Chapter 57: Closing the Deal with Draky
Chapter 57: Closing the Deal with Draky
"Death arises," she used her skill at once, summoning the first level sixteen skeletons in her army. "go and have fun with you brothers and sisters," she jokingly said, as the newly summoned skeletons moved towards the big pile of moving bones over there.
"I had to find some strong looking, smart skeleton to lead them," she sighed, as she knew she was taking slow decisions, not bold enough for fear of losing the whole skeletons she just summoned.
Killing one thousand monsters was a long task, and trying to do it by killing five monsters and ten monsters at a time wasn't the ideal approach, it was the snail approach.
But she didn't want to risk losing them, so she tried to go to a slightly bigger group one battle after another, until she reached the equilibrium and the reasonable limit of her skeletons, attacking sixty to seventy monsters at the same time.
That reduced the amount of time needed to reach her goal, but regardless it still took some time to reach it. midway, though, she got her level up, allocating points in her stats, and then she continued acting like a bystander, watching and giving orders only.
"The life of a necromancer is much easier than anyone else," she muttered, enjoying doing nothing, while gaining everything.
Just as she was about to reach one thousand mark, a system notification popped up, with a message being delivered to her. It was from Draky, the Armonian ambassador at Hept, telling her that the deal was about to be completed in a few hours, and she could check after that, and he would wait for her call.
The deal was done by Ibro before he went off. Ibro had cared much about this deal, and so she also had to honor it. She then opened her friend list, chose two hundred and five names, then she clicked on it.
A video call was connected, and that assassin in front of her who was amidst some sort of a quest looked at her for a second, before saying:
"I never knew you had some necromancer skills."
She was surprised for a brief moment, as from one look, noticing the skeletons around her, and he had already figured out her own secret.
"I got a message from Draky, he said the deal was completed," she ignored his remark, as she told him about Draky's message.
"I think there is a few hours left until everyone in Hept would have his capsule," two hundred and five said, while returning to kill the monsters in front of him, "when they complete the task, let me be there in the call with that man, you aren't qualified yet to deal with some sneaky snake like him," he added, before closing the call as he was kind of busy right now.
She heard his words and sighed, she was never the manipulative kind of person. She was always kind hearted, with good intentions, and loved to help others for free.
She knew, deep down her soul, what he remarked about her just now was right, and despite knowing that fact already, hearing him say it pained her a little.
"Continue pushing forward, we have a small margin and meet our target," she shouted, angrily, at her skeletons, ordering them to move faster, and fight harder.
She didn't take one more hour before she had gained the required number of monsters, and with that the system sound came in her mind.
'Good work, you have killed one thousand level sixteen monsters. Select one skeleton now to upgrade it.'
'I select this one,' she selected one level sixteen skeleton from the newly acquired army.
'The upgrade will take one hour, so wait here and don't move around,' the system said, as the skeleton she chose was surrounded by a black green ball made of thick opaque aura that felt somehow offensive and gloomy.
"One hour, sigh," she muttered, "don't slack off, go and kill more monsters here," she said to her skeletons, letting them go and continue clearing this area.
She just stood in her place, waiting for the system upgrade to finish, when a call request came to her.
It was from an old friend, a player she knew since she entered the pro world of games, and she was a Heptian player as well.
She didn't delay and accepted the request at once.
A berserker appeared in front of her, with a broad sword and heavy armor covering the thin tall body of a beautiful female player, with long dark hair and dark blue eyes.
She didn't change any bit of her real shape, as she looked exactly like this in real life.
"Wow, what the heck is moving beside you girl?! Is that a skeleton?!!" The first thing Salsola muttered was this funny remark, which made Oya laugh despite trying not to.
"They are my new babies," she joyfully said, while moving around so the camera could bring them all, "look, look, how beautiful and ferocious they are," she added, with a smile.
"Oh, they are adorable," Salsola said, as she added with some envy, "that's the reason then your ranking is getting higher and higher in no time, like you are riding a fast train!"
Oya just giggled when she recalled something she totally forgot, "Girl, can you ride a train and come here?" she hurriedly asked.
"A train? Ah girl, you are always clumsy like this when immersed in playing," Salsola helplessly sighed, "never mind, why do you want me to come to you?" she suddenly got closer to the camera where only part of her face was there, "do you have a hot kid in your area? Huh? C'mon, tell me!"
Oya's face blushed, while she hurriedly denied:
"There is no one here but me."
"Liar, liar, liar," Salsola sang it out loud, "your face exposed everything, c'mon, tell me, I want to know EVERYTHING!" she pressed longer on her last word while elongating her personal tone and accent. Oya just took a deep breath, while feeling exposed in front of her friend, "I told you there is no one here, don't bully me."
"Bully? You call this a bully? No, I will come to you now and show you what a bully is! Tell me or I swear I will ride that train and come to you."
Oya just laughed, while opening her inventory, selected one return scroll to Ihnasia, and then sent it to her friend, "take this, and come here, I really need your help," she said.
"Help for what?" Salsola asked, while taking out the scroll she just received from her.
"I'm planning to make an alliance here, come and don't waste time, plus you can level up with me," she said.
Salsola's eyes got widened, as she immediately asked:
"How the hell did you get your hands on such a precious thing?!" she then winked, playfully, as she added, "Is it a sugar daddy or something?"
"C'mon, you know I don't do this!" Oya blurted defensively out, as she knew how dirty her little friend's mind could be. "I just have it on lucky encounters. will you come or not?"
"Your luck seems to be really great in this game, sure I will come. Give me one hour and I will be at your place, cya."
She then closed the call, and Oya then looked towards the upgrading bar, which was now about to finish, and sighed. This long time was really wasted, why couldn't she go around and level up while her baby would grow up?
As the bar completed, she got the system notification of the upgrade being finished.
'Good news, the baby frost dragon skeleton has been evolved successfully.'
"Finally!" she blurted out, as she then went towards the huge dragon skeleton, with much hope and expectations. She suddenly found the size got bigger, and its bones got thicker, but nothing else.
'System, why is there no wings here?'
'I never said there would be wings,' the system replied, with some weirdness in its tone.
'isn't it supposed to be a dragon?' she muttered, with much unwillingness to accept this result, 'I want my dragon!' she said, stubbornly, while she was feeling betrayed.
''
The system didn't reply to her, while she was somehow feeling skeptical and bitter towards it.
'What is the next mission though?' she reluctantly asked.
'If you want to make it a flying dragon, you will need to finish ten missions in a row. You won't gain Xp, but instead will gain a flying dragon. What do you say?'
The system offered such an enticing thing to her, and she already wanted that flying dragon now, so she asked:
'Can you upgrade it and I will pay back?'
''
The system didn't reply to her, as this was against its policy. It had no reserve energy to use, and even if it had, it would store it for later time.
'Ok, ok, I agree,' she said, with a sad face, but the system didn't care about it.
She then started to move, as staying here for one whole hour had already made her quite bored.
Her new baby dragon was in the lead, while other skeletons were following it. she wanted to test its powers, to know if she had gotten herself a fair deal or not.
The next to appear were level fifteen monsters, two levels higher than hers. However, she wasn't that strict about direct leveling, as she wasn't going to fight with her two bare hands.
