Legacy of the Betelgeuse

Today is the fourth day, we are camping inside the forest while enjoying our dinner together. We are staring at the campfire while Ivonna is resting her head on my shoulder, I keep throwing the wood into the fire to keep the fire on. Ivonna stands up and walks into the tent, I can hear her looking for something inside the tent then she comes out with a piece of paper in her hand and quill in her other hand. She sits down and draws symbols on it, she then looks at me while swiping the quill onto her lips.

"You said that the six legendary heroes are all the gods and goddesses' descendants, right? I'm wondering who's the ancestor of the six legendary heroes and which is which. Can you tell me about it since we have free time right now?"

I smirk and nod, I notice that she was drawing the twelve constellations on the paper. I point at one of the symbols.

"Heugron is in love with Nymeira are the ancestor of Saintess Eveth. Nymeira wasn't in love with Heugron at first, she was a nympho who love to sleep with the other gods since it will give her power but then she got bored with all of them until she slept with Heugron. Heugron was strong enough and Nymeira can't stop helping herself from wanting more of his mighty, and in the end, both of them fell in love with each other and made so many children."

Ivonna looks at me with disbelief and confusion.

"What? I thought the benevolent gods and goddesses hate the fiendish gods and goddesses?"

I chuckle and shake my head.

"Don't you remember what Durak said back then? Even though they are divided into two, they still worship them since they're not good or evil. They're just testing each other strength and seeing who's the strongest and mightiest gods and goddesses but in the end, none of them can't win against each other. They have lived for almost hundreds of years, they will have a feeling with each other in the end."

Ivonna is humming with understanding.

"So does that mean all of them had a similar background story like Heugron and Nymeira?"

I shake my head.

"No, there's only another one who has the same background story like Heugron which is Goddess Ixora and God Bhizm. Loslathan is their descendant."

Ivonna is connecting the symbols with the information I tell her, she then looks at me while raising her eyebrows.

"Do they know that their ancestors are the gods and goddesses of Orion?"

I look at her and shake my head.

"They don't know but the gods and goddesses know because they possessed their power."

Ivonna is humming with understanding while leaning on the log behind her while staring at the paper in front of her.

"Okay, who's next?"

I'm humming while tapping my lips with my fingers since I need to be sure before I speak.

"God Ventos and Goddess Sitry, their descendant is Aldran. God Epocrish and Goddess Nonabiru, their descendant is Obrellian. God Sangrai and Goddess Nonamerah, their descendant is Vezolan. God Alucard and Eefny, their descendant is Artas."

Ivonna is connecting all the symbols while humming with understanding, I can resist rubbing her head from up here so I gently brush her hair then she immediately leans her head on my thigh. She looks at the paper and wiggles the quill in her hand, she looks at me while furrowing her forehead.

"You said that they have so many children, then where are they now? If we are talking about gods and goddesses, then their children should be demi-gods and demi-goddesses, right?"

I nod.

"Yeah, but they killed each other to show who's the best of them all. Fortunately, there are some of them that are still alive until now."

Ivonna is furrowing her forehead while staring at me.

"There are still here, with us?"

I smile and nod in agreement.

"Yeah, you have seen one of them so many times before."

Ivonna is so confused and sits down on the log.

"What?"

I chuckle and nod then point at the paper.

"Heugron and Nymeira's child, Thera, the Queen Arachne."

Ivonna's eyes and mouth are wide open, I chuckle and nod.

"Why are you so surprised? Don't you get the Godly Item quest from Thera's heart?"

Ivonna is humming with understanding while nodding.

"Wait, if one of the World Bosses is the Gods and Goddesses' descendant, then does that mean the rest of the World Bosses that we haven't encountered are their descendants as well?"

I nod and point at the symbol.

"Yeah, do you remember the World Boss that I told you when we were farming Betelgeuse's Coin in the Zerkhil's Valley?"

Ivonna nods while trying to remember the name of the World Boss that lives inside the volcano.

"Was it, Khafir?"

  I nod and tap on the symbol.

"That's right, Khafir is one of God Sangrai and Goddess Nonamerah's children."

Ivonna is looking at the paper and writes Khafir and Thera on it.

"So does that mean each one of the world bosses will give the same item like Queen Arachne that allows players to get one of the godly item quests?"

I put the wood in the fire while nodding.

"Yeah, but knowing how small the drop rate is, I don't think it would be that easy to get them. That's why the Battle of Zion Moor is there and gives a chance for anyone to grab one for themselves. I mean, both of them are impossible for anyone to get the godly item quests, but at least they give two options to get them."

Ivonna looks at the wood is getting burned by the fire.

"If we can only get one from each World Bosses, how can we get the rest of them? I mean, Thera can only give one and that's Heugron's godly item quest, then what about Nymeira? How can we get her quest?"

I look at her and smile.

"You will see, for now, let's get some sleep because it's already late and we need to wake up early in the morning."

Ivonna is pouting and then smiles while nodding.

"Okay..."

(The next day.)

We both are riding Azrael's back while Ivonna is looking at the map that she marked from the map Durak showed us. Ivonna looks down at the ground and she taps my shoulder and shows the map on her screen, I nod and then we decide to land on the ground and continue our journey on foot. We get off from Azrael's back and send him off to his dimension while Ivonna is looking at Azrael for quite a while.

We both are walking in the forest while staring at the map on her screen, she looks around and sees if there's a village or anything that gives a sign of civilization. Ivonna is walking ahead of me and she seems to be in a hurry, she keeps looking around and goes in the direction that she thinks it's the right way while I'm just following her from behind. I look around and I can feel gazes are pointing at me from the distance and I can tell that they already know that we are here.

"Ivy."

Ivonna turns around and looks at me.

"Yeah?"

I wave at her and she slowly approaches me while tilting her head. I look around and then look at her while putting my index finger in front of my lips.

"We need to be respectful with this place, it seems that they don't like seeing a stranger disturbing their sacred forest."

Ivonna is immediately on guard and looks at her surroundings from the corner of her eyes. I chuckle and shake my head.

"You don't have to worry, they're not hostile toward us, they're just curious about us."

The moment I said that we both can hear rustling sounds coming from all directions but we don't see anyone or anything.

"Who are you people?"

A woman's voice is coming from above us and we both immediately look up, a woman is staring at us with a bow and quiver on her back. She lands on the ground and it surprises Ivonna that the woman looks so white and pale, the woman looks at Ivonna for quite a while and she immediately squints her eyes while smirking.

"It seems that you have been blessed by our ancestor, please come with us and tell us why you are here for."

Ivonna is nodding with understanding and then the woman walks past us, we both are following her from behind but the gazes from these people are still pointing at me. I wonder why they're so wary of me, I can tell that the woman is also stealthily taking a glimpse at me whenever she had the chance. I don't think I have something in or on me that makes them so suspicious and wary of me. The woman stops and we are standing in front of a human-made fence from bushes and there's a white wooden gate in front of us, the woman opens the door and turns around.

"Welcome to the Evian Village."
