Neurolink System in the Modern World

Chapter 427 Fake Personality

Inside, she led me up to her room, which was situated on the second floor of the mansion

As we entered, my eyes were drawn to a large window that offered a breathtaking view of the sea stretching out endlessly before us.

The gentle waves shimmered under the golden rays of the setting sun, casting a mesmerizing glow across the room. The sound of the ocean's rhythmic lullaby filled the air, creating a serene atmosphere.

"So, what exactly did you want to show me?" I inquired, trying to break the silence that had settled between us after we sat on the sofa.

She grinned mischievously, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"It's a surprise," she replied.

Then, she gracefully made her way to one of the desks and retrieved something from it. It was a bag containing approximately quarter of a kilogram of red crystallized powder.

"That's Dragon Crystals," I murmured, memories flooding back. It was the same drug my old classmates had used during their final vacation on Earth that I fully paid. Enjoy exclusive adventures from empire

"So, you're already familiar with this?" she asked, a playful smile gracing her lips. Her demeanor shifted from that of a Russian girl to that of a mischievous woman with a liberated spirit.

"A friend of mine mentioned it once. So, you're a user?" I asked, my expression showing my disinterest.

Suddenly, all my enthusiasm about her dissipated after realizing she was a drug user. It completely killed the vibe for me. I even contemplated leaving the place right now.

"This is something different. That Dragon Crystals you mentioned is just a cheap knockoff with side effects. This one is much safer, with no adverse effects. We call it Red Moon Dust," she explained.

The moment she mentioned "Moon," my interest was caught.

"Here, give it a try," she insisted.

"How about you show me first," I replied with a nonchalant expression. I wasn't about to try something labeled with the word "Moon" without seeing its effects on someone else first.

"Jeez, you're such a cautious person. Alright, I'll go first," she said, placing the crystals in some kind of apparatus and melting them down.

Once the liquid was ready, she took a syringe and filled it. Her movements were clumsy, yet there was a hint of excitement in her eyes as she prepared to inject herself.

With shaking hands, she found a vein on her arm and inserted the needle, pressing the plunger slowly.

As soon as the drugs took effect, she slouched onto the sofa. Instantly, her facial expression shifted, displaying a serene and relaxed demeanor.

'Mind Eye,' I whispered under my breath, activating my ability to see her stats.

I double-checked her status, confirming that there was nothing wrong with it. It seemed that the "Moon" reference was simply a name and not necessarily indicative of its effects.

"Try it, you'll feel really good, I promise," she grinned at me with a seductive look. Her heart beat faster, and her breathing became more upbeat due to the drugs.

"How about we discuss where you obtained these drugs?" I proposed to her.

[Suggestion: Failed]

'Failed?' I mused inwardly, taken aback that my suggestion had no effect on her. 'Could this drug be responsible for that?'

The fact that my suggestion, which was now at level 200, failed to elicit any response from her was shocking. It should have been foolproof, working without fail on normal individuals. This turn of events was definitely unexpected.

"I can't tell you that; it's a trade secret," she replied with a grin, putting her finger to her lips. It was evident that she was thoroughly intoxicated by the drug.

"Give it a try, it's perfectly safe," she insisted, urging me on.

"I don't use drugs," I replied, shaking my head firmly

"How about you satisfy me instead? I'll give you money," she suggested, rising from her seat and gently touching my cheek. Her boldness was surprising; she was treating me as if I were a prostitute.

"Oh, you think you can afford me?" I retorted, my tone icy.

This was the first time a woman had dared to speak to me in such a manner. Despite her earlier facade of sweetness and kindness, it was becoming clear that she was nothing more than a textbook rich girl, using her parents' money to indulge in foolish behavior.

"Money can buy anything," she whispered seductively, her lips tracing a path along my neck in an attempt to entice me.

"Stop," I warned her firmly, then, using my telekinesis, I choked her and pinned her to the wall.

"I... I can't breathe," she gasped, her feet flailing erratically in the air as her face grew paler and paler.

Walking closer to her, I checked her body for anything that could interfere with my powers, but found nothing.

'Maybe it's hidden,' I thought to myself. Without hesitation, I tore off her clothing, revealing a metal piercings in her nipples. Just as I was about to touch them, a system notification sounded.

[System: Danger]

"A moon gem," I muttered, realizing the source of her immunity.

'Don't tell me…' I observed her closely, realization dawning on me.

I recalled the information about a Russian Organization's which was searching for Moon Gems.

'Could she be related to them?' I wondered , considering the possibility.

Having grown more powerful, I no longer found the immunity to my suggestion bothersome. However, it wouldn't hurt to gather information about this organization, just in case I needed it in the future.

I removed the piercing and tried my suggestion again. This time, it worked like a charm, and she became fully under my control.

"Now, tell me the truth. Who are you really, and where did you get this piercing?" I demanded.

"I am…"

CRACK!

The glass from the window shattered, and the dark-skinned guy rushed forward, ready to punch me.

BAM!

His fist landed squarely on my face, sending shockwaves that rattled the furniture throughout the room.

"What the fuck are you doing?" I asked with a cold tone.

That punch of his didn't even graze me. It was too weak, like a single ant trying to bite down on a full-size human.
