usual, so my usual speech wouldn’t work. Maybe that is why I don’t know what to say. With that in mind, you guys will have the chance to motivate me this time. I won’t ask you guys to say anything, I will only ask you guys to show me your spirit while fighting. Are you guys ready?"
In the next moment, all the warriors took a deep breath and then filed their lungs with air and then they let out a massively powerful roar.
"WOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!"
The warriors’ roar was a deafening shout, a thunderous eruption of collective will and determination that sent shockwaves through the air. The sheer intensity of their shout reverberated through the area, so powerful that Rain and his friends felt as though their eardrums might burst from the sheer force of it.
It was a massive symphony of battle cries, a sonic wave that resonated with their unyielding fighting spirit.
As the warriors’ voices echoed across the field, the very air seemed to respond to their fervor. Vibrations pulsed through the atmosphere, making it appear as though the very essence of the battlefield was trembling in awe of their unwavering resolve.
It was a sight and sound that sent shivers down the spines of all who witnessed it, a testament to the unbreakable unity and determination of the assembled warriors.
"I guess this is a good enough for a start… let’s go," Rain said.
After turning around, Rain used Impulse and then his friends followed. Before long, the warriors did the same all in unison and covered one hundred meters in the blink of an eye.
In the end, to make them even more fearsome, Rain decided to reach his warriors the three techniques that turned him pretty much into a living legend and thanks to that, they were going to give the enemy one hell of a fright.
The army crossed that distance between the camps in less than five minutes, but even though they had been that fast, they found a blockade on their path… a huge chunk of the monsters that had spawned in their territory were there… The trolls were the first line of defense. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
For a single moment, Rain wondered if the shouts and roars reached and the enemies prepared those, but Rain couldn’t see any movements in the camp ahea. Still, the warriors didn’t even flinch or hesitate. The trolls soon began to charge as well and before long, one hell of massive collusion took place there.
The battlefield resounded with a strange and unsettling cacophony as the trolls collided with the shields held by the warriors. The impact was jarring, like a series of heavy, wet thuds mixed with grotesque bone-crunching noises. It was a disconcerting symphony of combat, a clear contrast to the thunderous roars of the warriors that had preceded it.
The trolls, despite their considerable size and weight, found themselves at a disadvantage in this initial exchange. The warriors’ disciplined formation and sturdy shields allowed them to absorb and deflect the brunt of the trolls’ charge. As the clash unfolded, it became evident that the warriors held the upper hand.
The trolls, one by one, began to stagger and topple, unable to overcome the united strength and tactics of their adversaries. The warriors, with their unwavering determination, had claimed victory in this first crucial exchange of the battle.
The warriors didn’t use anything but their shields and since they put the power of Limit Breaker, Magic Boost and Impulse behind them alongside their weight, even the trolls were unable to do a thing!
What do you think?
