Marvel: Killing Makes You Stronger

Chapter 226: Thanos decided to flee, but can he?

Chapter 226: Thanos decided to flee, but can he?

After entering a marvelous state, Loki displayed an overwhelming advantage against Thanos, pushing Thanos into a desperate situation.

But was this really a desperate situation for Thanos?

Not at all. Thanos was destined to rule the universe because of his unique qualities. His knowledge allowed him to find ways to cope, no matter how dire the situation seemed.

Such was the case at this moment.

Loki thrust his spear at incredible speed, but as it approached, it was suddenly blocked by a double-headed sword, precisely hitting the purple gem embedded in the sword.

The collision between Loki's divine power and the Power Stone erupted into a violent energy storm.

Amid the raging energy storm, Loki's reaction was astonishingly swift. His figure became illusionary as he quickly retreated using deceit magic, not only avoiding the blast but also sending another terrifying spell toward Thanos.

The spell, based on Odin's eternal spear Gungnir, manifested numerous Gungnirs made of magical energy, shooting towards Thanos.

The main goal was to penetrate and inflict damage, with the sharp spearheads capable of piercing Thanos' flesh.

However, the energy of the Power Stone was too special, filled with attributes of fury and destruction. Even though Loki had reinforced the spears with runes and chains to make them sturdy, they were instantly destroyed. Thanos seized the double-headed sword and shattered Loki's spells one by one.

From Thanos chasing Loki, to Loki reaching an extraordinary state and nearly killing Thanos, the entire process lasted less than ten seconds, but each second was thrilling.

Both Thanos and Loki were on the brink of disaster with even the slightest mistake. Their maneuvers and strategies were pushed to the limit, making the battle exceptionally exciting.

This also made Thanos view Loki differently. He realized that his previous assessment of Loki was incorrect. Compared to Thor and others, Loki might be slightly weaker, but only slightly.

Moreover, Loki possessed an element of unpredictability.

This unpredictability broke conventions, making even Thanos feel troubled.

Facing Loki could result in entirely unforeseen situations.

Thanos felt increasingly burdened. If the weakest among these people was as troublesome as Loki, then when they joined forces, it would be a real challenge for him.

Thanos knew that no matter how he struggled, the outcome of continuing to fight would only be one thing: death.

Thanos did not want to die, at least not now. He hadn't completed his mission. He wasn't afraid of death, but if he had to die, it would be after he accomplished his mission.

So he decided to escape.

One of his last resorts was the Hover Throne, one of his trump cards.

However, the magical barrier in front of him disrupted the space. Although the Space Throne was one of the most wondrous spatial artifacts in the universe and could largely ignore space-sealing magic, it still required time to summon.

To put it simply, the Space Throne needed time to break the magic barrier's code. Once the code was broken, it could arrive on Morag. Leaving would be instant since the code would already be cracked.

This meant Thanos needed to hold out until the Space Throne was summoned.

What Thanos didn't know was that the space wasn't sealed by Bella alone. Wanda and Loki had also set up the magical barrier, but there was an even greater entity involved: the space sealed by Bi Xiao.

At Bi Xiao's level, the space he sealed couldn't be broken by the Space Throne even in ten thousand years.

Moreover, Bi Xiao had already sensed Thanos silently summoning the Space Throne. From far away in Asgard, Bi Xiao was fully focused.

He was waiting to see if his guess was correct.

The battle on Morag continued.

Gamora and Nebula, in dire straits, fled again. The area within a hundred kilometers was no longer safe. The battles between the sub-Celestial beings would soon engulf this distance.

Without a spacecraft, the two women could only flee on foot.

Morag was a desolate planet with an extremely harsh environment, devoid of vegetation and trees, filled with withered trees and complex terrain, and inhabited by various ugly and deadly creatures.

Fortunately, the disturbances caused by the battle between Thanos and Thor's group had already scared these creatures away.

Gamora and Nebula ran for their lives.

Meanwhile, Thanos was being besieged by Thor and the others.

Under the assault of several equally powerful beings, no matter how excellent Thanos was, his fate was to be brutally beaten. His attributes were astonishingly robust.

Thanos was nearly a perfect warrior, with no weaknesses.

In terms of defense, his body structure and skin were possibly superior to those with the Odinsson bloodline like Thor, and many injuries could heal almost instantly.

His defense and regenerative abilities were maxed out.

Thanos also had a very strong soul, which was one of his significant advantages. He knew some magic and even curses, with an incredibly broad knowledge base.

In terms of speed, he was almost at the speed of light. Besides Pietro, no one else could match his speed.

This was entirely at odds with his large physique.

For long-range attacks, his body contained vast amounts of cosmic energy. When fully utilized, this energy could shatter a planet.

His stamina was nearly limitless, allowing him to fight prolonged battles.

Thanos was indeed a well-rounded warrior, as were Wanda, Pietro, and others. Even if their attributes weren't as high as his, they weren't far behind, with some individual attributes even more outstanding.

Thus, under siege, Thanos felt a sense of powerlessness. No matter how he struggled or resisted, there was no hope of victory.

Fortunately, Thanos did not need to win. He had already decided to flee. As for fleeing being shameful, he didn't care at all.
