Qin Zhiyou glanced at him lightly, not planning to say anything, and lifted Lu Weixi up, preparing to go upstairs.

But he was stopped by Qin Zhigu.

When he saw Qin Zhiyou holding her, he suddenly remembered a scene from six years ago.

Six years ago, on Qixi festival, after celebrating Valentine’s Day with Lu Weixi and dropping her off at her college dormitory, he returned to the male dormitory by himself.

However, before he could shower and rest, he was ‘accidentally’ reminded by Cai Yiren, “I just discovered Wei Hui leaving the dormitory building. She wouldn’t tell me why. I’m worried that she’s going out this late at night, she could be in danger.”

Normally, there’s a curfew for the dormitory buildings, but it was the summer holiday, and since they were seniors staying on campus to write their thesis and intern, naturally, they left the gates open late into the night.

Their dormitory buildings were all on the west side, and now it was 11 p.m., all the classrooms on the east were closed. The campus streets were dimly lit, but because it was Valentine’s Day, there were still some couples appearing from time to time.

He ran towards the east gate, circled it numerous times, but still could not find Lu Weixi.

When he called Cai Yiren, she said that Lu Weixi had still not come back.

Where on earth could she have gone to this late at night?

Qin Zhigu asked the security guard at the east gate, but he also hadn’t seen a girl of her description leaving the campus. As Qin Zhigu was pondering, he happened to pass by Osmanthus Garden and saw an unforgettable scene!

From a distance, he saw a man and woman kissing under a large tree in Osmanthus Garden!

The slender man held the delicate woman tightly against him, their backdrop a blooming osmanthus tree, and over their heads, the soft moonlight shone. The wind blew, not strong enough to stir the osmanthus blooms, but strong enough to lift the woman’s long hair into a fragile dance.

What a beautiful sight.

However, the man was Qin Zhiyou, and the woman was Lu Weixi!

Qin Zhigu felt as if he had been struck by lightning—how could it be them? How could they be kissing on Qixi, late at night, in the deserted Osmanthus Garden?

And, it wasn’t just a peck—it was a deep kiss!

He and Lu Weixi had been dating for years, and although they had kissed, they had never shared a deep, passionate kiss. Yet, they were…

He hid behind a large stone, submerged in shadows, unseen by the two deep in their kiss. Truthfully though, Lu Weixi was resisting, but her vision was limited in the dark, and Qin Zhiyou blocked her against the tree trunk, preventing her from putting up effective resistance. Above all, Lu Weixi didn’t dare shout out – after all, it was a public space in the middle of the night. If someone saw her, she wouldn’t be able to explain herself.

After the kiss, Lu Weixi was obviously very angry, slapping Qin Zhiyou’s face and yelling shameless and despicable at him, before stomping away.

Qin Zhiyou followed her, and they both quickly disappeared into the night.

Even though Lu Weixi was angry, it was evident the two were familiar with each other, and, judging by the expertise displayed by Qin Zhiyou’s kiss—it was not the first time they had met secretly.
