Chapter 231: To Sleep
Evelyn immediately noticed that a message had arrived on her phone.
She quickly opened it, then read it.
After which, she looked at David and Jasmine, laughing faintly.
Without looking at her phone screen, she typed a reply to the message.
(How can you go crazy when talking to a beautiful woman? Isn't that what you like the most?)
Whether she was joking or mocking him for his predicament, David couldn't tell.
Somewhat annoyed, he replied: (This woman might be in love with me, if you can't get her to leave me, I'll spend the night with her.)
Just a moment after he sent that message, Evelyn's expression instantly changed.
For a moment, it looked like some naughty guy had smacked her butt, confusing the ladies beside her.
After which, she finally walked over to the table David was at.
Jasmine quickly noticed Evelyn's arrival. She knitted her brows, somehow looking worried when she saw her.
"Jasmine," Evelyn said, calling her name directly.
"Why?" Jasmine responded immediately.
She seemed to be trying to show her some courage.
"Go back to your room and don't wander around anymore. If anything happens, we can't handle the mess," Evelyn replied in a cold tone while David was confused as he had no idea what Evelyn was talking about.
"Nothing will happen. I came out because I was confident that everything would be fine," Jasmine replied.
"Even if you are sure, you still shouldn't come out."
"Why are you suddenly reprimanding me? You were silent before. The others didn't mind either." As Evelyn continued to press her in the conversation, Jasmine began to raise her voice.
People looked at each other with strange expressions.
Of course, all of them except David understood what they were talking about. However, they felt that Evelyn did not need to force Jasmine back to her room.
The woman also needed to be given some time to roam around.
What was strange of course was why Evelyn would suddenly ask for that.
David was getting confused.
He felt that this could cause unnecessary conflict.
After thinking about it, he decided to stand up.
"I'll go first, take a walk around," he said.
He thought that Jasmine would return to her room if he was not around, so he chose to leave.
Seeing him leave, Jasmine became somewhat disappointed. Even her expression became visibly miserable.
"Hmph!"

She snorted coldly at Evelyn before standing up and running quickly towards one of the rooms.
People felt sorry to see her sad expression while Evelyn kept a cold expression.
No one knew that she was angry that her lover was being targeted by that woman.
David went to a corner of the beach, sitting on a rock shaped like a chair.
He lit a cigarette there. The stars began to appear in the west, shining brightly while the ocean reflected their rays making the light even brighter.
Even without additional lights, the beach was bright at night.
At the same time, members of the Rothschild Family began to light bonfires, playing music in low tones.
One by one, they exited the mansion, gathering with their respective circles.
Perhaps no one would notice Arthur's disappearance.
This was because the people closest to him, his father or Jane had left.
His friends probably wouldn't look for him seriously, thinking he didn't want to join them. After all, here, no one would think that one of them was in trouble like being kidnapped or held captive.
Even an army of ten thousand soldiers with full weapons would only seek death if they dared to make trouble here.
In no time at all, the feast finally truly began.
The people of the family enjoyed the feast while grilling meat, roasted corn, and various other vegetables.
Although they were only playing classical music in a relaxed tone, David noticed that as they started drinking, they seemed to start craving for something more fun.
It was just that, as he observed, some people seemed to disapprove of making this party too loud since they were not gathered here for a party plus the elders were probably taking care of something important.
If they partied too hard and got very drunk and slept until noon, it was feared that it would result in a big problem.
Although this was not to people's liking, it seemed that most members of the Rothschild Family realized that they did need to limit themselves.
In the end, they decided that it would just be a casual party.
This was certainly not what Evelyn wanted as she expected them to be busy with the party.
However, she couldn't argue with this opinion.
Fortunately, the woman did not run out of ideas.
She suddenly pretended to have a headache, telling her friends that she needed to take a break soon.
After that, she entered the mansion again.
Her friends were disappointed that she left, but it didn't change the course of the party as many of the partygoers were not so close to her.
David's presence at the end of the beach was not noticed by anyone. Or maybe they were pretending not to notice him.
Even Enzo seemed quiet tonight. Not only was he not trying to get close to Evelyn, he wasn't trying to target David either.
DING!
David's cell phone rang, signaling an incoming message.
(Come to my room!)
It was from Evelyn.
David smiled slightly as he looked at the message.
He then stood up and walked towards the mansion again.
The important thing now was to move Arthur and then he and Evelyn could finally make love.
Only, since Enzo happened to be in front of the mansion's terrace, David could not help but pass by him.
Too close to him, Enzo naturally noticed him.
"Where do you want to go?" The man apparently asked him the question in his cold tone.
"To sleep," David replied indifferently.
He naturally didn't care about the man he had defeated.
"Hmph!" The man snorted. "A guest shouldn't sleep when all the hosts are still outside."
He was apparently giving her sarcasm.
This was something she had expected since she started talking to him.
To keep him from continuing to say nonsense, he chose not to respond, continuing to walk with an unconcerned expression.
Perhaps if he knew what his true intentions were, his head would explode on its own or it would turn into a green hat.
