Chapter 306: Chapter 275: Divine Cauldron Enters the Body_1
“Now is the time!”
The appearance of the Elder Ancestor from the Imperial Family’s Divinity Transformation Stage signalled that the upheaval was about to conclude. The Nascent Soul Stage is just that, regardless of their strength, they can’t compete with the Divinity Transformation Stage.
At this level, the gap between the two is simply too vast.
Right now everyone’s attention is definitely drawn, this is their best opportunity to escape from the God Refining Tripod.
“Open!”
Xu Mu squeezed the Finger Jue, the lid of the tripod automatically opened and strands of golden mist flew out, releasing unconscious individuals from inside the tripod.
Why unconscious?
Of course, that’s Xu Mu’s doing as he is afraid they would discover something is amiss.
Xu Mu was the last to come out.
Just as he emerged from the tripod, before he could catch his breath or glance at his surroundings, the massive God Refining Tripod in front of him suddenly shrunk into a ball, and turned into a streak of light that rushed into his body.
“Damn!”
The sudden change startled Xu Mu.
He clearly hadn’t done anything, so why did the large tripod rush into his body?
Xu Mu quickly reined in his spirit, felt the location of the God Refining Tripod and tried to pull it out.
Although he really wanted the large tripod – it was a Heavenly Spirit Treasure, who wouldn’t want it? – it was too precious, if it turned out to be on him, he wouldn’t have enough lives to spare.
He quickly found the shrunken God Refining Tripod in his Dantian.
The God Refining Tripod now appeared to be the size of a fist, like a treasure, hovering around the Golden Pill, continually drawing on spiritual power from it.
Once he found the God Refining Tripod, Xu Mu couldn’t help but release a sigh of relief, and immediately tried to control the God Refining Tripod to leave his Dantian.
Keeping this tripod on him was a crime waiting to be revealed!
“What the hell is going on?”
However, no matter how hard Xu Mu tried, the God Refining Tripod staying in his Dantian didn’t move at all.
“You’ve got to be kidding me, big brother! This isn’t a joke, it’s life-threatening!”
Xu Mu started sweating profusely, and began to rack his brain for a solution.
By now, everyone else was waking up and the battle outside was taking a shocking turn.
…
The imperial capital.
The Palm Immortal Office.
A number of towering buildings, already reduced to ruins scattered all around due to the battles of over a dozen Nascent Soul Stage experts.
Crackling!
The primal Qi in the air was in chaos, elemental energy collided, and strands of electric currents were flickering unstably in the void.
Prince Jade stood in the empty air with his hands behind his back, his demeanor was overwhelming, his gaze dominating all under the heavens. The Ten Thousand Soul Banner quietly floated before him. The nine honest evil ghosts flanked him, gazing at his silhouette, filled with both madness and fear, completely different from how they used to look up at Prince Jade.
Over a dozen differently dressed experts at the Nascent Soul Stage, looked at him warily, spearheaded by the disheveled, fierce-eyed, uncompromising Master of the Palm Immortal Office.
Prince Jade had no interest in the many Nascent Souls in front of him. He looked up at the sky towards the direction of the palace, his gaze seemed to penetrate through time and space, resting on a ragged old man.
“Old man! Your power hasn’t grown but your courage has. Let me see if you have the capability to take my life!”
Prince Jade opened his mouth wide, and the nine evil ghosts behind him were swallowed directly in fear. The chilling, deadly air within a radius of hundreds of miles crazily converged towards him. His pallid, jade-like complexion was instantly enveloped in dark bluish-green. His eyes were deeply set, cheekbones protruding, reduced to skin and bones. Series of purple demonic patterns rapidly spread and his power surged crazily.
Within a very short time, Prince Jade turned from a living man into a ghastly specter from hell, causing one’s liver to split with fear at the sight.
“Hidden Corpse Puppet Jue! Stop him!”
The Master of the Palm Immortal Office bellowed in rage, with several mirrors appearing behind him, simultaneously firing beams of light towards Prince Jade.
The others released their treasures one after another, or started casting skills with talismans, launching an attack towards “Prince Jade”.
“Out of the way!”
“Prince Jade” sneered, stretching his five fingers and gathering black demonic Qi on them, transforming it into a monstrous claw. He slapped away the attacks from the crowd. The black Qi then encased him and morphed into a massive ghostly face, soaring towards the imperial palace.
Who would have expected “Prince Jade” to be audacious enough to take on the challenge of the Divinity Transformation Stage directly?
“You have no idea of the immensity of the universe!”
A cold snort came from an old ancestor of the Imperial Family undergoing the Divinity Transformation Stage. Suddenly, everyone felt a resonance of spiritual power from the sky and the earth as they gathered in the sky. Looking up, they witnessed a scene that they would never forget in their lifetime.
A gigantic hand, spanning ten miles, materialised in the sky with every vein visible. It slowly moved towards “Prince Jade”.
At that moment, it felt as if the heavens and the earth were collapsing!
Thunderous rumbles!
Before the spiritual hand landed, the force already displaced the spiritual power of the world, creating a visible layer of white vacuum underneath it. The air compressed explosively, the horrific sounds reverberated like endless thunderclaps. The powerful pressure destabilised everyone who levitated, making it impossible to maintain their static posture.
“Prince Jade,” who was in swift flight, couldn’t evade the attack from the gigantic hand and was brutally slapped.
“Ahh!!!”
“Prince Jade” howled with wrath, his face convulsed with pain and his eyes bulging in defiance. He charged towards the gigantic hand, unleashing all his might.
Loud rumbles!
Like countless thunderbolts striking the earth, phantom dragons roared in the void, spiritual power raging in all directions.
In the next moment, “Prince Jade” was thrown backwards as if cannoned out, he crashed on the ground creating a rift and got deeply buried in it.
The spiritual hand, however, was nearly unscathed and continued to inflict damage, not sparing any efforts.
“Damn! If I had my top ten corpse puppets, I wouldn’t be in such a dilemma!”
“Prince Jade” couldn’t help but hiss with frustration.
He had just escaped from the heavenly cell. His body was not yet fully integrated, his cultivation had not reached its peak, and he only had a newly-acquired Ten Thousand Souls Streamer to combat. Without his best puppet technique, how could he possibly win at a higher level?
“Even at your prime, you were no match for me! This time, you shall not survive!”
The old Divinity Transformation ancestor coldly responded, his murderous intent was palpable.
He had hoped that after so many years of confinement, the other party would repent, but it seemed that he had only become more depraved, beyond salvation.
“You want me to die? Dream on!”
“Prince Jade” sneered in disdain.
Despite such a desperate situation, he appeared as calm as still water, as if holding a big trump card.
“Fellow! You’ve planned so long to rescue me, surely you aren’t going to just watch me get sealed again!”
Prince Jade exclaimed.
Everyone’s nerves became taut. At this juncture, did this man still have help?
Who would dare to rescue someone under the nose of a Divinity Transformation Stage cultivator?
At that time, a young cloaked man in black stood on a bustling street in the imperial capital, one hand behind his back, the other playing with a blood jade ring. He walked slowly. When the fight began, pedestrians started to flee in panic, only he stayed relaxed.
A goatee heard “Prince Jade’s” cry for help. He raised his head slowly and looked towards the direction of the battle.
His face looked pale, the evening light casting a green hue on his handsome visage. His eyes were hidden in shadow, veiled by a layer of soft haze, like a feeble, dying glow of daylight.
He gave off an eerie presence as if he was a being neither living nor dead but somewhere in between.
“I thought I wouldn’t have to lift a hand! What a hassle!”
The young man grumbled, shifted slightly, and disappeared from his spot.
A few breaths later, a thunderous roar emanated from his former position. A horrifying shock wave rolled out, crushing everything within a hundred feet into dust, sparing no one.
