Chapter 444 Real Luna!
[Author's Note: I am still waiting for responses, Only one reader answered me... Please!]
Finally, once everyone had settled down and the room grew quiet,
Eli spoke with a grave expression, "Luna is alive."
A sudden, palpable silence descended over the gathering.
"???" Everyone tilted their heads in confusion, their expressions mirroring their bewilderment as they tried to grasp what he was talking about. If he was referring to Aurora, who had been 'reborn' as Luna, then yes, Luna was indeed alive.
'Drip.'
At the sound of a tear dropping, everyone's attention focused on Aurora. Her eyes were wide open, and a single tear was trailing slowly from her left eye.
Mariel and Scylla immediately understood the significance of Eli's words, while the others took a moment longer to comprehend.
Aurora abruptly stood up, grabbing Eli's shoulders and shaking him back and forth in her desperation, "M-My daughter is still a-alive?"
"Yes," Eli replied softly, his smile tender as he gently cupped her cheek.
'Thud'
Aurora's legs suddenly gave way, and she collapsed, but Eli swiftly caught her, cradling her securely on his lap.
"S-So she is alive... ah," Aurora sobbed, tears pouring out in torrents, like a mother who had just found her lost child after years of searching.
Eli hugged her tightly, providing her the time she needed to calm down. Then, Rose asked hesitantly, "W-Where is she? How is she?" Experience new stories on empire
Aurora also looked at him, her eyes pleading for answers.
Eli gently touched her heart,
If Aurora had been in her usual state, she might have lashed out at Eli for touching her modest chest. But now, her mind was entirely consumed with thoughts of reuniting with her child.
"R-Really?" Aurora asked, hope shining brightly in her eyes as she touched her chest, attempting to peer into the soul realm. But,
"Arrhh!!"
She screamed in pain as if a jolt of electricity had run through her spine.
Seeing her reaction, Mariel said seriously, "I see, so the body recognizes two souls... ah."
This situation was much like when she had entered Eli's soul realm. However, for some reason, Aurora couldn't see her own soul realm, which meant,
"The soul realm isn't Aurora's?" Mariel mumbled in surprise, looking to Eli for clarification. Eli simply nodded, explaining, "To put it simply, this body and soul crystal belongs to Luna, not Aurora. For some reason, Luna was forced into dormancy, and Aurora was just a lingering soul in Luna's body."
Inwardly, he added, 'Just like how I trapped those two inside me.'
Aurora frowned, "B-But I was able to do it before..."
Eli smiled gently, "Because her soul was dormant until now."
"Until now?"
"Yes, I... somehow woke her up," Eli said, frowning. He was aware he had done it, but he wasn't sure how, unless he understood more about his divinity.
Everyone looked at Eli in awe, their expressions filled with a mixture of surprise and wonder.
"Really?!" Scylla asked, astonished.
"Do you think I would lie about something like this?" Eli replied with a smirk.
Aurora stared at him as if he were a rare specimen. Seeing this, Eli couldn't help but ask, "What? Falling for me already?" He teased but didn't expect her response.
"Yes, more and more," she mumbled, hugging him tightly.
Eli patted her back with a gentle smile.
"Then how are we going to separate them?" Scarlett asked with a frown. To her knowledge, there was no precedent for one person inhibiting another's body.
Mariel then said, "If what he said is true, then if we revive the mother, there's a possibility that Luna might be revived as well."
Aurora's eyes widened in happiness. If it was for her daughter, she wouldn't mind dying once.
However,
Mariel shook her head, saying, "No, if we did that, what about Aurora? There's a slight chance she was inhibiting the original owner, so if she gets killed, her soul might escape from the body."
Everyone's faces turned to dread, but to Aurora, it was nothing as long as her daughter could--
"Hey!" An emotionless voice echoed in the room, making everyone flinch.
Aurora looked at Eli, who was gazing at her with an emotionless expression. Fear crept in as she realized Eli might have understood what she was thinking.
"Do you believe in me?" Eli asked, a straightforward question that required only one answer.
"...Yes," Aurora nodded, lowering her head and hugging him, knowing he was angry at her for considering dying again.
"Good," Eli nodded and gave her a light chop on her neck, rendering her unconscious. His eyes flickered with pink as he said, "Come out, Luna."
Everyone frowned, not understanding Eli's actions, except Scarlett, who had heard about his divinity and watched him with curiosity.
Soon,
"Arrhh! Why are you always rough, Dad?" Suddenly, Aurora spoke up... but it wasn't Aurora; it was Luna.
Though the voice felt familiar, there was a slight difference, a childish quality to it.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
"L-Luna?" Rose asked, her face filled with surprise.
Luna, still hugging Eli, glanced at Rose and smiled, "Yes, Big Sis!"
Everyone was astonished and looked at Eli in wonder. "H-How did you do that?"
Eli simply shrugged, saying, "Sometimes this kind of thing happens whenever I wish deeply from my heart."
"Yes, Dad is really something else," Luna said with amusement, staring at Eli before standing up and looking at everyone. She introduced herself with a bright smile,
"My name is Luna, daughter of Aurora and," she glanced at Eli and continued, "soon to be the daughter of Asher Eli."
Eli smiled, shaking his head in amusement.
Though everyone was surprised, they weren't sure how to react. Luna was a new person they had never known, even though she knew them.
Sensing their hesitation, Luna said, "No need to worry. From the moment Mother opened her eyes in my body, I've been living through her, so I know everything... I mean everything," she added with a playful wink at Eli.
'Cough.' Eli coughed and averted his eyes.
