Chapter 1872: Inheriting The Legacy
Chapter 1872: Inheriting The Legacy
Even when he is talking honestly with this child, this child could still spout such nonsense without batting an eye.
Yes, Azief did not tell the entire truth. He knows from the beginning that Wargod had no reason to snatch his legacy. There is no need to make such trouble just to snatch the legacy from him
There is no need to lure Will and Samara if the purpose is just to snatch his legacy. He could actually guess why Wargod wanted to meet him
It could be traced back from the moment he met Borgan.
From that moment on, the fate and destiny that he possess is inextricably linked to the Etherna.
He had learned about Will and Samara and how Samara look at Will as the carrier of her race knowledge and the inheritor of her race.
There is many Speedsters in the Omniverse.
But Will is the one chosen by Samara. And when Azief get the legacy of Etherna and when he sees Wargod face and put two and two together, he knew that Wargod feeling towards him might be the same as Samara feelings toward Will
Hope.
Legacy
As for the reason he did not worry about establishing cause and effect when he ask question, this is because the cause and effect between Azief and the Etherna is already very tight
It is like someone who already have so many debts that they could not care much even if one added a few more debts.
Since the debt is already high enough and Azief did not have the ability to settle this debt in the meantime, just accumulate more
Maybe by accumulating this debt, he would find a breakthrough on how to solve this debt once and for all.
So, Azief is showing a bit of his cunningness and there is scheming on his heart, a trait he rarely exhibited on Earth
Azief rarely has to be cunning or scheming on Earth.
Because on Earth, there is no need to be scheming or cunning when his strength is enough to cow the world into submission.
However, in front of Wargod, there is a hierarchy of strength.
And Azief knows very well, eve with his Perfection path, and even if he summons his two avatar powers, he would not be able to kill let alone hurt Wargod.
When you are facing such a being that seems insurmountable, Azief could not be as at ease as when he is on earth
Never truly shows his real thoughts and intention. It is not that he is deceiving Wargod. He is just cautious when it matters and carefree when it does not matter.
"You feel safe around me?" This is Wargod conclusion. Safe enough to crack jokes, safe enough to not hide the scheme and the cunningness
And his conclusions is not wrong at all.
Azief not only feel familiar with Wargod. He also feel that he would be safe if he is near Wargod.
He believes that Wargod did not only want to benefit him, but he also wanted to protect him. Of course, he must have his reason of wanting to protect him
Whatever that reason was does not matter.
What matters is Wargod wanted to protect him.
To have such an ancient being wanting to be his bodyguards, is an offer he would not reject. Since he already determined that Wargod would not attack him or harm him or plot against him, he become carefree and unrestrained and asking all sorts of question.
Wargod also seems to understand this now and he could not help but chuckles.
"You are really a brave for a mortal"
Azief only smirks at this. Wargod also only chuckles. Wargod could not do anything to Azief and Azief knows it.
Since Wargod did not held any ill intentions toward Azief, so he did not mind at all being used. Instead, he wanted Azief to use him
At least in this broken star, the things he did would be concealed to a certain extent
Then Wargod continue walking to the entrance.
The entrance is not that far but it is not that near either.
And they didn't exactly walk quickly to the entrance.
As for Samara and Will, they are still transfixed in front of the temple, looking at the murals and the carvings and the paintings.
That is their opportunity and it is not Azief place to take that place. Savi'krian legacy is not his fate and destiny.
"And what does the Collector collects?" Azief ask the question back.
Wargod chuckles. He thought Azief had already forgotten.
"He collects all things. All over the Omniverse. He does not do much other than collecting things. Though, he is a bit perverse in the way he collects things"n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
"How do you convince him to give those statues? Considering that the name is the Collector, for someone like that, those statues must be inside one of his collections. I doubt he would just give it to you?"
"The Collector lost a game with me. A bet. I won. And so, I got the statues" Azief nodded. He has some other question. Most of it is about other beings in the Omniverse. The reason why he is so interested in all of these figures is because after he solve this matter, he would return to
Earth
Returning to Eart would also means handling the matter in Pandemonium. After that, it is time to see Katarina.
And Sofia. Say what he wanted to say, do what he wanted to do. And then after all of that, he would go to the stars.
Azief did not have such thoughts before he met Wargod. But when he met Wargod new plans
take hold.
That is life.
He plans something and then another thing came along and he had to adapt correspondingly
to this new plan.
Sometimes, circumstances could not keep up with the plans.
So, now, he had the mind to go to the stars and experience things.
And see new sights.
He is not trying to run from the future anymore.
Because with Wargod here, he knows that the future that he saw might just happened.
But not running away from it does not mean he accept it.
On the contrary.
He is still very adamant in changing his fate.
Is he confident he could change it? No. None at all. Many more beings have tried and failed.
But, he would still choose this path
Either give up or keep fighting. Before the Fall, he always gives up. After the Fall, he never
gives up.
Because before the Fall, there was nothing in his life that he held dearly enough that he would
fight for.
The Fall came and he experiences things, knows people, hate and love people and he held things and he appreciates things that is dear enough that he would rather die than give up on
these things
There is no other choice?
No, there is always a choice of giving up.
But this time, Azief made the choice to never give up.
Even if at the end of the road, is nothing but darkness, he still have to fight to try to seek that
one light of glory and salvation
He has all of these thoughts. Wargod did not know these thoughts
And then they finally arrived at the main door of the Temple
The door itself is tall and large.
Like the walls it is full of murals and painting.
There is a painting of a beast on the door and there is the paintings of beings surrounded by
lightning fighting this beast.
Azief could only deduce so much from these paintings.
Maybe it depicts the ancestors of the Savi'krian fighting beast in the past or maybe it depicts
the ancestors of Savi'krian fighting some dreadful creature of the cosmos.
There is only a few that Azief could deduce. And even if he deduce it, it does not mean his
deduction is correct.
If he did no know that magic is real, and there is all kinds of fantastical creatures and magical
civilization in the Universe, he would think simply and that this is the painting of hunting during the primitive era of the Savi'krian race.
There is probably many secrets hiding in any of these murals. But that secret would not
revealed itself to him, an outsider
It looks a lot like the Inca murals on Earth.
But he knows that all he could see is the superficial. If Will and his teacher is here, they might
be able to see something he could not
After all, this is a Savi'krian legacy.
Azief expected that just like how only he could activated that blue crystal and unravel the
secret inside that blue crystal, it is the same for this temple
Only a Savi'krian and those who inherit the Savi'krian legacy could see through the superficial
and see the essence of these murals and paintings.
"Do you want to go in?" Wargod ask as he looks behind him.
Will and Samara is still there looking at the wall, seemingly turning into a statue unable to
move, only their cloudy eyes looking at the walls.
