Chapter 349: The Betting Challenge

Chapter 349: The Betting Challenge

"Who said it was you he is after?" Tony sneered before turning towards Bloom as he slowly added while motioning with his head, "he is after our dear leader here."

And Bloom's mind blew off at this moment as he instantly realized what Tony was referring to from the beginning.

And instantly he felt deeply frightened and greatly excited by the challenge.

"I will do it," he slowly said before his face turned vicious, "if this will be enough to bring him down, then I'm in."

And his unexpected excited answer surprised even Tony. The two stood in silence glancing towards Bloom without even saying a single word for a long minute.

"Do you understand what we are asking from you?" Tony asked just to make sure Bloom didn't get it wrong.

"I know," Bloom firmly nodded, making the two exchange silent glances between each other.

"May I know why?" the king seemed not to believe Bloom would throw his life just on impulse.

"Well, you know this won't be the first time to be coupled with him as enemies," Bloom slowly said.

"What do you mean?" Tony slowly asked.

"Don't tell me..." the king paused before suddenly laughing, "oh my gosh, you are really something!"

Tony gave him a weird glance before he finally realized what the two were speaking about.

"The Swor town war?" Tony asked in much doubt, "he will be there as well?"

"He just said it himself," Bloom shrugged, "if I don't back off my fort, then he won't stop at this fight."

Tony nodded in understanding while the king said in excitement:

"So you plan to get rid of him here... I love the fighting spirit you have, really."

Bloom turned around before saying, "we have no time for that, what will be the plan?"

"In the middle of each battle he will come forward and issue a challenge against the leader of the other forces," Tony slowly explained, "and that means you."

"And I have to accept it, right?"

"No," Tony shook his head, "you have to play him a little or else he will suspect that."

Bloom stayed silent for a second before he sighed. "There is one problem though."

"What problem?" the king asked before instantly adding, "just tell me and I'll solve it right away."

Bloom didn't know what to say for a few moments. "I think... he fears me."

"..."

"..."

The two didn't expect him to say that before they exploded into laughter. Even the calm Tony couldn't help but laugh.

"I'm not joking," Bloom said in a helpless way, "I have met him twice now. The first time he acted the way you described. He tried to challenge and kill me to get rid off the problem in hand. But he failed."

"That doesn't mean he is afraid of you," the king said amidst his laughter.

"Then I met him once more, and that time he tried to play diplomacy with me," Bloom didn't mind their laughs, "he gave me that feeling... like he was wary of me."

The words he said forced Tony to stop laughing while thinking about what he just said. As for the king, he kept laughing hysterically like before.

"And why would he be scared of you?" Tony asked, trying to understand.

"I... have something that he fears," Bloom slowly said before adding, "don't ask me about it. Let it be a surprise for the two of you."

"Don't tell me you are planning to punish us for laughing... c'mon!" Tony tried to joke around and give the king a hint to stop laughing.

Yet the latter was already absorbed in Bloom's words and couldn't stop laughing or even understand such a hint.

So Tony had to hit him in the side with his fist to make him stop.

"What?" the king shouted in a strange way while Tony gave him a long face.

"You are hopeless, y'know that?" Tony could only sigh, "then you won't tell us about that weapon of yours?" he turned his attention back on Bloom, and Bloom nodded.

"But I can assure you he is afraid like hell from it," Bloom said, "so he might not follow that tactic of his."

"Then let's force him," the king said as if it was such a simple thing to do.

"Like doing what?" Tony crossed his arms in interest to hear what the thick headed king would say.

"Humph, I told you before," the king sneered before proudly patting on his chest, "I know a lot about his personality as well. Believe me, he has something that we can exploit."

"Like what?" Tony didn't change the interesting look over his face or unfolded his arms.

"He is addicted to betting," the king said in a serious tone.

"Addicted to betting?" Tony muttered, "never noticed something like that before!"

"That's because you lack any taste when it comes to bets," the king said before raising his chin slightly in the air, "but for someone like me, I can totally confidently say that Mordon is even more addicted to betting than me."

Tony rose an eyebrow while Bloom didn't know what he should say except asking:

"And how can we force him to fight me by using bets?" he paused before it was his turn to laugh, "don't tell me we'll bet him to fight me!"

The king shook his head as he took this matter so seriously, "we will ask him for a higher stake bet," he said, "and I just know the perfect way to do that."

Bloom seemed not to know what he was talking about, but Tony gave him a weird look before saying: "Don't tell me you want to use the betting spars!"

And the king nodded before excitedly saying, "our army isn't that weak, so don't worry."

"I've to worry," Tony didn't agree or feel the same excitement like the king.

"What is this betting spar?" Bloom didn't like standing on the side and not knowing what these two were talking about.
